Halloumi Ratings and Reviews
Dined here for by partners 60th birthday; every dish we picked was cooked to perfection; lamb chops, calamari, stifado - delicious, scallops & swordfish too. Size of tapas portions are on the large side, but we managed to eat 3 plates each. Food was served quite quickly (which we like), and staff were very nice. Will definitely go again.
The food was terrific as was the service - particularly for a Saturday night. I had Chicken Gyros, Halloumi Fries and Houmous (w/ Pitta). Three meze dishes per person is recommended on the menu and I found these three to be very filling. Food arrived very quickly and all together, which can't always be said for Tapas.
As for the ambience, it's a really nice setting with Edison bulb lighting, so not too bright! We will definitely be back, loved it.
Delicious dishes, Greek favourites and cosy atmosphere. Generous portions - 3 plates are recommended but some may prefer two: we had 12 dishes between 4 and it was a little much - although the staff were more than happy to box up our leftovers. Great location as well. Thanks, Halloumi!
Really great find. The food was lovely and all freshly cooked. We shared 5 dishes between 2 people, halloumi cheese fries, calamari, beef stew, filo pastry stuffed with spinach and feta and an aubergine dip with pitta bread. We also shared a bottle of Greek white wine which was good. We went on Fri 22nd Dec so the restaurant was very busy and noisy with Xmas parties but the service was excellent. I'd definitely go back.
The food was fantastic and the service was great. We ordered a few dips and pitta and they were delicious. Then we had several tapas dishes which took over the whole table, everything was delicious. We ordered some cocktails and some wine. The Saint Basil and the Zeus were lovely!
Halloumi follows a family tradition of welcoming eating. The food is authentic and modern. If you like Greek, you’ll like this place. Being more modern, there’s no traditional background music and it could be too loud for quiet conversation, but we both had a great meal together.
been there 3 times now. the menu is very good but i am looking forward to a new menu. love the octopus and chicken skew
not sure about the watermelon salad though. thought it was dear for what it was and the combination...
I have been too full to get to desert every time. maybe i would try to desert next time.
It was by far the best meal I’ve had this year. All credit to you because I write this in November. My parents, girlfriend and I came for my birthday and I’m very glad I chose to come here. The menu is quite deceiving in that it makes every dish look so simple, almost as if you could make it at home. The truth is you simply could not. We ordered a number of dishes individually however ended up sharing most.
There is a great atmosphere, the cocktails were well made and service smart. I will be back for the chicken gyros alone.
Greeted at the door by lovely friendly waitress who gave us a choice of tables, the menus and wine arrived quickly , great explanation of menus and dishes, they were served and tasted superb, was supposed to be 90 minute turnaround for table but they said don't worry...place was nice and busy which is good, but you could still have great conversation....we really liked Halloumi, and the staff were so nice...left them a good tip as they really deserved it....Will deffo go back soon. Thanks all of you x .
Stylish greek surroundings and excellent modern greek food. You will find some of the old classics on here such as Greek Salad, but there is an abundance of modern takes as well. I normally have 3 dishes for myself and sometimes this can be a bit much. The swordfish and king prawn souvlaki is outstanding. As is the feta tempura with chili sauce. Took two colleagues for dinner there last week and they were both blown away. Just go !
