We had a really lovely time. The staff were friendly and helpful but also let you enjoy time with your friends. The food was absolutely delicious, and such generous portions that we had to ask for doggy bags—which were happily provided, neatly divided into separate portions for each of us. The atmosphere was relaxed but with a sociable buzz; full on a Tuesday night with walk-ins still coming in. I’m a particular gin fan too, and love that they have a good range including two from Greece. I can highly recommend the Old Sport, which surprisingly is one of them and served with orange peel and cardamom seeds—just perfect.

Had high expectations. Would be fine if you’re getting mid week lunch deal. Disappointing portions on a weekend at full price. No options or alternatives for kids.

Food and service both brilliant, but music was far too loud for a restaurant. Want to be able to hear other people at the table without shouting and ambience doesn't benefit from the excessive noise at all.

I really wanted to love this place as I’d heard great feedback about the city centre restaurant, sadly, I didn’t. Food really not up to the quality of its neighbours. That said, the restaurant itself is kitted out great and the staff very friendly. I’ll stick to the bespoke places around Strathbungo and miss this chain.

Welcomed into the warmth by the joint maitre d. Who showed us to our table pleasantly and promptly. Thought the place was vegetarian not Greek so was surprised and impressed by the range of salad and hot dishes or memes small dishes. Make sure you include rice pudding with cinnamon and ginger for dessert. Gin is always good and the number feverfew tonic variety available pleasing. The food came quickly and allowed for us to stay longer. The broken plates were arranged as an art piece on the side wall. Ask for a side table overlooking Queen’s Park and look squint thru the window at another moving artwork pollokshaws road Friday night rush hour in the sleet and snow. Could have stayed longer. Peter

Greek tapas was absolutely delicious. Each dish comes when it's ready so you can sit with nothing to eat while others are eating if your fellow diners are having food you do not want.
Service was very good. Cute dishes for dips were a bit awkward as the lids take up too much room on the table with lots of other dishes too so everything was a bit cramped.

I had been a couple of times before this one. Invited a good friend for dinner.
Pita bread was cold. Tahini was very different from last times (think they brought wrong dip)
Halloumi was under cooked.
Coffee cool

A welcome addition to South side eating options. Good service and friendly staff. Menu as in city centre, has plenty of choice. I love gyro, and tzatziki and Halloumi fries! My friends hadn’t tried Halloumi before and were impressed.
Excellent house red wine.
However, the Baklava was disappointing. Instead of layered pastry, albeit soaked in honey, the middle part of the desert was like the soggy base of a scotch pie.

This is the second time that we have been to Halloumi South Side. On the first occasion there was a mix up when one of our main course items was not brought out to us. We did not say anything and we were not charged for it. On this second occasion this week one of the main courses was again forgotten but as we had ordered less items it was needed as we were sharing three items and only two were brought out. This time there was not an ordering mix up so we were promised the main course in three minutes. 3 staff members asked if all was ok and I had to tell them we were still waiting and it arrived after almost 20 minutes. We were offered a free drink each but declined. 5 mins later a drink was brought out for my wife. I declined again. This free drink was put on the bill. The original waiter did take off the very late item from the bill and give a little bit more off the full bill. We did not eat together as I had to eat mine as it was eventually getting cold. I do not think we will be back too soon, its a pity maybe we were just unlucky on the two visits.

It was cold (the restaurant was full of people in heavy jackets) and the service was very slow and waiters seemed grumpy. The lunch menu wasn't on (presumably because it was a bank holiday but no explanation of this?) and what we had was definitely not worth the price.

I have no complaints over the food at Halloumi South Side, everything we had was excellent. The service was very poor though. As soon as we came through the door, you didn't feel welcome. It took someone fifteen mins to come to our table and take our order and even then we had to go and get someone. I can understand if the restaurant was busy, but it wasn't even half full. No one ever came over to see if our food was fine during the meal and they did the same to the table to our right but for some reason kept going to the table to our left to ask if they were ok, very strange!

We asked for a desert menu when we were finished, as we were going to get desert and coffee but no-one came back to take out order. After waiting a further 15-20mins we decided to go to the bar area where the waiters/staff stood talking and asked for the bill. For the price of the food, I would expect a much better service. Its such a shame as they have done such a nice job on the building/décor as well as the food. I don't think I will be back in the evening but I would go give it another go for lunch.

Had a late booking (my fault, kept putting it off) but food was excellent quality and came out pretty fast. I've been to the one in town a few times but I thought this one felt slightly more spacious.

Only drawback was that we were sat by the door so got hit by a draft anyone came in, I guess table locations can't really be helped (and we were given the option of waiting for a different table) but maybe a set of exterior storm doors would help alleviate this.

A wee bit pricey too, each individual mezze looks cheap enough but getting the recommended number per person (3) can easily run the bill to £25-£30 per head. Excellent otherwise though.

Ambience is hard to get right when so many of the tables get drafts from the front door. There are too many cramped ones though, especially wh n you need so much space for the tapas style plates. We visited on a particularly miserable, windy day though so it’s probably not usually so bad. It’s smaller and therefore much less noisy than the city centre one. The food is good , staff pleasant and helpful.

Bar staff were excellent as was the ?manager. A few dishes were lovely but there were a few such as the Gyros not so good. Gyros meat was tough & salty, got a new one but it was the same. The food came out far too quick & in future would only order a couple at a time as there was no room on a table for 2. The window seats were also very draughty & you could feel the cold as soon as the door opened. However, great addition to the Southside with only minor issues...not put off!

Lovely restaurant with nice attentive and accommodating staff! Our original table was near a door which was cold and when we asked if we could move the staff were very accommodating and moved us to a lovely table near the bar. They were well mannered and polite! And the food was amazing! I can’t rate the place highly enough! Will definitely be back!

Food was great and exactly what we hoped for, but despite reserving, we were seated at the door with no stopping the cold when it was opened and we were kept waiting for some of the dishes and dessert menus.
Preferred our experience of the city centre restaurant.
