Halloumi South Side

Great food and lovely ambience. Music a bit loud but asked if it could be turned down and it was. Thoroughly enjoyed food.

Fantastic food and service! I reckon this is better than the Glasgow halloumi's. Because it is smaller, the acoustics are far better for the hard of hearing like me! It is expensive but the food is top notch!

Have dined at Halloumi several times and it never disappoints. Delicious, fresh and authentic food served by pleasant staff in modern, tasteful surroundings. We love it and look forward to coming back soon!

Quick service and delicious food

Initially service was VERY slow. Shown to our table & abandoned for over 10 minutes while others (who arrived later) were served and some tables cleared. Drinks order eventually taken but that was then slow to arrive - again several others served before us. I think they were understaffed for the number of diners. We had several apologies for the wait.

Meal when it came was okay, generous portions, but all more or less served together. With a small plates/meze style meal, it’s actually better if the plates are slightly staggered (especially starters vs mains) as otherwise it tends to cool before you can eat it. So service was initially too slow & then too fast! Don’t think I’d go back :-(

Fabulous food, good portion sizes. Can work out quite expensive though so I would love to see a pretheatre deal and kids menu options so we can visit more often! Five star service and a lovely restaurant.

I went to Halloumi with an old friend. I’m a regular diner there and love the place. It was fabulous as ever.

Excellent food, great value for money, excellent staff. We were not rushed out able to take our time. Staff recommend food & drink to enjoy definitely worth a visit & definitely planning a return visit myself

Food was excellent however a bit pricey. A meal for 4 2 bottles of wine came in at £143 having said that the night was really good but as I have hearing problems, the music was rather loud when I entered making it difficult to hold a conversation or even hear what the waitress was saying

I’ve been to Halloumi South Side on many occasions. It is consistently good in both food and affordability. I had calamari, chicken kebabs and moussaka. I really enjoyed all of them.

Service was fantastic, prompt but relaxed and staff were so great at accommodating a few wee surprises we had arranged as a celebration for one of our party. Restaurant had a great buzz about it and a real ‘place to be’ atmosphere the whole evening. Food was delicious! Will definitely be back.

If you love Halloumi City Centre you will adore this place. Same great food, usual excellent service from friendly and welcoming staff and same Halloumi feel but in a more chilled and airy venue. Absolutely loved it!!!

Food was good, but service was far too fast. We got our meatballs before our starters and everything was just piled onto the table.
We were in and out in an hour spending £52:00 very quickly.

This was my first visit to Halloumi South and I would definitely recommend it for anyone to give it at try. The mezze portions mean you can try lots of different things and get a real taste of Greece. The only downside from what we ordered were the prawns as the dish was particularly small and didn't seem good value. Saying that though the prawns, like everything else we had, were really tasty and cooked perfectly

The food is interesting, tasty and well-cooked and presented. The lunch menu is small, but good value. The staff are friendly and helpful, but service can have gaps because one table is served by several staff. We will definitely be back as the food, staff and space make it an enjoyable experience.

Great food, relaxed atmosphere and good value for money

This was my first time at Halloumi Southside for the Express Lunch and I will definitely return. Good selection of tapas dishes, the ones we chose were delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful with our choices. Also very attentive topping up drinks (tap water).

Love the food it’s great but always wonder why an early table with no one else there and anyone coming in is all sat on top of each other as the tables are so close today. Please spread us out!

Lovely greeting by staff, food excellent , only criticism would be the spills on the stairs and generally downstairs looking untidy and needing a sweep and store cupboards doors closed.

We’ve been planning to try this fairly local restaurant since we heard it had opened, and we were lucky enough to get vouchers for last Christmas. Access is great, and we managed to get parked about 100m away. We initially thought the music was loud - but it grew on us during the meal, and background were at a pleasant level. We were noticed by waiting staff promptly, and made to feel welcome. The menu choices were interesting, and we both like the meze approach to dining. The food arrived reasonably quickly, and the taste and quality was really good, and compared well to anything we’ve tasted outside Greece. We certainly intend to return for lunch in the near future.

I did ask if the music could be turned down slightly and they did but within a short time it was back to very loud. There were four at our table and we could hardly have a conversation such a shame as it is a really nice restaurant.

Lovely bright decor, spacious and accessible . Food very tasty but not as traditionally Greek as I expected! Staff a bit slow to respond when wanting to pay although very few diners by that time. Some of the music not very appropriate for type of restaurant .
On the whole a pleasant lunch experience!

Very disappointing this time. I have eaten here a few times and enjoyed it but this was below the usual standard. The Moussaka tasted like it had quite a lot of sugar added and the veg burger was on a cheap white bun with inedible salad at the side. Overall very expensive - £60 for 2 people - 2 tapas style dishes each and a bottle of house Greek wine ( which was good). Happy Haloumi is in the south side but there are so many great places opening up I’m not sure I would rush back.

It was a superb evening and the food and service was superb as usual.

Service was excellent but food was average. Meat dishes were chewy and not tender. Tahini was not like any tahini i've ever tasted. Saving grace were the hummous and halloumi fries.

Good quality food at reasonable prices. Attentive staff -friendly and helpful and not pushy. like the small plates - enough to share and very little waste. Would recommend to anyone who likes of would like to try Greek food.

Great social dining experience. Slightly marked down for the heat you experience when sat near the kitchen. Invest in some Air Con and experience would be of a much higher standard.

Delicious food, great service and lovely atmosphere!

Food was quite good but overpriced. Cheapest wine was £19... a bit expensive. Waiters and waitresses need to look around the room more to see if they are needed. The music is far too loud...how about looking at the average age of the customers, not everyone likes what the staff like.Some of the food is not authentic Greek food
