Slight issue with the booking when we arrived was swiftly sorted by the wonderful staff. Had a brilliant time as always! Very happy!
Perfect service. Great food. Wonderful surroundings.
Lovely service - out server was super attentive and made the experience lovely!
Thanks for a great evening ✨
Fantastic evening in the restaurant, food & service amazing. Will definitely be back again soon.
The food and ambiance was great, however the service a little slow and chaotic.
Certain items we ordered did not appear, we had to ask for them, plus we had to ask to be shown to our table after our booking time had been exceeded.
But all in all a great experience
Wow! Honestly think this is the best restaurant I’ve been to. And I’ve been to a lot haha.
The food was outstanding! Our waiter went above and beyond, such a friendly guy. My partner and I sat outside next to a heater and had a beautiful view of trees covered in fairy lights. I could not recommend enough.
We’re planning on staying at the hotel on our next visit to London just so we’re closer to this restaurant.
Great service. A beautiful collection of wines. We met up with friends from out of town and we had both the nice energy and the intimate feeling of being in a. private party! We love it. Thank you.
Very bad restaurant. The staff are rude and unfriendly. If you go there, hope you don’t have any questions, don’t have any problems. If you do, they will treat you as prisoners. I can’t see why it is a 4 star hotel. Someone did the stars should revisit. They treat pp differently i guess.
Food very good. It never disappoints and is excellent value. All in all a very nice place to eat.
Very good, nice food and service
Never fails to delight, relaxed elegance with a dash of fun!
Always excellent food and service. A great evening always when we go there for dinner.
We had only visited here for drinks in the past, as we love the fell of the place, so thought we would come for some lunch for my partners Birthday. We were not disappointed once we got over the following two issues. Firstly we were shown to our table which was not in an ideal position at all, so we asked to be moved. We were then shown to another table which was right next to the kitchen door where all the traffic would have been passing us and the table was right out on the edge so we would almost be in the way...We wanted to sit somewhere out of the way where it would be nice and quiet. We were then given a choice to re book for later in the afternoon and that they still would not be able to reserve any particular tables for us...during this discussion one of the other staff overheard and directed us to a table in the perfect area, so we were very happy. When it came to ordering our food, we started looking at the menu and found there was no set meal menu on the table, so we informed the waitress we were under the impression there was one when we looked at their website. She went away and came back with the set menu. We thought this was a bit off as this should have already been on the table as an option...Almost like they didn't want to give this cheaper option. So eventually once these issue had been sorted, only because we pushed for it, we had some lovely food, actually the food was fantastic! They even brought out a little Birthday surprise in the form of two pieces of delicious cake. The service was good and the staff were friendly, so apart from the table and menu issue, I'm sure we will go again one day.
It is a great venue the food is excellent and the service is really good
Lovely location and a very good value set meal that ticked the majority of the boxes.
The starter was very good. The main (venison pudding) was only let down by the watery sauce which was served with it.
The only real big let down was the pudding. I opted for what was in effect french toast. It was far too heavy and not light and fluffy as french toast should be. Something has gone wrong with the interpretation of the recipe here so needs a rethink. If not for that i would have been great.
Delicious pre-theatre dinner. As we were early, it was quiet but soon picked up. Lovely atmosphere but lighting was a bit too dim. Attentive staff who kept our drinks filled and who gave us a lovely birthday surprise at the end.
We had a very enjoyable meal post theatre at Ham Yard. Recommended
Lovely ambience and good food but poor service. We were completely forgotten about, food arrived before the drinks, sides forgotten and food finished by the time they arrived. Bill took 20 minutes to arrive and card machine another 20.
Delicious set menu, vibrant ambience with efficient and friendly staff
Our server George was amazing and so great at his job.
This is a review of two halves. I arrived at Ham Yard and the booking was for a table rather than afternoon tea, the lovely member of staff at the greeting station quickly sorted this out and led me to my table. George was our waiter and could not have been nicer, chatting with them was an absolute pleasure. The afternoon tea itself was nice, lots of fresh ingredients and a GF intolerance catered for.
When we had finished our tea we asked to move to the bar, we were told that there was limited space and we would need to find out own table. We paid and moved to the bar locating an table easily.
We ordered cocktails and part way through were told that we needed to return the table at 6:45 as there was another booking. When we had finished our drinks a different member of staff asked if we wanted another. we relayed the info about needing the table back and she went to check on the system. she returned and said we were ok to keep the table until 7 so could order another drink as that left us 25-30 mins. We ordered a glass of champagne each. From this point the experience went down hill.
The previous member of staff returned and questioned why we had another drink and repeatedly why it was necessary for us to check with another member of staff then he had told us we needed to move. He was unnecessarily aggressive, rude and abrupt. The confrontation was not something you expect to be part of in any walk of life, let alone in a hotel bar. We asked if other tables were available and were told we needed to pay the bill. We settled the bill and left.
The bar wasn't overly busy, there were several tables available at 7:10.
This experience was relayed to the lovely lady at the restaurant reception on the way out.
We moved to the Soho Hotel where the service in the bar couldnt have been more accommodating.
Always a reliable bet for good cocktails. We only went for one drink before dinner but had mentioned it was my partner's birthday and they brought out a small cake when we asked for the bill!! Totally unexpected considering we hadn't been there for long - 10/10 for great service!
Lovely champagne, lovely cocktails, lovely service, beautiful venue
Always beautiful and fun. Love the vibe of Ham Yard!
Great service and lovely food! Would return again!
Fifth visit and always excellent. Lovely surprise of a birthday cake, thank you xx
Had a wonderful time. Beautiful room with greenery. Comfortable chairs. Cute teapots (big size too), cups and saucers. Friendly, helpful staff, who talked us through our afternoon tea and explained what every item was. Was attentive with my friend’s allergies. Wasn’t rushed out at the end of our sitting, which was nice that we could finish our tea in our own time.
Will definitely be returning.
Great vibe, super attentive and friendly staff, good wine selection and well prepared, cooked and presented food. Looking forward to the next time.
Food was ok, but overpriced. Service was good, but there was an £80 mistake and overcharge in the bill. Overall experience was on
Warm welcome and acknowledge request to be seated near the window and front of restaurant. Attentive, friendly and genuine waiter Antonio and all other servers were great. Drinks topped up as soon as low, waiter also made recommendations for food which was a appreciated.
Service was just at the right pace and enjoyed the experience so much that we stayed for after dinner cocktails. Espresso Martini’s were perfect.
Lovely venue and space with really tasty looking classic food. Polenta was lovely although portion was a bit small. Schnitzel was OK- a bit greasy and the sauce was very strange and oily. Lovely cocktails
Staff were very welcoming and diligent. Food, simple but tasteful.
Excellent service! They surprised my sister with a birthday dessert without request :)
The afternoon tea was exquisite, very much worth the price.
Great restaurant, lovely service, terrific food, great ambience. We were all concerned with covid but we were able to sit tables apart from others and feel safe.
The staff were very pleasant and the meal delicious. Would definitely go back.
6 of us for dinner, food and staff were outstanding. A lovely ambience.
We had just got engaged and then decided to have dinner. The service was exemplary, the food delightful and a decent size as well.
All in all, a great place.
New Year’s Day lunch with a friend
New Year’s Eve at Ham Yard, a delight, fabulous food, wonderful ambience, a great band, dancing 2022 in was perfect, highly recommended
My wife and I had a bar Booking at 8:30pm after a great trip to The Piccadilly Theatre, situated a short walk from Ham Yard. Bar was quite for a New Year’s Eve but not unexpected considering the Covid goods trying to ruin xmas again. Ambience was still good and bar staff were excellent. Cocktails are a must at Ham yard. Fully recommended. One of our favourite bars in Soho
Really enjoyed it. Great food and service. Fun band
