Ham Yard Bar and Restaurant

I was so excited to eat here but was very disappointed. Inside of restaurant was uncomfortably cold. We were initially sat by the door so we asked to move and was put under the air conditioning unit. I had the smoked salmon starter which was literally a large plate of smoked salmon and a bowl of burnt toast... for £19.50! The ox cheek was bland, no flavour what so ever and the sauce was like water. No waiters came to check if our food was ok or to see if we needed more drinks so our glasses were empty throughout our meal. Then desert, poached pears... or rather half a pear with a scoop of overpowering chocolate sorbet which took away the taste of everything else. Beautiful setting but very expensive for not good quality of food or service. Very disappointing!

We had a table in the Courtyard which was lovely and even though tables were quite close together we didn't hear other conversations. The heaters kept us lovely and warm and it was a lovely atmosphere and looked really nice. The food was beautiful and portion size good. Service on the whole was good although there were a few times we had to ask for the same thing multiple times before it got done and a, side order arrived after we had all finished our mains which was not so good. Overall was lovely would go back the food was delicious just need to be a little more on the ball with service.

Average food for such a pleasant hotel/restaurant

Overall, we had a lovely evening - made special by the team who looked after us, moved us and made us as warm as possible. It feels like the terrace could be more Christmassy and blankets, etc provided. Felt a little stark. The food is good, but quite pricey for what it is. But overall, given the current circumstances, the evening was good and I would go again in the summer.

Great pre-lockdown dinner. One or two problems with getting the food out because it was so busy but the staff handled the issue really well. Food was very good and would thoroughly recommend the restaurant. I would like to try again in summer when we can sit outside.

Table for two in the bar seating but tucked into an enclosed courtyard space. Great ambience, service just right without being overbearing. Drinks delicious. Try the sancerre. Bar foods not overly complicated. We were offered a la carte but bar food was great.

I used to go to Ham Yard a lot before.
Managed to book a table at the bar area.
The food was average, because my friend ordered a risotto, which was overcooked and unseasoned.
My walnut salad was an average choice too.
Otherwise it was a nice experience.

Great atmosphere , lovely food and superb friendly service . I cannot praise the restaurant enough for being so professional in these very challenging times. Highly recommend to anyone.

Lovely outside setting which is great at the moment. We had a wonderful waitress who was so lovely. Food was tasty and I would definitely return.

Very average- Charing Mayfair prices in Soho. Not spectacular inside and attracts a rather loud drunk crowd which kills the ambiance.

Lovely outdoor terrace with heaters and cover and attentive service. Main food was great but sides could have been warmer.

A recommendation from a friend, and our visit was superb from start to finish. The staff and service was superb from the start. The food was wonderful. I can wait to return, and am already recommending to friends. I wish the restaurant and hotel he very best as we exit these uncertain times.

Beautiful courtyard with excellent heaters and blankets as required. Thoughtful and attentive waiters. Glorious abs unique cocktails. Delicious food that we were impressed about how they managed to keep it piping hot despite serving us outside. Wonderful evening and we will be back!

A delightful experience. Amazing food, tasty, good size decent value for money.

We were really disappointed. The lobster cocktail was the highlight but the beetroot salad was disappointing and over priced. Our bill had to be returned twice due to overcharging and the service was inconsistent.

It was great but very chilly need to put the heating up a notch

Haven’t been here for a while and, whilst I enjoyed it on previous visits, it has really upped its game. Food was really good and the presentation- linen, crockery etc were really lovely

We sat outside, to comply with Tier 2 regulations. Having breakfast. The moved a heater to near us and made sure that we were comfortable. Attentive service, a comprehensive breakfast menu. My pancakes with maple syrup were delicious.
