Yesterday was 3 course Thanksgiving menu at £55+. We were stuffed. They even changed the included bourbon based drink for champagne. A very good place with great buzz. Keep returning.
Fabulous as usual. Great atmosphere.
We found Ham Yard Hotel for a cream tea to be excellent value, and the surroundings were fabulous!
Overpriced for the quality of the food
Head waiter forgot our coffee order and we had to order it again
Staff could be more friendly
Wouldn’t rush back to go there again
Can’t go wrong with this restaurant and bar ! Food great service very good and amazing decor .
Great place, good service but just a shame the bottle of bubbles was room temp but it got better as it cooled in the ice bucket
Really nice and quite special for birthday afternoon tea. Only feedback really is book on the phone if it's for afternoon tea as it's not clear on line. And also they need more sandwiches and less sweets on the cake stand. Was too rich. But for the money it was really nice overall and the crockery and silverwear really add to the experience. Lovely.
We went to The Ham Yard Hotel for a belated birthday lunch for my partner. We’ve been there before for drinks and always wondered what the food would be like, it’s always busy, so for us, that’s a good sign. The food was amazing as were the staff, who were very attentive and friendly. We both thoroughly enjoyed the meal, drinks and the overall experience and wouldn’t hesitate to go back again. On a personal note, it’s good that they have meat free options on their menu.
Faultless experience at the Ham Yard bar & restaurant. Fabulous vibrant atmosphere, attentive service & tasty food!! What a great night….!!
Eating outside near the heaters was very comfortable at about 13°C, and the courtyard was very cute. Good food and drinks, and very good service.
Bland halibut. No concept of ratatouille. Vastly overpriced.
Excellent food, service and good value as we chose menu
Good was lovely, service was lacking as we had to flag our waiter down several times for water and the check
First class food, excellent service, superb decor and ambience
First had afternoon tea at Ham Yard in 2016. It was excellent. Five years on, service and value have slipped into the rack em and stack em 3* market. The hotel, which hasn't changed, looks tired. It's very busy with business meetings and staff miss all the opportunities to make it feel special. Price has gone up, food quantity and quality has gone down. I'm sure they will blame Brex-Cov, it's always a convenient excuse, rather than step back and look at what they are attempting to offer. There are plenty of new places to go in London, places where they are genuinely keen to impress and offer a proper relaxed afternoon with excellent food. That's where I will head next time with my hard earned, leaving Ham Yard to it's complacency.
Lovely ambience and welcome by Altinio the waiter.
Great food, drinks and service
The food was excellent, as was the service. A beautiful setting in a courtyard twinkling with lights, kept nice and warm by patio style heaters. We had a superb meal and will be back.
Ambience was great but food rather disappointing especially the smoked Burratta which should be creamy but was like smoked rubber. Service very friendly and well looked after
Great choice on the set menu, and George was a fantastic and attentive waiter.
Plenty of space between tables . Will definitely return
Inesa serving us was fabulous and made the experience one to remember
Ambiance was good as usual. Food was better than before. I had a lovely time.
Outstanding service! Food was delicious and ambient very nice. Would totally recommend!
The booking was meant to be for afternoon tea for a 30th birthday, but apparently this wasn’t the case and they didn’t even offer to cater this for us (seeing that there were many other tables were having afternoon tea) as we came here specially for it
I love the buzzy atmosphere at The Ham Yard whatever time of day you visit. We were going to the theatre so had an early dinner and chose the 2 course set menu with glass of champagne. I had a Tom Collins Hoax which was good. We both had the onion soup which was delicious and a very generous serving. I had the fried aubergine and my niece had the stone bass, both very tasty. There is an extensive drinks menu and I had another Tom Collins Hoax and my niece had a cocktail (can’t remember which one). A very enjoyable meal.
Food was good, we were seated outside, so it did seem to take a little longer to arrive. Server was brilliant and otherwise a good night.
Very enjoyable meal, food was delicious, staff attentive but discreet - great ambience
The interior of the restaurant is beautiful. The service was a little slow. The wine was excellent. Food was okay / I think I made a fairly poor choice with the schnitzel. All round a pretty good experience.
This is one of the most stylish hotel restaurants in London. The service matches the style which is very unusual because at the moment it's so hard to find experienced team members for hospitality. This must be a great place to work to keep such good staff. The food was not bad although served beautifully and we took two fixed menus and one a la carte so it wasn't bad value. All in all a really lovely experience highly recommended.
The servers were absolutely lovely but it was hard to get their attention sometimes so we were waiting quite a while to order but once we did the food came very quickly and was very good. The set menu was a little underwhelming but excellent value for a restaurant in that location. Would definitely recommend.
Good pre theatre option. Simple menu selection, good food.
Food was excellent & good value on the set menu. Service & general ambience really good too.
Food excellent staff wonderful Ambiance brilliant
excellent server who made the night extra special .... thank you
This is a great restaurant. Excellent food, beautifully prepared and cooked, served in superb surroundings. It is good value for money. The staff are very helpful and courteous. Highly recommended.
Great food and amazing service
We were a group of 6 girls celebrating a birthday. We had a bar table with drinks/cocktails and bar food which were excellent. Friendly and attentive staff. Good atmosphere. Quite pricey but worth it.
Fantastic food, fabulous waiter and great atmosphere - loved it
Fabulous venue. We had the most wonderful and fun waiter, George, who kept us entertained as well a providing outstanding service.
We had the Set Menu. The starters were delicious and a good portion. But we were a bit disappointed with the mains. The aubergine main course was nothing special - rather plain. Two of us had the Cod Brandade. The portion was a joke - barely filled a third of the plate. Could almost taste fish in the potatoes. Miniscule portion. Dessert was excellent.
We did love the experience and will go back, hoping for better mains.
I booked this restaurant only becuase of the offer via Opentable. Unfortunately this was not honoured by the restaurant which was very irritating. Had i been aware of this, I certainly would not have gone there. I enjoy eating out and i'm happy to pay for tasty food however, this was not the case at this restaurant. The food is simply ok, nothing to write home about and certainly not worth the money. I asked to ask for bread twice before it was finally brought 15 minutes later. We had ordered our starters by then and they arrived almost at the same time as the bread - not a great start!
I ordered the scallops for starters (came with 3 pieces) then had fish stew for main which had about a litre of soup and 6 (it was hard not to count!) slithers (think sashimi) of fish. I had to ask for some more bread in order to feel like I had eaten anything. When I think about the cost of those dishes, I can't help feeling cheated especially as they were not memorable at all. I must say the ambience and environment is lovely and maybe that's what you're paying for and not the food. But then again, surely it's better to go a retsurant where you can have both? luckily there are plenty of those in London, just not the Ham Yard unfortunately - not for me anyways. You can probably deduce that I will not be returning nor would I recommend this venue to friends.
