Ham Yard Bar and Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Ate 3 very good courses from the fixed price menu and a companion's 3 vegetarian courses were equally well received. Another friend really enjoyed their main course from the á la carte.
Lovely table, lovely room, lovely service. The very popular lively bar looked like my idea of hell.
Price was very acceptable and i will certainly eat there again.
Great meal in impressive surroundings. Service level was excellent and waiting staff very attentive. The dining room is set in such a beautiful part of the hotel and the entrance lit up by the trees with all the twinkling lights was impressive.
The 2 or 3 course offer was exceptional value and we were able to mix with one of us having the set menu and other the a la carte. Would highly recommend the potato and artichoke starter and the ox cheek with beetroot mash from the set menu.
The food presentation was instagram worthy with good portion sizes. The real silver tableware made for a feeling of real decadence and would be perfect for a special occasion. Wine list was also extensive with options at all price levels. Restaurant busy for a Wed night which made for an even better experience - really buzzy and a great crowd and not pretentious at all.
This was my first time to eat in the Ham Yard but it certainly won't be my last. I was there for a business lunch and the food and service were excellent. I am gluten intolerant and my guest was intolerant to dairy. We ordered what we thought look good for us from the menu and were then asked about dietary requirements. The server was very attentive and brought gluten free bread (not requested) and olive oil and balsamic for my guest. Normally you feel as if your dietary requirements are causing an inconvenience for the restaurant however dining here was an absolute delight! Fuss free and great value lunch menu.
Lovely restaurant and bar. Service is very attentive but discreet. 3 course pre theatre menu was excellent which was accompanied by prosecco. Courses are not huge but good size for a normal appetite. Mozzarella starter was very tasty served with fresh crusty bread roll. The Hake main course was beautifully cooked as was the ox cheek with beetroot. The macaroon was beautifully presented and the cheese was well presented with seeded biscuits. Toilets very clean with lovely soap and hand cream. A very lovely experience and good place to meet a friend to have a chat.
We really enjoyed our lunch at Ham Yard. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent and also very good value at £19.50 for two courses and a glass of prosecco. The only slight criticism would be that a bottle of sparkling water cost £6!
My friend and I really enjoyed our night. Not only was the venue very pleasant, spacious but the atmosphere (decoration and sonic ambience) was also great, not to mention the food and the service both really worth a visit !
I was happy to have found this little gem and to have pleasantly surprised my friend. Would definitely recommend it!
Excellent place to eat, the food was first class and the service was excellent with very pleasant and polite staff. We were made to feel very welcome. The meal was excellent value 2 courses off a set menu for under £20 and a glass of prosecco thrown in on the house. Will definitely revisit wen next in London
I couldn't recommend Ham Yard Bar and Restaurant enough! We had a lovely experience. Everything was great, from the friendly staff, to the beautiful food, to the lovely way our young daughter was treated. We had the set menu which was excellent value and we weren't made to feel like the poor relation. We will definitely visit again if we are in the area. Thank you. X
We hade lunch here on New Years day and it was excellent and very well priced at £19.50 for 2 course plus a glass of fizz.
The goats cheese salad was excellent and the monkfish cheek scampi was delicious.
The poached chicken was very soft and the salmon cooked on the point.
Went for the 3 course set menu for a pre theatre dinner with the family. We all thoroughly enjoyed the evening, starting with champagne seated in the bar and a further glass of bubbly which came with the set menu in the beautiful restaurant. The decor is very tasteful & the service professional & friendly, would definitely recommend the food too.
