Hans' Bar & Grill
Hans’ Bar & Grill is a brand-new addition to Pavilion Road. Inspired by namesake Hans Sloane, we will be open from 7am serving an all-day seasonal menu.
Great food and service. It was really busy but overall we had a great time.
The ambiance, food and service was excellent. Will definitely return. A special thanks to the thoughtful server who arranged a "bon voyage" plate for one of our guests.
The decor is lovely and the service is very friendly. A perfect place for a good catch-up.
Hans Bar is a real gem in Chelsea. The service is fabulous - just the right level of attention. The food is very fresh and tasty. I particularly love the nibbles you can order while you choose from the menu. They are particularly special.
Birthday dinner. Been here once before for a casual lunch and it was a pleasant ambience with reasonable food (had the poached salmon). This time we had aubergine flatbread (a toxic combination of salty, flavourless, dense and soggy) washed down by the smallest glass of English sparkling rose I’ve seen for £24 (almost the cost of the bottle - I’d know as I’d bought one for a friend just the day before). Many of us then ordered the pork cutlet. We spent at least 10 mins discussing as a group whether it was off before deciding it was just “very porky” and taking our chances. We cut our losses without ordering dessert. Sad but probably won’t go again.
Have walked by several times and finally made reservations for dinner with friends. It was a lovely evening in a great setting. Gabriel couldn't have been nicer. A few members in the party talked to him about their meals - but overall I thought it was a lovely experience. Would definitely go back again.
The restaurant at 11 Cadogan Gardens hotel used to be Tartufo which was charming - so we were eager to try Hans for Sunday lunch and the menu looked inviting. Most unfortunately it was a din of deafening noise, with poor acoustics which made our conversation almost impossible. The service was chaotic, staff running around looking frazzled and disorganised. My quinoa starter was bland. My husband returned the tuna tartare as it was incredibly salty. The main dishes for the rest of us arrived whilst he was tucking into the second version. No wine we asked for from the menu was available. This could be a nice spot but it feels haphazard and lacking in the basics.
Beautiful place! Service is slow, the restaurant was not busy and the waitress was not available most of the time, although she was attentive whenever she shows up. My meat was not cooked as I ordered. Fries are good.
Flat bread is awful. Mains were passable but something does not quite work with this restaurant. We won’t be going back
first time at this restaurant and overall it was nice - a few issues with staff and do not fit in with the style of restaurant and found they were lacking in service, knowledge of how to pour wine and a little basic in their skills - it is not a cheap restaurant (depending on what you have) therefore expect a higher level of staff
the wine list is too pricey for this type of restaurant - need at least a good house wine
A wider choice on the menu would be an aimprovement
Taste of Hans menu delicious and great value. Lovely venue.
Great food/service again and really enjoyed the new options on the menu. Will be back again!
Reataurant very cold as seating was under a conservatory roof. Marble tables only added to the chilly atmosphere. The server was unfriendly. The food was served at different times. We had to wait 10 mins for one of our party to receive her main course after everyone else’s main courses had been served. Dirty dishes were not cleared from the table. However many of the dishes were delicious and imaginative. Pretty decor. Attractive location.
It was quiet enough for us to talk comfortably which was what we wanted. However the wine list was very overpriced, especially when compared to the set menu which was good value. The food was fine except the starter I ordered - mackerel, horseradish, beetroot & watercress - what arrived was rather dry circle of these promising ingredients with all moisture compressed out of them. The decor and ambience were nice, it was quite empty and the service was patchy. I wouldn’t rush back.
The cooking is good enough, the pork chop was surprisingly tender.
But the absurd and patronising greeting by a waiter:'How are we today?', delivered to the first arrival, alerted this guest that staff training has been skimped.
Add to that the noisy setting of tables, the constant topping up of sparkling water by any staff, and their infuriating inability to notice when one did want attention, made me think that I couldn't be bothered to return.
The previous evening I had dined at The Beaumont. The standard of waiter behaviour, so very superior.
Very impressed with kind staff and facilities for wheelchair/disabled access. Nice bright rooms and lovely food and service.
Excellent value for the 3-course deal with champagne, especially the quality of cooking. Thoroughly enjoyed it with my friend. The ambience was fine but on the quiet side. Will come back for brunch.
Delightful, personable server. Nice portions. Easily able to converse at table. Very nice ambience.
Very pretty new restaurant addition to Pavillion Road, loved the decor, great service and outstanding food beautifully presented, it is sure to become a neighbourhood favourite and brilliant for No 11 guests too! The 3 course menu with a glass of champagne had plenty of choice and is brilliant value.
Best supper out I’ve had in a long time - delicious food great service and very cool interiors
We had a lovely evening dinner at Hans Bar & Grill. The food was delicious and the service attentive. We cannot fault anything and can’t wait to go back again.
A really pleasant lunch, very good service, lovely food. I look forward to returning and trying the brunch menu on another occasion.
Great décor, good service, enjoyed the food, would recommend.
Lovely and stylish restaurant. Food and pricing can be better. Choice of food limited.
loved the restaurant interior , service was good and friendly , food was ok but I feel for some of the dishes a little over priced especially the lamb dish for the portion size .
But otherwise my wife and I enjoyed it.
Fantastic meal all round. Service was quick and attentive. The design and decor is amazing. Recommend the stone bass!
Good experience and out waitress really tried hard and good service really lifts the spirits and makes the occassion
We had a lovely meal with business colleagues...the service was just great. We will return.
Nostalgic lunch with my sister and we used to live in Pavilion Road and my sister went to Holy Trinity school next door to the Hans Grill. A lovely experience and memory for us both. Great ambiance and service.
This was a lunchtime ‘spur of the moment’ kind of visit, the restaurant was empty (but it was the football period). The restaurant is beautifully designed, and decorated in very neutral tones, we were given a lovely table under the lantern.
I had the mackerel salad to start which was very tasty, then the halibut, also lovely
Check out the toilets which are very classy indeed!
Would definitely go back!
We had a great time. It's lovely to see this new little gem in Chelsea flourishing. It was really busy but the service was still exceptionally good. The food was very tasty and just right. I love it there and will be back soon.
There was an awful lot of hype around the Chef opening this restaurant but quite frankly any teenager could have pulled off these dishes. Disappointed that Brunch is served all day and even then not much choice on the menu. If I had not been with my elderly mother I would have left. Only star given to decoration which is nice but food was beyond disappointing. We’ve had better food at a greasy spoon.
Great food and great service. Very well designed. The only let down was the wine list - only a couple of bottles out of around 200 wines under £35 and most were sold out. This should be changed otherwise the meal soon gets very expensive.
The choice of menu on saturday lunch time is way too limited. The table next to us left due to the limited selection had we not been with a hungry child, we would have too.
Full menu on a Saturday lunch time desperately needed please.
Underwhelming experience. The food was plain and the grilled meat not so special. Service was a bit slow, we had to ask for the water 3 times.
Embiance was nice but that’s about it.
Nicely decorated place. Professional service however food was really disappointing especially as not exactly reasonably priced. Everything very overcooked. Quite new so could be teething problems. Would not rush back unless hear of serious improvement which is a great shame as so close to my office and home. Luckily we have an abundance of very good other options.
Clean, new restaurant but service was slow and when the main course arrived it was practically cold. Not much food for the price either. A little lacking in atmosphere as it is technically a hotel restaurant but perhaps it will improve once they've been open longer. Good choice of food on the menu and good options for allergies and vegetarians.
The restaurant is a beautiful space with gorgeous decor and lighting. The service was attentive. Unfortunately the food was well below average. Poached salmon (which had actually been finished off in a frying pan) was overcooked and dry. Tasted like canned salmon. My partner’s burger was tasty, but the bacon was undercooked and cheese wasn’t melted. We only ate our food because we were hungry and it was edible. For the prices they charge, with so many other great restaurants in the area, I won’t be coming back.
newly opened restaurant so naturally a few teething problems. brought and poured wrong water, undercooked lamb and over priced steak. has potential though and am sure that given time it will get it all up to scratch!
