Hard Rock Cafe - Amsterdam
I booked a table here for Sunday 15th March. We travelled 20 minutes from our hotel for our dinner reservation, only to get to the restaurant and see it was closed. They did send me an email or let us know that it was shut, so we had a wasted journey and struggled to find anywhere to eat our dinner as it was booked for 8.30pm. I wouldn’t have minded if we were given notice of this so we could book somewhere else to eat, but we weren’t.
Very friendly and efficient staff, nice atmosphere and lovely food
The sexiest waiter Roberto and a lovely Irish waitress was very helpful too. Food was delicious
The food was great. As a starter we had spicy wings and then a mega delicious burger and baby ribs. The cocktails are addictive 😊. The service was absolutely friendly and courteous. Our table was ready for us even 10 minutes ahead of time. Unfortunately they did not notice that it was a birthday. That made me very sad because there were many birthdays around us that evening. But we would come back anytime.
I must say it was the worst hard rock I’ve ever been to. The service was lovely though, our waitress was great as was the host! I had the chicken fajitas and my boyfriend had the steak and the food was poor and really didn’t taste great.
First time at a hard rock cafe and i was not disappointed, the food was on point. the boozy milkshakes are must have! we clearly had a new member of staff as she was being walked through everything while serving us but she did a great job smiling through out. cant recommend this place enough.
Starter was enjoyable, main wasn’t worth the money in my opinion, waiter was superb.
Burgers were nice, but mac and cheese was tasteless, plain, and dry, and the chicken was pink. I asked for plain fried, the waiter pushed me for cheese and bacon fries, although I repeatedly said no, yet they came anyway at an additional cost I didn’t want.
The sangria was nice, but when asked for a pint of lager I was pushed to buy a glass I again didn’t want.
Overall, not a great meal.
We reserved a table at 6PM. Came in at 5:50PM and had to wait until 6:20PM to get a table. The seating is upstairs and most tables were empty. So why did we have to wait??
It took around 15 minutes for a waiter to come to us after we got seated. I ordered a coke and it took the waiter very long to serve us that drink and serve new ones after I finished it.
After all this visit was a 1 out of 10. Long waiting for no reason, waiter said it was a busy evening.
Well with a half filled restaurant I couldn’t really call it busy. I would never visit this location ever again.
It was great experience, delicious food and very friendly staff. At the end we had gratis birthday desert and waiters were singing Happy Birthday song :) we were glad to speak in our language with the waiter Michal :)
Loved this place no matter what country I’m in and hard rock Amsterdam didn’t disappoint staff where friendly! Make my booking table was ready happy
Good and friendly service. Good food and good value for money.
Food was lovely. Waiter messed up the order. When the wrong item came it took ages for the correct order to be served. Drinks were served very slowly.
Food was bad, the waiter wasn’t nice but the building was beautiful.
we voelden ons zeer welkom ondanks dat het druk was, leuke bediening en goede muziek eindelijk in een restaurant ;)
Friendly cool staff, delicious food and great environment.
I emailed ahead of time as we traveled from the uk for my boyfriends 30th birthday and asked them if they’d be able to do something special.
On the night nothing was done to make it special they didn’t even wish him a happy birthday ... very disappointed with how little effort that put to making his birthday special.
Good service, and nice food, but overpriced and cocktails very small as lots of ice added and not very strong.
went to grab a quick-ish bite with my daughter pre-concert at Paradiso. we do this every time and it's very much part of the experience and we love it!
I have just returned from a weekend break in Amsterdam with my partner. As a tradition to every city we visit, we visited The Hard Rock Cafe in Amsterdam for our last night on Sunday 1st March.
We started our evening in the bar area before heading upstairs to the restaurant once our table was ready. Once we moved upstairs, the only way I can describe our experience is diabolical. Our waiter “Filipe Andre” showed us to our table. The restaurant compared the the others we have visit was shabby and lacked the atmosphere that we love when visiting. It was more like a dinner hall. No interaction or engagement from the staff. That didn’t put us off as I understand that everywhere is different, so thought about the great food we were about to receive. Filipe came over and took our order, we ordered our food and asked for a bottle of water for the table. 15 minutes later, despite walking past us several times, we had to ask twice more for our water. My partner also asked for a beer - Filipe didn’t ask what beer he would like and just answered with “yes” and walked off.
Once our food arrived, my side dish of mash potato was late. Our water and beer turned up at this point too, when my partner drunk water from the glass he quickly noticed the dirty pink lipstick mark that was all across the rim of the glass after drinking out of it - which was not only horrible, in the current climate of Coronavirus, its very worrying that a worldwide establishment such as yours can let hygiene slip. We also asked for mayonnaise which never turned up and the food was average at best.
Filipe could not be more unhelpful, his attitude was poor and did not represent the company to the level of service we have received at alternative branches. We asked for the bill, at no point did Filipe ask if everything was okay, if our food was okay or made any interaction with us.
This put a massive negative on our final night in Amsterdam.
I went to the Hard Rock Cafe with my partner, as soon as we walked in the door we was greeted by a waiter who was just yelling random things!
The music was very loud we couldn’t even hear ourselves think. We wasn’t even sitting near the speakers!
The food was nothing special but ok.
Yet we waited nearly 20 minutes for our plates to be removed from the table.
Overall the food was too expensive for what it was, the waiter/waitresses aren’t very friendly and looked as though they was overwhelmed even though the restaurant was not full and the music was too loud.
Great experience every time here! Good music, good food, good time !
Het was rommelig en chaotisch. Personeel was gestrest. Tafels stonden constant scheef overal, kreeg gevoel, dat er geen "leiding" was. In de kelder waar de bar stond was het helemaal een chaotische zooi.
We had a great time at the Hard Rock cafe
I have appreciated the food, the ambiance.
We will be happy to come back again
Food was amazing !!! Service was good and so was the ambiance. Wouls
Heerlijk gegeten. Bijna €7 voor een tapbiertje is echt absurd duur.
Food was delicious we had chicken fajitas and the southern combo of ribs & pulled pork and also a side of onion rings. Really big portions so not any need for any sides we struggled to finish it all. Only negative was that the drinks were quite expensive but the food was well worth the price.
Delicious food, very good service! Told my daughter turned 18 and a huge sorbet came for dessert on the house!
typical hard rock café, as usual, food and beverage excellent but too much
The Manager Adam was amazing. Had an issue with my main course but he sorted it straight away and couldn't apologise enough. Waitress gave us the choice on when we wanted to receive our desserts instead of just bringing them out. Didn't feel rushed at all.
All in all it was disappointing experience. I have booked a table long in advance, as that was a b-day of my husband and he really likes the chain. I also made a note in the booking that it was a b-day party. We have been given a squeezed table next to the kitchen with doors opening and closing and waiters passing by several times per minute. Normally I am fine, as all tables need to be filled in, but since I made a note that it is not an average dinner, but special occasion, I was expecting that it will be treated like that... And next to that since this note was made I was at minimum expecting that the waiter will congratulate my husband on the b-day occasion.... Not at all. All together with the amount you want to spend for b-day dinner and the great selection of restaurant I was having a feeling I could make a better choice.....
We all had a burger which were excellent. Service was very good. Our waitress was great. Overall a really great meal.
C’est la 4ème fois que je vais et je ne suis jamais déçu :)
Merci riche et joe :)
Had to wait 25 minutes to get a drink. No straws with cocktails. Food slapped down on table with not a single word from the server. Fries were cold. Onion rings and bacon on burger were cold. Had to ask three times for water.
Sally was our server and she was so lovely, our food came quickly and was delicious. Highly recommend!
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious too!
The tables were very cramped, everything else was great
Only thing to note : the waiter said we could have medium cooked for the meat, it was SUPER done and it's sad as the meat is good quality.
now we know that with a big restaurant you don't have necessary the time or for hygienic reasons to do it as costumers wants it, but there is a difference between saying we can have it Medium and it to be completely Done.
After eating before at HR around the world I was disappointed by HR Amsterdam.
They got my order wrong and when I got it back it was barley warm... the HOT fudge sundae wasn’t 🤦🏼♀️ That was cold and hard.
Booked a table for 6pm, arrived early to be told we will have to wait for a table to be available which was surprising considering we had booked the table a few weeks in advance.
After about a 15 minute wait, we was escorted to our table upstairs and after only a few minutes, our waiter asked the two of us to move table to accommodate a group of 12 which had just arrived. We agreed and was put on a table which on one side was the main stairs and where the door was, so a draft occurred every 5-10 minutes which was to be expected. However, the other side of the table was the entry/exit point to where the staff collected dirty plates and glasses, in which on two occasions my chair was banged into as the staff were entering this area. Not only was this a bad place to be sat, it also consisted of the staff hovering around the back of my chair chatting on several occasions.
The food! Our main meals were average, I had ordered baby back ribs while my girlfriend ordered the macho nacho burger, asked waiter to be cooked medium to well done. When the food arrived, the chips were warm and what tasted like unseasoned, the baby back ribs weren’t as tender as I would have liked, but the worst was by far the burger, arrived to the table rare, medium rare at best, my girlfriend acknowledged the waiter, Filipe , who we couldn’t fault in this whole process. Quickly took the food and had it replaced. Only downside was that we had to eat our last evening meal in Amsterdam separately as my ribs were soon to be going cold. During this wait the group of 12 started to become very noisy and begin swearing, we know this as they were also English speaking. Which wasn’t pleasant as there was children on the very next table. We don’t feel the money spent was worth the atmosphere or service we received.
Overall, very disappointing as we had chosen our last day to have this meal to top off a fantastic valentines weekend away, which was ultimately far below the grade it was made out to be..
