Harry's Bar is always a good choice for relaxed dining and good quality food with friendly staff. Incredible value with the 50% off deal at the moment.
Having eaten in many good restaurants in London, the food here is some of the best I have had. Very mouthful was delicious! The service was very attentive.
Really great friendly service - so refreshing for the City
Food service ambience was spot on. Value because of the 50% off food. Otherwise may be a bit pricey
The company done a good job in revamping the place. Looks great. Feel cosy. Despite the 50% off the portion remains good. My prawn cocktail was good. Good taste but a bit on the cold side feel like it comes out straight from the fridge. Food was well present. We had a great time catching up as the downstair restaurant was pretty quiet for a Tuesday.
The waiting staffs were ok and friendly. But can be trained better on how to approach customers when they are in mid conversation...
Overall will go back. It was a nice dinner.......
Love new decor and menu fabulous food and service as always highly recommend Martin
Delicious food, beautifully presented. A great menu with plenty of variety. Friendly staff, lovely decor. We enjoyed it very much
First time back since they had the major refurbish. Found myself missing the old ambience and food. Brasserie feel and menu is a big change. Will reserve judgement for now but will revisit.
Enjoyable catch-up meal at Harry's. The brasserie seemed a bit quiet, but then it was a Tuesday evening. Food was good - I always enjoy Harry's fish and chips .
Brilliant as always. Food, service, ambiance all fantastic as always.
Harry's was lovely as always - great service, delicious food presented in a beautiful way. Bit expensive, but you kind of expect those prices in the City.
Great atmosphere attentive service and great food at a good price
Food was excellent. Had the Duck and Mac and Cheese. Service was great and I really enjoyed the evening.
Excellent food and great value. Crab salad was super and tempura fish with chips All very fresh and light.
I went on a sunny Tuesday evening therefore it wasn't busy. We had great service and food and the staff were super friendly and nice.
Hidden gem in the City. Great staff and good food.
Very good as always - bit pricey but it's City prices which you'd expect to pay.
Surprisingly few people there. Great value with the 50% off deal. We were happy with the 6 or so choices for starters and mains. Attentive staff. Would return
One of my favourite restaurants in The City. Always a pleasure to eat here
Lovely food and friendly staff - it was a bit quiet downstairs but probably just because it was a Tuesday night and although there was less of a vibe than upstairs it made it easier to talk. Generous 50% deal but prices would have been a little high without it. Very central location - would definitely go again.
Rather peculiarly I was booked in by the Manager and noted on the paper booking form, went downstairs.
My guest was shown to upstairs without letting me know, subsequently we were both waiting for each other for 10 minutes in the same restaurant! Odd
Delicious food, very prettily presented and friendly waiting staff. The sofa bench at the back of the ground floor can get a little uncomfortable after a while and the restaurant can be a bit noisy (although easy enough to talk over). As a regular visitor I highly recommend Harry's Bar 2.
Attentive staff and food was served quickly. Lovely and light upstairs and a great place to have a drink or a meal, whether it be with friends or for a business lunch.
Modern restaurant but the food is really very good with an upstairs and basement. Good for business lunch. Range of food very good from reasonable priced snack menu which includes burgers to the a la carte (some quite mucked about dishes which I always think is unnecessary)which is a bit on the pricey side but then the quality is alps very good.
After a rather poor experience on my last visit, when a client wanted to go I was rather reluctant to go back so soon. I'm very pleased to say that I was very pleasantly surprised, Clare the manager was back at the helm and normal order resumed, with excellent service and great food. In addition they have the racing from Cheltenham all week, what a nice touch.
We had a delightful meal, the service was attentive, and not overwhelming. The food was excellent quality too.
Harry's Bar 2 needs to make up its mind as to whether it wants to attract the under 30's crowd whose hearing can stand house music blasted out from 5:30pm onwards, or to attract an older crowd interested in its restaurant. Given the limited space, I don't think Harry's Bar 2 can do both.
We kept pestering our poor waitress about the noise levels and we must be fair and say that whenever we complained about these, the waitress serving us that night did everything she could to accommodate our requests and the music was turned down, but evidently staff in other parts of the Bar noticed the reduced noise levels and turned the music back up. The Bar management eventually got the message but we were left wondering whether it was necessary for the dining area to have two speakers blasting out over the hapless diners.
The star of the evening was our waitress, who was charming and gracious and had endless patience with our non-stop requests to keep the music down. She is an asset to Harry's Bar 2 and saved the evening.
The hake was delicious at first. What was not acceptable, was getting a third of the way through the hake to find a price sticker on my plate, which had evidently been stuck to the fish. A price sticker which had become almost translucent as it had been through the cooking process. The restaurant removed my main course from the bill for 3 people "and we've also removed the service charge!". But as the service charge is optional anyway, that didn't seem particularly generous.
The waiting staff are friendly but too pushy. When having a business lunch you do not want to be interrupted by the waiting staff too loudly or too often. What would be fine for a casual meal is not so when the waiting staff interrupt an in-depth conversation again, with what feels like a fairly aggressive attempt to sell more drinks.
The prices are high for a casual lunch with friends, but if this place is going to attract people for a business lunch the staff must practice a little more restraint.
The waiting staff suffer from old-fashioned sexism. In our case a party of 3 people, 2 male & 1 female: all of the comments were addressed to the men, even though the table had been booked in the name of the female.
its always in the detail, service was slow, , the condiments didn't arrive, I asked for service to be removed from the bill - it wasn't, the staff struggled with English & I was unable to get a coffee with cream for a client, his exact comment "...what a struggle, why did you chose come here.." and during the meal I was notified by Opentable I had no-showed and the staff said they weren't concerned about that - probably tells you a story. Normally an OK place, it was a Friday afternoon and it felt like it had been a long week ........
I have often used this venue for business lunches, it is so well placed in the city and the staff are always very welcoming and the service is second to none. The quality of the food is always of a very high standard, at lunch you can talk without shouting and I have also been there for evening drinks when the place has a lively evening crowd and a really friendly atmosphere.
We enjoyed the excellent special offer Chateaubriand at Harry’s Bar 2 on Friday evening. A generous portion of top quality steak cooked to our specification. A pleasant relaxed ambiance with friendly staff. A very good evening.
This is one of my favourite lunch spots, just around the corner from my office. The food is invariably good, seasonal and spot on. The wine list has some excellent value bottles on it. Service is friendly and professional. Definitely recommended.
I had a perfect veal chop and my sister had a gorgeous seabass lunch. Food was amazing, service was formal yet friendly and with Tastecard spectacular value. Can't recommend it highly enough.
This has become my new favourite. The food is absolutely amazing here. Michelin Chef star quality in terms of presentation and taste. Additionally their cocktails are top notch as well. If they were to change their name to Harrys Restaurant I could honestly see this place rivalling a lot of other local, more 'high quality' establishments. Upstairs only has a few tables which are quite intimate which can be a turn off; being seated so close to each other. Also the Bar is upstairs and even when not 'packed' it seems to amplify the noise on top of the contemporary chart music being played. However, for me the food does it and I will keep returning until I can eat no more.
First time at Harry's and will definitely return - excellent location and food/service - thank you
They've just introduced a new Spring menu, I had a perfect veal chop, my friends both had the pork and really enjoyed that too. Good food, well cooked.
As it has Bar in the name, I didn't expect much with the food although I had visited this venue for drinks and it has a classy elegant look to it. Had a 3 courser from the a la carte and was simply blown away. Each course was beautifully portioned and presented and to be honest was not far off the quality of cuisine experienced in many Michelin Star restaurants. Their cocktails are amazing and the service was frequent but not too intrusive. Like most restaurants like this, the drinks can easily push up the bill without noticing. I would put this in the same league if not slightly better than other local restaurants such as One Lombard Street, Restaurant Saucerelle and The Northcote. Really surprised and overly impressed, I would highly recommend my new favorite local in The City of London.
This is my favourite Harry's bar. It's modern and a chilled setting. Good menu choice and excellent cocktails. Staff were very helpful and attentive.
Whilst I may have gone to Harry's Bar for a business, lunch, I'd be more than happy to go there for any other occasion. The food was of an extremely high standard, the service outstanding and the venue had a very comfortable relaxed atmosphere.
If you like to get service then this is the place. You will not need to queue or get up to get a drink but you pay for it. Drinks are not cheap and the food is a snack of good quality. I would definitely recommend it if you want good quality evening
