Great place with fantastic Italian menu selection. Good consistency of food.
The management of Harry’s is the best! The restaurant managers are very on top of everything and lovely. The food is great, the service is great, this is one of the best restaurants in London!
I had vongole. When it arrived the waiter said there were empty shells as the vongole had separated into the sauce. This was not correct there were masses of empty shells and very few vongole, they were also incredibly tiny. The main content was linguine and tomatoes. I did say to the waiter that I had not seen such minute vongole. His reply was, had I ever been to Sardinia? Patronising and rude.
Not a lot not to like and so much better than the very similar Ivy chain
What a shame. We have been to Harry's many times, as a couple and as a family. Best flatbread in London. Tonight however, we dined there and all was good until we tried to pay by Open Table dining cheques. The perfectly pleasant waiter deferred to the manager, who refused the cheques and blamed Open Table for the situation. We explained that many restaurants state that they do not accept the cheques, but we had selected Harry's because we wanted to pay £40 not £110 on a Tuesday night. He indicated that they had no control over the site. We would have kept coming, but not now. What a shame.
Loved it and can't wait to go back. Bar staff deserve a particular shout out and create a good atmosphere
The food was visually enticing and equally mouthwatering. Everything we ordered exceeded expectations but our white chocolate desert that looked like a mushroom was something else!
The staff were brilliant and looked after us to just the right level!
Heerlijk gegeten vriendelijke bediening eten volgt elkaar wel snel op. Heel gezellig restaurant
Great atmosphere for friends get together or couples . Food is always very good and profiterole to die for .
Supervisor/ waiter made inappropriate and uncomfortable jokes to my mother in front of the family. Also had to ask to order at each stage as well as reminding staff for items which we had ordered. However good food and lovely ambience.
Totally inattentive server. Food was absolutely mediocre. Living off former prestige of prior Harry's Bar club.
Eating lunch on one’s own is not always fun but the staff here were so welcoming and accommodating. I ordered the salad of butter lettuce with Gorgonzola and tomatoes which was delicious (I would just recommend that the tomatoes not be refrigerated as they lose their flavor a little). My main course - a perfectly cooked piece of sea bass on a bed of finely sliced cooked courgette and topped with watercress was honestly one of the best fish dishes I have ever had! Would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.
Eating at Harry’s Bar in Marleybone is like walking into a private club where you feel appreciated for being there.
We arrived half an hour earlier than our booking but we we welcomed by a lovely host who not only led us to a table but gave us a great spot. Service was excellent. Food is good, it’s basic Italian, nothing fancy but what they do is done well. Everything was hot, tasted fresh and nicely presented. Staff attentive but not overly so. Great fun food. Buzzy atmosphere. Would recommend for easy going, fun restaurant that would work for couples and families going out in the evening (maybe not very young children but day over 6 year olds)
Great as always!
Good food excellent service certainly going again
Had dinner on a Monday with an old friend. Service from Marnie (?) french waitress was exceptional. My friend was a vegetarian and she was able to make very helpful recommendations.
We loved it and will be back soon. Food was great.
A nice place for dinner along a restaurant row. Polite service, good food, relaxed and buzzy atmosphere. But what happened to the zucchini fritti? It used to be a big basket to be shared by the table. Now it is a tiny cone that serves only one...
A truly great Italian restaurant with fabulous food and service in a super Central London location.
The french waitress was very nice and helpful and the food very good!
Very expensive prices and small portions
This is one of my favourites and have always given Harry’s a top rating but my experience on this visit was very bad.
To provide some perspective, I used to go here a couple of times a week and it was always busy but on this occasion the place was deserted yet it took a lot of persuading to arrange a decent table! The food, drink and ambience was as good as usual but the management and front desk quality has dropped dramatically judging by this visit. Where has Matteo gone?? The problem was eventually rectified (with a load of fuss) but only when I was ready to walk out. I have generously given them three stars but judging by the number of customers they need to think again about their new management style as not too many will visit if they continue to treat people this badly.
Great friendly welcome, outside seating was good. Service for starters was good, squid was fresh and tender. main course took way too long I'm afraid, well over 35 mins. Even after saying we were in a rush the waitresses didn't see the urgency. Thankfully the manager took over and they arrived, but our friend had to leave 5 mins after the food. The manager cut the bill a lot to make up for it, which was easy to do, and rescued the review, well done to him. I would return for that reason only
I had the tagliatelli ragu bolognese which was very tasty but the portion was ok for me. I think it is not satisfying for a man. The deserts are yummy. Try the giandullia sandae
A real gem in an area of London often overlooked.
Good food and setting but slow service.
Lunch with family
Simply Great. You do get what you pay for here.
Utterly divine place and food!
The best seafood pasta I tasted in London, perfectly done !
The dessert was absolutely stunning and delicious.. if I could I would take it home for more :) !
The staff is amongst the best I have experienced anywhere; highly atentive and friendly, professional to perfection.
Love the environment and decoration!
I will always be back to this restaurant!
I like the venue food and welcome from the staff. But when we were seated in the outside area the host mentioned that no smoking was allowed- not an issue, none of us smoke, HOWEVER, there was a young woman sitting on the 'Harry's Bench' she wasn't eating or drinking just on her phone and smoking rollups. She was in situ when we sat down and still in the same place about an hour later- I have no idea if she was a customer, but why was smoking mentioned to us and she was allowed to sit smoking for over an hour? In addition when I politely asked her to move as I wanted a picture, she was very indignant- Surely the bench is for the benefit of customers who wish to record their visit and is very 'instagram' friendly. In my mind you need to have a consistent policy and the staff should deal with this, not customers! I was not the only person waiting to take a picture two other groups were waiting! I will be back, but hope by then the bar has a addressed this failing.
Great wine, very good traditional Harry’s meal and gentle service, apart from all the new rules on outside seating. No moving the chairs, no inside alcohol brought to outside table, no standing outside and smoking, no adding chairs and bla bla bla... “sorry our license does not permit this and that”....
I had a great late breakfast
Had a great time as always and was very well looked after by Francesco and the team.
Dining on your own when you’re away for business is not always a good experience! However, here, was a very positive evening meal. Senior waiter went out of his way to make me feel comfortable. Best ever! Not cheap but very welcoming and good food!
I had enjoyed eating at Harry's Bar before but on this occasion the service was very poor. We had to make repeated requests for the same thing and our son's pizza did not arrive until we had finished our main courses. Harry's bar did deduct the cost of the pizza from our bill but it did not make up for the fact that we had wanted to eat with each other rather than wait to eat one after the other other. I would still go back to see if the forgetful service was a one off as on other occasions it has been fine.
The place is nice and the staff attentive. I thought the food tasted boring and I have made better and had better for less.
Great meal and service!
Food was great. Service was a little slow which is typical in the UK
