Harvester - The Greyhound
My booking via the app hadn’t actually registered on the restaurant’s system, which was both disappointing and bemusing. Luckily, there was space in the place for us to just get a table at the door.
The food, as always, was very decent for the price (6/10) and the service was great. Our waitress was very friendly and provided brilliant care. However, the refill drinks machine was poor. Most of the options in it were flat at the time.
Overall, it’s a good restaurant: tasty food and a reliable experience, if a little unspectacular on the whole.
The evening did not start off well when we were told upon arrival that they had no record of our booking via the Opentable app; nonetheless, they were able to accommodate us.
The food itself (chicken) was typical of a Harvester - good but not exceptional. The service was good despite the fact that it was New Year’s Eve, and we did not have to wait long for food or to pay the bill. The atmosphere was just average for a Harvester.
We were seated quite quickly, our server Collette was brilliant, nothing too much trouble. We had a pleasant couple of hours celebrating my sons birthday. The new makeover has really lifted the place. One negative, not sufficient disabled ♿ parking bays. Overall excellent
