Harvester - The O2
Did not get a salad bowl until after our main course and my main course was cold.
Didn’t end up eating here in the end. Literally had no food in stock.
Would recommend booking beforehand as it's a very busy and popular place - reasonably priced but my food arrived cold. 3/5
Our first visit to the o2 harvester and it will be our last.. with two performances in one day I believe that the manager should have been aware of how busy it was likely to be. On arrival many people were being told that the online booking services were not available and the wait was 45 minutes.... we arrived at 5.30 for a 6.00 pm booking... we were told that there was no rotisserie chicken. No mushrooms or tomatoes... we ordered a two fish and chips and two salmon dinners.... no starters were ordered... we waited 50 minutes for our dinner which when it was served was so over cooked it was inedible. We made our waitress aware of how dissatisfied we were and she was very polite and professional and offered us a dessert.. unfortunately due to the length of time we had to wait for a main course we did not have time to eat a dessert as the show started promptly at 7.30.
The whole experience was a mess and I am so disappointed as it was a gift for my mum who was celebrating her 70th birthday. She is a diabetic and we chose the harvester out of all the eateries within the 02 as we thought it would be the safest option for her requirements..... it was really embarrassing for me and my husband. I would not recommend this venue for a pre show meal. The bar had run out of beer too.
Found it very strange that upon arrival we were told to wait for a table when there clearly was a number of tables laid and waiting to be used??
but saying the above the server was very quick in taking our order and we did not wait very long for the food to arrive,Which was piping hot.
would return when we are next there.
Not a professional restaurant when they call at 14.50 to advise that they've had a problem in their kitchen all day, waiting on an engineer since 11am and unable to guarantee your booking at 17.15! We booked the table as we were at the O2 arena to see Michael Buble. Thank god for Cafe Rouge!
Booked table ahead of event we were attending at the O2. Arrived to be told they didn’t have half of the menu .... chips being an essential item for most of the Harvester’s menu! Who runs out of chips!!?
When we return to the O2 I definitely wont be booking the Harvester again.
Had several items unavailable and the salad bar was not kept topped up. Had to wait about 15 minutes to get someone's attention to pay despite being very quiet. Otherwise good food and great value.
I was out a bit late so the only place I could book a table for Sunday lunch in the O2 arena at the C2C festival was at Harvester. My expectations were not particular high - so you can say I didn't really get disappointed but yes as expected there was nothing to rave about. Got presented with a long list of food that was not available as soon as we entered the door, the wine that was served was not cold and the food was pretty average - but as I said basically as expected.
Restaurant was fully booked, but had many empty tables that were assigned for specific groups, so we had to wait for our table because previous people were still eating. We could of taken any of the 20+spare tables and been out sooner...
They had run out of fountain soda and also had limited bottles of coke etc.
Starters came but. Using key sauce (as was out of stock). Mains were alright, but quality was not what I’d expect for the price.
Overall, disappointed. Staff did there best, but were clearly under pressure and not enough to support the large number of covers.
Great price for food at the O2 but it's not the cleanest Harvester. They had limited menu as had ran out of items including jacket potatoes. Good for groups and good price but that's about it.
Arrived at the venue and was glad i booked a table given there was a large queue outside, i was surprised however to see so many empty tables inside. Eventually went and found a waitress to come and take out drinks and food order. Asked if they had Apple Tango which she said they did on the refill - when my empty glass came i went to the filling station but no Apple Tango. I went to the ladies before hitting the salad bar and advised the waitress when i came out that there was no soap which she said she would get sorted. The salad bar had just been topped up which was lucky for us, no notes to say what each of the sauces were though so a bit of a guessing game. Our main meal was nice, standard Harvester meals. We each had a coffee (2 of us) and shared the one spoon that was provided, no saucers or anything. I went to the ladies again before leaving and guess what, still no soap. Horrible to think of all those people going to the salad bar and helping themselves after going to the toilets with no soap in - hygeine rating 0 i think! Again, we had to go and find a waitress to take our money so we could leave.
With all the other restaurants in the O2, i would definitely recommend trying somewhere else unless you really fancy the salad bar.
Disney on ice with grandchildren
Excellent service and food was lovely great atmosphere too
Arrived to find they had run out of most things (I do not eat meat), so I had to grab a sandwich from elsewhere (2nd visit to this Harvester within 3 days..they run out of some veg on the Sun and were serving tinned stuff!) Worst experience at a Harvester.
Nachos were a coagulation of cheese. Literally the full bowl of chips lifted out together.
Fried Chix sandwich was overfried so it was like eating fried dough sandwich. Horrible...
Pre o2 night out meal
Food average but did the job. Because of the venue it’s always difficult to pre book and get availability at other restaurants.
Only one we could get a table for without queuing for ages on arrival.
We were denied our reservation as we were 10 minutes late but according to the staff, it was 15 minutes late as their clock system is running 5 minutes ahead and thus our booking was automatically cancelled... Not impressed at all especially as staff wasn't accomodative to find an alternative.
Really busy evening, as there was an act on at O2/ Long queues outside, people being turned away. Staff were friendly, although rushed off their feet. Only comment was that the toilets were out of use, which wasn't ideal.
Great food ,"good price , good service , perfect for dinner before concert
Very good place to eat prior to any concert or event at O2. Strongly recommend booking in advance as can get very busy.
Sam Smith concert
Staff was very friendly, attentive and got us out quickly since we were headed to a concert. Food was average and a bit greasy.
Greeter took us to a table in the busiest part of the restaurant (despite half the room being empty) right by the salad bar and wedged between other families and then left us.
Table was sticky. Chairs were dirty.
Server came to take the order, grunted “drinks?” at us and that was it. We left.
I’m not expecting first class service from a Harvester but cleanliness and manners are a minimum.
Food not warm enough
Much better places to eat so avoid
Dined here before attending show in The O2 arena. Very busy early evening and I do wonder if having booked the table, would have made any difference when queues built up at the door.
The food was on a par with most Harvesters, as was the reasonably priced wine. Considering how busy they were, the service was good and our waitress was very friendly and attentive.
What lets the restaurant down is how close the tables are, even making it difficult to get to the salad bar or toilets without squeezing by other diners. Would never consider it for an intimate meal.
It is very convenient if you are attending an event at The O2 though, and would use again for such an occasion.
No problem with booking, had table for 2, was very tight for people to get past the table as very close to adjoining tables.
Service was good food was fine not hassled at the end of the meal to vacate the table.
Staff were friendly and obliging
I would use this restaurant again.
We had booked which was good as we didn't need to queue - we arrived at 1745 and were told food would take about 35 minutes. Our started took 60 and then the Maj came at 1900. It wasn't great, some of it was cold. By this time I was stressed as we were going to the concert at the o2 so the whole thing was spoiled. I complained and had to ask for a discount - I was offered 20% which wasn't enough. I was told that the delay was as we had starters however we watched people come in after us and be served. The manager never apologised which would have helped .
Went to The Harvester at the O2 in between sessions of the ATP Tennis Finals mainly because we were able to book a table in advance. We were seated very quickly and they took our order almost straight away. The food came quickly as well which was great as we were tight for time. Good food and good value for money.
Good food good service very welcoming and great atmosphere
Booked online before going to avoid queuing which was a good idea as everywhere in the o2 was rammed. Service was excellent and the food was lovely. Recommend for a bite to eat before any event at the o2.
Busy but still good service, salad bar was excellent. Overall great value for money.
Good value for money. Especially loved the free refill on soft drinks and salad bar to help yourself to. We had our salad as a starter before our main meal arrived but liked how this salad bar was in unlimited.
Above average on the usual Harvester but still exactly what we were expecting.
Love the salad bar main meal was generous and well cooked fantastic disabled access and bathroom would definitely recommend
Great service in a busy environment. Wouldn't have known it was so busy with a queu of people waiting to dine but we weren't rushed or made to feel uncomfortable. Well done
I am so so fed up with harvesters but this visit was awful. Run out of chicken, Carling and no syrup in the Pepsi machine. Had to ask to have my order taken and in the end had to leave as the show was about to start. Servers clearly didn't know what they were doing and we ended up buying a sandwich in the shop next door and eating it on a bench in the arena! People were eating and trying to pay, that's how awful it was. And it wasn't that busy and even if it was the staff should be trained for people to be in a hurry. I won't bother with a harvester again as always left disappointed.
Enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent. Very good value for money.
Enjoyable dining experience good value would cetainly visit again
