A Portuguese influenced sweet but very hot curry from Goa with onion, wine vinegar, garam masala and ghost chillies. Diner discretion is advised
Very tasty food, nice comfortable surroundings ,staff lovely .
Fab staff, fab food, fab night. Always our favourite, just love going there.
Excellent food. Loved the lamb biryani and the dal makhani. The tamarind dip with the papadums is to die for. My friend had the railroad lamb which I tried and was delicious. They made a very mild vegetarian curry for my wife which she loved.
Great service despite the restaurant being full on a Saturday night with plenty of take always being picked up.
Another great dining experience at Havali. Great choice of food and excellent quality and presentation.
Opted for set menu - Haveli sharing plate was disappointing ... dry chicken crumbling shish and over cooked bahji
Mains were ok but lacking depth of flavour ..
We were there to catch up with friends so tbh the food was not the focus but it really didn’t feel worth the £75 per couple price label!
Great mate date! Food was fab and the whole experience was faultless
Great food , great service attentive staff , pleasant atmosphere
the is the best Indian in the North East. The food is outstanding in quality and prep. It has new dishes and old favourites. All well balanced and spiced perfectly. The team are helpful and offer outstanding service. There's a wine list, gin menu and cocktail menu as well.
The food was a joy the service tip top and it’s well worth a visit
Food was massively over spiced. Dishes we have had there before as medium were almost impossible to eat and it ruined our experience and made the steep prices unacceptable.
Yet another great evening at this restaurant
The service and food were excellent there was a delay in bringing out our appetisers probably a 10 minute wait to long
But the staff were apologetic and at the end of the meal deducted 10% because of the wait which in truth had nor really been an issue
The food was everything it should be this was an Indian meal totally different from the norm and worth the wait
Haveli's really deserve their reputation for providing delicious meals. The service is friendly and efficient and we found the restaurant overall is an enjoyable way to spend an evening with friends.
All my gusts were impressed and enjoyed the evening. Thank you.
An enjoyable evening with good food and good friends.
Great atmosphere and attentive service. Good quality food at a reasonable price.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening nothing was too much trouble for the team.
I thought there was an excellent selection of meals on the menu. My party all enjoyed what they had ordered and the staff were helpful. The ambience was rather spoilt by the noise especially from the table next to us. At times they made it difficult to hear what the waiters were explaining when they brought the dishes.
I have eaten here several times over recent years and have never failed to be delighted. This time I brought family visiting from Australia who declared it the best meal they have had in the UK.
This was the first time we had been to this restaurant. Although the service was good and the food was very good, I thought it was quite expensive.
It is worth going for a special occasion but not as a regular event.
All very good (as always)BUT COULD hardly talk due to number of diners ie the noise
Disappointed with our meal. Service ok but staff didn’t seem that interested.
2nd visit in a week. Excellent food well prepared and nicely presented. If you haven't been then try it1
Beautiful place and great food too. Portion sizes weren’t too large like at most Indian restaurants and the service was spot on
Regular visitor and never disappointed by the high quality food and service.
Very authentic indian food, Dal makhani is a must to try. Quiet place with great staff to ensure you enjoy your evening.
Had the Valentine's day 5 course special with my wife and everything was perfect. Food was amazing and came out at just the right time for each course. Service was excellent and they were there if you needed them but gave us plenty of privacy.
The price was fair for the quality of food and the experience. We could not have had a better time and the free rose we received at the end of the meal was a lovely touch.
great room great food great service . even the muzak was ok !
A lovely evening with family at Haveli. It was the second time we have visited and wanted to take our family as we had been impressed on our first visit. It didn't disappoint. Fantastic food in a great atmosphere.
As always our meal was super, the staff were as ever very attentive and it's always good value for money. We have not had anything to complain about all the times we have been going and that's lots.
Absolutely excellent food, best Indian in the area
My first visit, having been recommended. Waiter was very helpful in making food choices and explaining ingredients, dishes, etc. Food was very good - great evening.
Simply Excellent in every way!! Every time we go the service, ambiance, food, value is sensational. Lovely place, fabulous staff and knock-out food! The Best!
Very good food, with healthy eating options, which is a great idea for any restaurant let alone an Indian. Too much to eat took a box home, 4 stars for value as it was just a little bit expensive but not too much. Would go again.
My wife and I went to Haveli to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant was busy without being crowded but the noise levels were low because of the design of the room and materials used. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was outstanding. I particularly liked the fact that the menu offered not only curry classics but also a good range of dishes created by the chef for this restaurant. A nice touch at the end was the gift of a pudding for me and my wife inscribed with “happy birthday” in chocolate sauce. We will, for sure, be back before my next birthday.
Haveli never fails to disappoint. Friendly, efficient service, delicious food, varied wine list and they now have a gin list. For the designated driver, mocktails.
We were a party of 6 and went early because the place was booked and by the time we left it was just about full.
The good thing about the restaurant itself is you don't feel crowded and also the noise level is low.
The menu has expanded to include street food and the "regular" curries. We did not try those and kept to what we have had before. I am not sure where they buy their king prawns but they are the size of small lobsters!
Put it this way, we are lucky to have this place so close.
Always amazing food and excellent service in nice surroundings. Food is superb.
Another excellent meal. Great service as usual. Not cheap but recommended
Great as always
As always had a magnificent meal, both food and service, would highly recommend this restaurant
