Was great, as usual, very good food, attentive staff.
Turned up to be told kitchen closed
Didn’t realise it’s part of a hotel. That being said, we gave it a go. Octopus salad was good but the spicey chicken wings were not spicey, in fact was bland. My steak was overcooked when I asked for medium rare. They did offer to take it back and get me another but for me- once you mess up a steak, I lose hope in the rest of the menu. Ordered some chips anyway. They tried to charge for the steak until we pointed it out. Over all- not very good. You get whay you pay for. It was quiet, which was an indicator!
Nevertheless- had a good catch up with a drink and some chips. Would not return.
Slow service as they were short staffed. Good location.
From the start we felt rushed , the waiter took our plate away before even asking if we had finished our starter and we had not !
The mains were awful my friend had a burger and the plate was dripping in grease and was not nice . I had a sirloin steak and the steak had a massive amount of gristle and the red wine jus was burnt and was so thick it didn’t come out of the pot .
The manager had come over half way to see how happy we were we told him what we felt and he didn’t offer any alternative.
The waiter again came over and tried to take the plates away without asking if we had finished again .
Then when we had said we were not happy with the main meals the manager wasn’t very helpful and said we needed to pay then when we said again we were not happy to do so then only offered a small discount.
The overall experience was poor and very disappointing especially as we haven’t been able to go out in so long and the menu was not the same menu as described on open table . Seemed much smaller .
It was not a cheap place the bill came to £97 for food that was not very nice . Not even offer a free drink for being upset . Customer service has most definitely left the building
Excellent service and food and cocktails
Lovely food and very friendly staff . Great heaters and was offered blankets too which was great . Had a cream tea here recently which was delicious.
An amazing night beautiful venue and food was stunning
Will return very soon!
food was so nice vibe could have been better due to the river being on the others side but service was amazing
Food and service was good.
We were greeted with a warm welcome and was shown to our table straight away, the waiter sat us down, however forgot to give us menus. We then ordered drinks to be told they ran out of the spirits which was a further wait, once ready to order we were then told all the pizza had ran out, appreciate it’s very busy, but would of been good if told when just sat down as over heard other people disappointed by this too. The food however was delicious! The waiting staff were polite and apologetic.
The atmosphere outside on the decking is lovely in the evening, really cute lights have been put up and the heaters are well placed and useful, however, I visited this restaurant maybe a year or two ago and had an amazing good quality meal and cocktails with my Mum and it really felt like we had gone for a posh meal at a fancy hotel, however, I went more recently and everything has changed except the price. The food was more like simple pub food you’d find in a Wetherspoons, which is fine if you’re not charging near £15 a plate ... cocktail prices were also outrageous at £10 a glass and were watery and you couldn’t even taste the alcohol.
It’s such a shame because this was one of my most recommended spots and now it feels like the whole restaurant has been replaced to cater to a different audience but is operating under the same name :(
Lovely presented food. Had heaters so wasn't too cold to enjoy outdoor dining. Better than expected!
Seated really quickly and with the heating was really pleasant. Food was amazing but drinks pricey
Great experience, simple choices, good value for money and good service in a quiet location even if we were outdoors.
The food and service was amazing! The only problem was that it was described as a ‘heated terrace’, yet the whole of the outside only had one heater.
Lovely food and staff. The heated terrace was so cosy and warm despite the cold weather
Service is good , and food is ok but cocktail are watery.
