The staff and food were amazing. The staff ensured my graduation meal was really special! Would absolutely recommend.
The staff were very attentive and had the right mix of paying attention whilst letting us get on with our business conversation!
Great advice on the menu and accompanying wine
Staff very attentive, but hard to know who they were as no ‘uniform’ - it did get very noisy, but the 20 somethings in the group didn’t mind this - maybe just me - 50 something :( (!!) - GOOD QUALITY, tasty food - THANK YOU
poor customer service - rude and pompous staff give the impression they’re doing you a favour by letting you through the door.
A wonderful birthday treat for my partner! All the staff were delighted, friendly but not on top of us! Neither did we feel rushed to leave! Perfect afternoon!
Went out to lunch with a friend, we both had a beef Sunday roast , food was great and the atmosphere was lovely.
Hawksmoor nailed it - fabulous roast with superb service - nothing pretentious just good people who care - thank you
Steak was amazing and perfectly cooked. Creamed spinach and dripping fries couldn’t be faulted. Good selection of wines - even the cheaper of the selection was great and our glasses were kept topped up. Was quite loud and dark but as we had a later table it got quieter which was better for group conversation.
Simply the best steak we’ve ever eaten in our lives! The waiter was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in recommending what steaks to have. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides to accompany were delicious! The sticky toffee pudding for desert was also the best I’ve ever had! All in all a meal of superlatives! Thank you!
One of the best meals and settings I have been. It was my girlfriends birthday and we were given a glass of bubbly and she got a dessert with happy birthday and a candle. All without my planning and free, so she was very happy. Best Steak I have ever had and we will be attending again for sure.
Steak-based magic.
Lovely fatty steaks, service and drinks are great
Still great but our waitress seemed to be covering too many tables so we didn't experience the level of service we're accustomed to at the Hawkesmore. Food was still great and the Irish Coffee never let's you down!
Excellent all round although quite pricey at 390£ with only 2 bottles of moderately priced wine....we did eat a lot though!
The service wasn’t as good as it should have been for what we paid. We kept having to ask for parts of our food that hadn’t come.
Booked for two colleagues and it is a firm favourite. Never fails
A fantastic fun evening with excellent food and service. Highly recommended.
The food was incredible - staff were very friendly and knowledgable. Service was quick but we didn’t feel rushed. A lovely night!
Food was excellent, but the drunken city sods at the other tables were aggressive and irritating, screaming at each other throughout the meal. Maybe keep the bar separate from the dining?
Everything very good but ambience and space does not give much room for privacy to have a quiet or intimate dining / conversation experience
Had a lovely meal here for my husband's 40th birthday. I would recommend coming for a special occasion.
Ended up being great night and meal.
Didn’t start off to well as we were sat/tabled next to, what turned out to be, a drunk, obnoxious and offensive customer and friend towards the hawksmoor staff. But staff at Hawksmoor were excellent, as when we approached them they could see our pain and re-tabled us somewhere else swiftly and were brilliant.
So overall my wife and I had great experience at Hawksmoor!
With excellent service, ambience and food, Hawksmoor is always first choice for a long lunch.
I’ve been to Hawksmoor Manchester before, so I know the menu and I know what I like/what to expect. This was my first time at the Borough Market restaurant, and I wasn’t disappointed. However, it didn’t quite match up to the last two times I’ve dined at these restaurants. The bone marrow (which is to die for) didn’t come with onions like the previous times, but I wasn’t going to kick up a fuss about it. The rib eye was good, but not as great as it has been before, but steak is very rarely consistent in its flavour and texture, despite the cut and cooking being the same. My girlfriend got the sirloin cooked medium-well (sacrilege!), but it was actually delicious and juicy, possibly better than my mid-rare rib eye. The mac & cheese was good but a little underseasoned, could’ve done with a touch more seasoning. My girlfriend loved the cocktail (something with gin, rose water, white chocolate?), the fennel & pear salad was incredible, and the passion fruit sorbet was amazing. As usual, the service was on point and the server was tipped appropriately for her excellent service. It was pretty busy and really a little too hot and noisy, but it wasn’t unbearable. It’s an old building, but a bit of AC would’ve been nice. Overall still a good experience and would eat there again.
Just why you would expect. Quality service, outstanding selection of food and drinks, all in all an excellent culinary experience and one I shall be returning to.
Very nice food, service was great. Ordered a drink that I didn’t really like, waiter saw I hadn’t drunk any of it and took it off the bill, without me even asking!
We enjoyed the Sunday Roast at Hawksmoor. Quality food and great service.
Would have liked to option to have have my bred medium. Only option was well done or rare
Lovely restaurant, great food, great service. Went for a Sunday roast, which was excellent.
The only thing that let them down, was the amount of tables crammed into the space. You were sat inches from other diners & it was tricky to get around without bumping into people sat down. Even the staff get bumping into each other.
Overall a great restaurant, just perhaps not the best place to take someone that may need a bit of space to get around!
As always beautiful food, Michelle our waitress was incredible
Simple. Exceptional customer service, advice on wine and menu. Great food. Will come again
First time at the borough branch of Hawksmoor have eaten at other ones around London very nice interior and very good staff but my steak was covered in sea salt staff were great knocked it off our bill at once hopefully it was a one off because there steaks are normally wonderful have had a email from them already so good customer service
Fantastic food and drinks as always, very accommodating of gluten intolerance. Love Hawksmoor!
An additional person to our booked party of 5 initially was told they had no space but a little persistence on our part paid off. Within 5 minutes, we were sat on a table of 6 and our meat feast could begin! All of our steaks were incredible, the sides were delicious too and portions were more than adequate. Great advice on our wine selection, too. We’ll definitely be back for more soon...
Great food and great service. Beautiful evening to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Didn’t ask anything and they’re brought us dessert with a candle (and extra dessert).
Bit disappointed, first time I’ve been to a Hawksmoor and come away feeling like this. Let’s hope it was a one off!
Enjoyed a leisurely lunch with good food and attentive yet unobtrusive service
Tasty food and lovely time.
Perfection on a plate!
Never had a bad experience in any Hawksmoor.
