Dining for 1 is never thrilling. This time I was made to feel welcomed. Each course was superb and I left very happy.
I had scallops, T-Bone and marrow, and rhubarb pavlova accompanied by a Martini, white wine, dessert wine and double espresso.
I will definitely be back when I return from South Africa.
First time but will certainly be back. Service was fantastic and food quality was wonderful.
Excellent food and service
Great restaurant with attentive and helpful staff.
We had rib eye steaks cooked differently and both were juicy and delicious.
The staff were also very good with the children
Busy night but we were taken care of, really well. Great food. - all three courses. Drouhin’s Oregon Pinot Noir was fabulous too.
Another fantastic keal at Hawksmoor thanks, we were well looked after by Philippe, and the food was excellent. My guests had not been before, and they really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the cook’s room in March.
Great steak, good atmosphere
It's Hawksmoor, the home of great steak. An extensive selection of cuts perfectly cooked. The beef dripping fries were to die for!
We enjoyed our dinner of porterhouse steak - large one! And roast with the fixings. Great atmosphere and drinks. Would definitely dine here again when in London.
This is our go-to place when we have visitors from America - there’s great food, atmosphere, an extensive wine list with great bubbles!
The Sunday roast was delicious and plentiful so was the service and the champagne. The restaurant was a little loud with a very unhappy 2-year old screaming for quite a while. Great effort on part of one of the waitresses to try and help.
All in all a great experience as always.
The Sunday roast beef was amazing! Good selection of desserts too. Will definitely return
I went for the roast chicken (my table all ordered beef) and it was lack lustre. Roast potatoes were a bit tough and the chicken wasn’t particularly tender or skin crispy. I always enjoy hawksmoor, so was slightly disappointed. I had lobster last time which was amazing. Hope for a better food experience next time
We went to Hawksmoor as we heard some really good review of their burger. We knew that they don’t serve until after 9:30pm so we booked a table at 9:00pm. At 9:30pm, we made our order, but they said the burger are sold out. We questioned the reason and they said they didn’t have any beef patties.
I don’t understand why they would have it on the menu if they are not prepared to make beef patties for the burger. It was also very late at night and we had nowhere to go but stay to have steaks that we weren’t too keen on.
Overall, it is a nice restaurant with good atmosphere, but it is just very disappointing cause we went twice at Hawksmoor and we still haven’t managed to try it.
The meat ever with great side dishes! Loved our dinner there, good staff that really knows what they are serving! Can’t wait to go back!
Fab atmosphere and amazing food.
Great service and lovely cocktails.
The set menu offer with a cocktail was fantastic value. The cocktail was very unusual involving tarragon cream soda. We chose the mackerel salad and potted beef for starters. The Yorkshire puddings, beef and onion gravy were awesome as usual. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the chips and greens were delicious. My friend enjoyed a blood orange panacotta while I had another cocktail. We then moved to the bar to have a few more drinks as our table was needed but this was handled very respectfully so didn’t bother us at all. I prefer the decor in the Air Street restaurant but the food was just as good here.
Absolutely love it here. Can not beat it! The staff are incredible.
ABsolutely fantastic afternoon with amazing food and perfect service.
OK but no more. Five for lunch. The boys had steaks most of which were well cooked. Mine was mainly gristle so our waiter took it off the final bill after I complained without any trouble. Good service, average food.
Quality food and service in a lovely building. Recommended.
Fillet steak was beautiful and cooked perfectly, greens were nice, chips a little disappointing, too thin like french fries, steak sauces very tasty although I didn’t get the one I ordered. Hubby’s chocolate desert was lovely, mine which I think had peanut butter in it was horrible, it was refunded. The wine service was great. Ambience was perfect, cosy and modern interior. Staff very friendly. Would visit again.
Lovely food helpful, friendly but professional service
Fantastic food and service again from the guys at Hawksmoor Borough - we’ve been to all the London Hawksmoor restaurants and this one has to be our favourite of the lot!
Service was excellent. My colleagues steaks were only very slightly overdone but the waiter removed them from the bill without us asking, and the restaurant followed up with a voucher for another steak at our next visit.
Great place for the best steak, friendly attentive service
Several visits to Borough Hawksmoor, all have been good experiences the consistency of the food is our major reason for returning. Not a budget restaurant but quality justifies the expense. Service attentive and informative, good balance. Well done.
A little noisy but food was fantastic with set menu option available to us we enjoyed the night. Will definitely be back. Recommend.
Very expensive for an average steak, especially at the price. The decor is fine, but the soft lighting actually makes it virtually impossible to read the menu. Food was fine, but just at the price you expect a little more. Service was familiar and efficient...especially when it came to bringing the bill! Would not bother going back there again for own account. You'd be better off buying excellent steak from your local butcher and pocketing the £100/head difference...
I have to say that I thought the waitress was exceptional!
Another fantastic Hawksmoor experience. The Sunday lunch is delicious. Best Yorkshire puffs in the world, and roast potatoes that come a close 2nd to my own! Love everything about the place!
Super Sunday lunch with the family - great way to get over Veganuary!!
Absolutely wonderful as always. Great atmosphere, the noise level was just right to enjoy a 3 course meal with a group friends. Our Waitress was very attentive and engaging. I had the goats curd to start, Hake and cockles for my main and the sticky toffee sundae for pudding and is was all delicious!
The service was particularly good!
A great experience. It was busy but not crowded and staff were incredibly attentive without being in your face. The steak was superb, the best I have eaten and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for, seriously, believe the hype!
Superb food, service and atmosphere.
Would highly recommend and pay another visit without doubt.
Food was great. Did corkage they were helpful and professional. Top notch.
As always, fantastic food and a lovely experience.
Felt comfortable as we entered the restaurant and that set the tone for the evening. A friendly greeting awaited, our coats were taken and we were shown to our table. The place was pretty full with a lively atmosphere. It has that cleaned up warehouse sort of decor which I personally like.
The waiters were friendly and attentive. All the dishes we had were delicious, the starters and particularly the steaks, in my case with triple cooked chips which I would recommend. We didn’t have room for sweets but they looked pretty good what we saw.
Definitely recommend this place, I hope to return at some point.
Nice but noisy and they push you out to turn tables, so not relaxing
