Excellent dinner and overall experience from start to finish. Service was perfectly pitched between professional and attentive, yet understated in the best possible way.
Fantastic service, even when the restaurant was busy on a Sunday
Drinks where served fast, sides came out exactly same time as mains
Wine was a delight
First time here, wanted to treat the missus and it did not dissappoint at all. Service n food were incredible. Loved it
Without any doubt the best Sunday roast in London - on top of the excellent food, I am impressed by the young, energised, kind and incredible staff, they truly make an effort to make your dinning experience unique! 100% would recommend!
We had a wonderful meal including my Sunday Roast with beef and all the fixings. My wife and daughter both had delicious vegetarian food which included Spelt. The atmosphere was very nice and the service was over the top. Looking for good meat which can include bone marrow this is the place for you
Right up there with the best steaks we have ever had. The sides were all good - recommend the cheesy Tunworth mash. Service attentive but with a relaxed feel. The restaurant has a buzzy atmosphere and is quite smart but not at all formal.
Initially given a table that was impacted by a cold draft, mentioned this to our waiter who instantly found another table for us with no fuss..
Food was amazing, as per usual!
Can highly recommend.
The food was superb and the staff fantastic. It was so good we went back the next day and are planning a further return visit at the end of February
The Hawksmoor is amazing and never fails to impress. We had the chateaubriand which is just incredible. The staff are brilliant and helpful when needed.
Everything gets 5 stars because we love the Hawksmoor!
Yes, it’s not cheap, but the food costs what it does because it is excellent!
Attentive service, perfect steak!
In my opinion simply the best steakhouse in London.
The business model is so simple … source good food, cook it well, present it professionally and create an ambience which is d simple, laid back and welcoming.
There is nothing not to like about Hawksmoor,
I had an absolutely incredible meal - only thing I can critique is the service (forgetting to refill champagne etc). Nonetheless all waiters were lovely. Steak was lush!!
Wonderful service, food and atmosphere, as always 😊 Joe was attentive and happy to discuss any questions with us - nothing was too much trouble.
Catch up with a good friend - had the set meal and a bottle of Champagne both of which were good value. Everyone who served us from Maitre d to cloaks and bar to table was lovely. Service with the right balance of attentiveness and privacy. Thanks to all
It was great- really appreciated all the bits they did for my boyfriends birthday. All the staff knew but kept it lowkey!
Fantastic Sunday roast
Amazing food, brilliant staff and service, gorgeous cocktails!
I don’t normally spend tons of money on eating out but when I do places like this are a real treat. Couldn’t fault them on anything.
Went with a group of friends, had a great time. Staff were really helpful and service great. Food was excellent and can’t complain.
It was my partners and my first trip to Hawksmoor after being highly recommended to us. We were not disappointed everything from the warm welcome and taking of our jackets to the amazing food made for a very enjoyable and pleasant evening. Even after we finished our meal we never felt rush to leave like in other restaurants.
The food was awesome and the service was friendly and informative and they came across as sincere rare these days)
Range of food even for a vegetarian was good and in terms of price points you pay for quality and there was a special menu to with a meal offer.
Cocktail menu was great with and excellent rang offer cocktails with I alcohol for the designated drivers or those doing dry January.
Cant wait to go back!
ordered two fish dishes and they were very good. defo will go back.
We had the set menu including cocktail and were aiming to have all 3 courses. The first two courses were so tasty and filling we didnt get to dessert! Our waiter was very helpful and attentive. Will definitely go back to this branch.
Given two previous poor experiences at another Hawksmoor (resulting in free meal offers, not taken up) I was very pleasantly surprised by a very good meal and excellent service. Thank you, confidence restored in Hawksmoor
Nice and friendly staff. Really good meat and fish.
I will come back definitely.
Set menu interesting by the value quality/price !
A very good experience and great food and atmosphere.
Fabulous location in the heart of Borough Market, it’s the most stunning restaurant, great staff and l thoroughly enjoyed the Monkfish.
The food was perfectly cooked to specification, with just enough variety on the menu to give you choice without seeming overwhelming.
I'd highly recommend "splurging" on numberous sides, as we did not have a single dish we didn't want to order more of.
Having gone for our anniversary, we were pleasantly surprised that all staff were attentive, charming, and our server was kind enough to give us a Happy Anniversary gift.
We will continue to return to this fantastic establishment.
Food and service was incredible - all the staff were really helpful and attentive without being overbearing, and they added some lovely touches for my boyfriend's birthday!
We came for our anniversay for the Tbone steak and was amazing with the cheese cauliflower
Staff were great. Sides and dessert were great. Steaks were a bit more chewy than anticipated (cooked mid-rare) and not as good as other places we had been to recently.
Loved the menu choices. We all enjoyed our meal here. The staff were friendly and informative. They recommended to share a porterhouse steak between two people cooked to perfection.
Delicious Sunday roast. Good quality of the meat. Friendly service; we could change tables because of an irritating (construction) light in our eyes from outside. Really crowded place with different age categories. Lot of people that came here often. A bit too noisy and dark for a relaxed dinner, but it fits the purpose of this restaurant. A kind of in between a popular pub with cocktails and a new dining experience. Make a reservation! It’s worth it.
Had a very pleasant time at this restaurant. Service and food were both excellent.
A great roast dinner as always. I hate to say it but our food arrived so quickly after ordering, arriving before our drinks. To have that as my only fault is saying something but just felt a little rushed.
My only reservation about not giving this a full 5* review is that the waiter talked me out of the steak I really wanted. He didn't seem to think I would be able to handle a rather large steak. I wish I had gone with my gut instinct and just ordered it. The one I had was absolutely amazing though but not really what I had in my mind. Also, it was my birthday (which they knew about) and they delivered a birthday pudding and candle to the wrong table. It was only when I getting the bill I realised they'd given it to the table next to me instead and I foolishly though the lady at the next table had the same name as me and it was also her birthday!
Found the staff and waiter to be very help and accommodating.
The food was all very tasty, steaks had been well rested, sides were a little conservative so we needed at least two portions of chips per person.
Overall a good evening.
We turned up with one extra and they accommodated us no problem the food and service excellent
Scallops tasty, more than I’d like to pay for 3 scallops though
When you are paying £36 for a steak and then another £15 for sides i expect it to be spot on.
The bearnaise saice was served cold and whilst there is no rule on if hot or cold i asked for it to hot. Sent it back it came cold again.
Asked for some english mustard and waitrd while my lunch got cold, it didnt show up so got eating and it showed up at the end of the meal.
Pretty s h it experiance for £170 and i would suggest giving this once good chain a miss now it seems to have lost the plot.
