A good experience and decent quality steak. First class chips and cracking puddings too. Good location and attentive staff

tad on the pricey side, but very worth it. Staff attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Cocktails are delicious and the wine is excellent. We went for a t-bone steak, and were pre-warned that it would take a while to cook which you couldn't fault. Steak was very good, with a great selection of sides available

Hawksmoor is one of my favourite restaurants, but I hadn’t been to the Borough venue before. Wow. It did not disappoint. The ambiance was so buzzy and warm, I felt happy just being there. Then the food came and I was even happier. Staff lovely. Portuguese rose wine delicious.

Lovely meal but after ordering after dinner drinks we
we’re told we had to leave as they needed the table . Had been sat for a 1.5 hours and usually we get 2 hours for a sitting . Felt like we were shooed out the building . But hawksmoor is excellent food .

Great food, Sunday lunch was great value. Only reason it wasn’t a 5 is because they have very few reasonably priced wines.

Great service. We arrived slightly late and needed to be at the theatre. Staff cleared plates immediately we had finished each course.

Lovely food, nice dining room, & doesn’t seem to have suffered from outrageous price hikes like some other decent restaurants.

Potted Beef and bacon appetizer not very appetizing. The Yorkshire puds were WAY overdone and should NEVER have left the kitchen in a high class restaurant such as this. It was a birthday celebration so we did not want to spoil it by making a fuss.

The smoked mackerel appetizer was on the other hand divine, as was the Devon crab. The steaks were also excellent and the cheesecake was perfection.

£1 donation to some charity appeared on the bill - PLEASE do NOT do this. I do not want to be chicaned into donating other than through my own free will and again do not want to have to make a fuss about it and have it removed from the bill before paying which then makes me look small and is embarrassing in front of my guests.
Put a jar on the reception counter that people can top up if they wish.

Otherwise very good a side from the absurdly over-priced wines but that is endemic in the restaurant trade these days as owners seek to claw back Covid-related lost revenue. But still - reward us for patronising the restaurant in the first place by keeping the drinks prices reasonable rather than stratospheric.

Had heard a lot about the restaurant but was disappointed. It was poor value for money; food was fine, small portions but very pricey. I felt I was paying more for the location, reputation etc.

I felt a bit up-sold on the wine and the half lobster each came in a £60 which seemed a little steep. We thought it was going to be <£30.

Food is always great but preferred the Seven Dials restaurant.
