Great space and great food . Steak was spot on and the mac cheese was perfect .
Excellent service, exceptional food especially the Vietnam Oysters and the desserts. The aged beef was real good though I found it on the expensive side.
The food was excellent but what really stood out was the level of service provided by our waiter Phil, he went out of his way to make us feel very welcome.
Food was absolutely delicious, service was fantastic and included a free cocktail as I was celebrating a new job. Couldn’t recommend enough!
Fab afternoon with excellent food
Amazing venue but sadly was sat together in a crowded side room which the restaurant appeared to want to fill first, prior to sitting people in the more impressive main room.
Food was tasty but overall think the sides/sauces are overpriced.
Friendly and attentive staff.
The bars in the same building - two fun cocktail bars - mad for a fun pre-dinner drink location
Overall a pleasant experience but I think over priced
A lovely restaurant, we enjoyed some very delicious steaks (fillet and rib-eye), excellently cooked as well as some lovely triple-cooked chips and creamed spinach. The drinks were excellent to match. Lovely ambiance, and the service was relaxed, attentive and friendly.
The service was great but the food was fairly expensive and the steaks came out blue when asked for medium rare. Cocktails were excellent and the quality was good.
From the moment you enter, you are made to feel welcome. The food is glorious. THe staff are attentive and very knowledgeable on the food on offer.
Our waitress was Daniella, and she made us feel so comfortable.
Probably one of the best steaks that I have ever eaten xx
Amazing food and great service - had a lovely waitress and an overall great experience
Definitely be back, only downfall was the service. Food was amazing!!
A bit haphazard, they hadn’t noticed our reservation and so were told to get a drink and wait at the bar. Only a few minutes wait. Miscommunication between kitchen and servers created a few odd moments. Several menu items unavailable. Over salted fries made them inedible. Warm, comfortable and friendly though.
Had a lovely time in Hawksmoor. Best scampi ever
Food and service were fabulous just not the romantic evening we had hoped for with large noisy groups all around us
Great food, service and venue. Would 100% recommend.
Bone marrow starter followed by very tasty ribeye and triple cooked chips
Probably some of the best food I have ever eaten,
The scampi scatter (deliciously light batter), the steak was amazing even the chips where just perfect.
We all had the early diner Express menu, which was a good choice of three different items for all three courses and was £25 or £22 for 2 courses. It was really good and a well picked menu to choose from. I would say it was excellent value for a top end restaurant. We are definitely going back. Would get expensive for a family of four on the main menu is my only reservation, but probably not any more than a comparable establishment.
First experience of Hawksmoor following a recommendation. Great steak house - but you get what you pay for.
Staff is lovely, food is very nice but the side dishes are far too expensive. How can you charge £5 for a bowl of spinach, it’s very expensive.
My boys had a steaks and they were very happy with them. I had a halibut and it was dry.
We were a bit disappointed that we had to search for staff to add some more food.
I was looking forward to the dinner as i love steak and assumed that this would be really good. Unfortunately, the steak was overcooked even though I had asked for it rare. The starter, mackeral salad, was lovely.
This was not our 1st visit to Hawksmoor and it was excellent as we expected but you do need to be prepared to pay for it.
An extraordinary experience, we never wanted the evening to end
Beautiful building, superb service and fabulous food. Couldn’t have asked for more
Can't fault it. Stunning as always. Great food, great wine.
We had a lovely time, the cocktails were incredibly tasty, the rump steak was delicious. One of our sides came out 2 mins after the rest as the chef remade it as he thought it was burnt, therefore we weren’t charged for it! Great service and staff.
Fabulous..... every time! Never disappoints! Great cocktails
Food was amazing as always, though didn’t seem to be enough staff on, was waiting 15 minutes to order wine... which didn’t arrive until after we’d finished our mains.
Wonderful evening and great atmosphere. The food was lovely and the waitress was very helpful in guiding portion sizes. My only criticism would be our table. We were seated on a table where the staff were constantly having to squeeze past my husband to serve the other tables. There were too many tables crammed in one area. If he was a larger man he would have had to get up to let them through which really is not what you expect in a lovely restaurant.
Steaks cooked to perfection. Amazing seafood. Lovely staff. Would definitely recommend.
Superb supper, great atmosphere, fantastic steak
Fantastic architecture great location
Hawksmoor always delivers and this pre-theatre menu was no exception.
Stuunin location good food & friendly staff would recomend & dine there again.
I don’t feel £104 pp was reflected in the value of food and the venue. Service was very good shame that’s twice and mind hasn’t changed
Great food great service, very impressed. Personally can't afford to eat there without the code app discount, but it is definitely worth it.
Been to a few Hawksmoor restaurants in London but this was the first Sunday lunch and it was excellent and the Yorkshire Pud was as tasty as it was massive!. Lovely dining room in a former bank hall. Recommended.
Great food, great and friendly service. The place is quite posh but casual at the same time. Loved it!
This was my first visit to Hawksmoor Edinburgh.
The food was absolutely incredible. We paid £35 for the 3 course menu with cocktail and ordered a bottle of wine separately. Only downside was I couldn’t put our staff tip on card and I was mortified I didn’t have a lot of change to tip as the staff were great.
We were in the restaurant for over 4 hours which was crazy but enjoyed every second. The ambience was so relaxed and we left very merry.
Great food, cocktails and service .. what’s not to like .
Lovely meal as usual. Good choices on menu and very good service around allergies.
