    Everything was really good until I’ve ordered summer ratatouille. In the menu it has “pepper” in ingredients, I never thought its actually spicy pepper! I thought I’m gonna die 😅 They should warn people about food that is THAT spicy. Also because of that I asked for a cup of milk, my mouth was burning, luckily they had milk and I was saved. But they counted that milk in the bill and didn’t even apologize for that unexpectedly spicy dish. That’s ok, but not the best experience 🤷🏻‍♀️ All other friends enjoyed their food very much, said it was super tasty.

    One of the best brunches I’ve ever had. I got the shrimp and grits and the portion was just right for 10am on Sunday along with the beignets and some of the delicious crunchy potatoes from my husbands plate with the fried green tomato BLT-which he loved with the pimento cheese. Can’t wait to try this place again!

    The bloody-Mary was crazy spicy. The food was over all not good potatoes over cooked eggs covered in oil and bisques under cooked. Out server was a =mazing but I'm going back

    Horrible service….our server rushed us out of there like we were in McDonald’s…ridiculous! Worst service I have had in years. $200 meal over in 45 minutes

    We had a great experience per usual at Haymaker. I got an Aperol Spritz and my boyfriend got an old fashioned and both were great. Then I started with the pork belly which is one of my favorite dishes of any place I’ve eaten, a great balance of flavor. And then my boyfriend had a burger and I had the pasta to eat. So amazing. We had some to take home and our food was great the next day as well!

    Cool ambiance and location. Service was slow except for one person. Food was ok. Not dissing, it is what it is. Again, location is on point, the other areas need to catch up.

    Loved the ambiance and decor. Service was great, loved our server. The food was ok. Nothing too exciting and the jalapeño biscuit was thick and dry. Went for brunch so I may try again for dinner before I decide it’s a restaurant I like or not.

    Its still a pretty cool place, however; it is completely overpriced!!! The menu is limited and they were out of a signature entree by 7p??? The chicken wings were excellent(but small-as was the pasta). Im not sure if we'd go back.

    Stopped at the bar beforehand for a very good cocktail. We were seated right at our reservation time. Menu is focused, but the food quality was outstanding. Great wine list too.

    We came in for a birthday brunch (2 people) at noon on Sunday and the hostess told us it would be an hour wait even though there were clearly open tables available. I went on OpenTable and saw there was a reservation at 12:15pm. I was annoyed, but i made the online reservation and showed it to the hostess and was sat immediately; so obviously there was availability, i don’t know why she would tell us the wait was an hour. Other than that the food was good even though we find a hair in our food and was not compensated for it. Might return, night not.

    The service was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was amazing and presentation was excellent. The bartender Quinten had awesome energy and the drinks were fantastic! We will definitely be returning.

    Why would a restaurant at this price point serve full-size, head-on, unpeeled nor prepped, Curry Shrimp to people wearing nicer clothes? My wife and I both got curry sauce on our shirts trying to peel these shrimp. Also, with the full shells on, they absorbed almost none of the curry taste. To add insult to injury, the toast-points served to soak of the curry was burnt and ruined the taste. Stay away until this place refines their very small menu to where it's eatable by the prospective clientele.

    Simply be because we arrived before the dinner rush, we were hurried along. A hair was found in our food and nothing was done about it. The response was to immediately rid our table of ALL plates before we were close to finishing our meal.

    The atmosphere was good as was the service. But, the food was horrific. They were out of several items, the cocktails were awful and poorly constructed. The biscuit for the chicken sandwich (while the breaded chicken thigh was decent) was bland and tough. The shrimp in the salad were turning and the vinaigrette lacked flavor and vibrancy. The beignets were average, but despite being marketed as containing bacon fat, tasted unremarkable. Like many of the restaurants in Charlotte, if this one is still around in another year, it'll be remarkable. Overall, Haymaker is forgettable, and not worth the expense.

    What a complete disaster. Service was awful. Food was sub-par at best. Our waitress, Caitlin, was one of the worst servers I've ever encountered. She could not have cared less about our experience. And, for an establishment that touts as their motto "heirloom ingredients, preservation, and sustainable meats and seafood lead the way to crafting our menus," the food left us both perplexed. The charcuterie was average, and the Steakhouse Burger was was devoid of flavor. If you're going to have six total entrees/large plates I would hope each would stand out as a paragon of that offering. I've had a better burger at Five Guys (and here I thought that the 5G burger was expensive). The mushroom toast was good, but not memorable. And, the one standout was the Benton's Old Fashioned. The bacon infused bourbon was outstanding. Overall, an extremely unacceptable experience, both from a culinary, service and value perspective. Do better, Haymaker.

    It took our waitress about 20 mins to acknowledge we were there. A hostess took our drink order and a manager brought them to us before our waitress ever came over. She maybe checked on us twice. I would understand if she seemed super busy and was apologetic but that wasn't the case. The food was good but not good enough to make up for the poor service.
