Had high hopes for this place, however management is lacking. Our server was spot on, however watching other staff walking around sipping their Starbucks coffees was extremely disappointing. The charcuterie? Most bizarre plate we’ve ever seen. Sandwiches were average. Serious management is truly needed or the establishment is doomed.

2nd time here was hoping for better outcome. Sat in bar area server took our drink order and received drinks in minutes. We were so excited since 1st visit it was 15 mins to get our drinks.,Than it fell apart from there, after waiting 20 mins, had to ask hostess if any server can take our food order. Place was not very busy many open tables all around. Eventually original server took our order. After waiting 45 mins asked our server if food is coming, he checked and said it would be another 15-20 mins and that kitchen was behind. We wished we had gotten that memo when we first sat down. We asked to cancel food order and check out a mgr came over and said food should be again only 15-20 mins more. We said no thank you she took one of the drinks off bill. Was hoping for a much needed great place to dine in the west valley that’s why we tried a 2nd time only to be a bigger fail than 1st visit. Find it hard to believe a business would invest in a building and completely fail in investing in proper training of staff to deliver in a timely manner or to at least be upfront with service delays. Since we want to support a cool concept restaurant to succeed in the west valley we will wait about two months and try again. We were not the only table that evening waiting patiently for food to appear on our tables. Hope management gets it together real soon.

Disappointed! We got there at 4:50 no service. At 5:01 they took ok our drink order and said it was too late for happy hour (not our actual server). To me that’s nonsense! Food expensive (salad w/chix $24) and was mostly lettuce. Our actual sever was great!

Mahi was over cooked and very dry. Rice was under cooked and was crunchy. They did take this off our bill which raised overall rating to 3 stars. Diet coke was in a can.

We were a party of 5. We ordered every “small plate” on the menu and they were all delicious. Favorites were the Korean BBQ buns, and the wings! Great job! We’ll definitely be back when we come to town again! Niko was a top notch server!

It was alright, definitely not what I was expecting. They were out of some food, didn’t have tea or lemonade to drink, had soda in cans (which was pretty cool). But not sure I would make this a regular stop unfortunately. Was really looking forward to more from them.

Our visit to this new restaurant with friends occurred only ten days after opening but our overall experience was pleasant and relaxing. While the restaurant and bar area indoors appeared comfortable, we wanted to enjoy the nice weather on the patio. The patio is very nice and spacious, but the roar of an overhead air circulator/fan between the indoor and outdoor dining areas was a noisy distraction. This was our only complaint of the evening. The wait staff was courteous, helpful in answering our questions, and prompt in meeting our needs. Our pastrami sandwiches and fries were hot from the kitchen and flavorful. The dinner size salads were quite substantial and tasty. We didn't order from the bar, but in general beer and wine prices appeared to be a bit high. Our two primary concerns for this eatery are overall prices/value and the distracting noise on the patio. We certainly will return, and hopefully the few new-opening bugs will be remedied.

I am very disappointed in the location that this “restaurant” is located at. In a shopping center next to a Frys grocery store!! Buckeye needs to do better at locations of these businesses. We expect the same here as the residents of Scottsdale or Tempe does with their locations of restaurants. The lack of alcohol that is carried is a little disappointing and the food was a little disappointing. I know it’s new and I hope it’s just a new biz working out the kinks.

Nikko was excellent taking care of six ladies. His knowledge on the food preparation, and cocktails was above any service we have in the area. A few minor kinks getting drinks from the bar but in due time that will be worked out. We will definitely be back. Welcome to the neighborhood!

First visit on their OPENING weekend. Have seen others post low ratings and you have to expect some growing pains when a place first opens. Give them a break! Did they have the full menu? No but the items the six people in our party had, we all agreed were very good. Drinks were great. Service was great. Will definitely go back and you should try! Thank you for coming to Verrado!!

We knew it was the opening weekend and the restaurant would be going through growing pains, but the restaurant is operating in the largest room in the world - the room for improvement. We ordered an appetizer (pretzel board) and it took nearly 1/2 hour to be delivered. Our waitress said the delay was they made everything from scratch (including the pretzels), but when it finally arrived the pretzels were not warm like they should have been if freshly made. While waiting for the appetizer, we ordered our entrees. Our waitress returned after about 10 minutes to inform us that they were out of both our orders (this was an 11:30AM reservation). We asked about a couple of other options and she went to get the manager. After finally ordering our entrees, it took quite awhile for them to be delivered. We finally received our meal @ 12:45PM. Rose’s entree was inedible and the French fires with my order were cold. Meanwhile, when the appetizer was delivered the server spilled several condiments on the floor. There they remained for over an hour while we finished our meal and several guest and servers walked through the mess. The waitress did as good as possible under difficult circumstances. The manager did comp Rose’s meal, but the entire experience was unsatisfactory and it will be quite awhile for us to venture back.

I hate to be so harsh, but we made a reservation and sat at the table for 20 minutes. My husband finally got up and asked a random server if we could get a drink and place our order. Once the waters were brought out, my glass was dirty. Our beers we ordered took another 15 minutes. Once the food came out, my burger was VERY undercooked to where it was bleeding when I cut into it, fries were cold and soggy, they were out of ranch and their chipotle ranch on day 2 of service. My husband got the Ruben. Bread was soft and not toasted with hardly any dressing which made it dry. The salad was delicious though. Our server was sweet and said she was very sorry as she knew I asked for a well done burger. She brought out a new one and it tasted as if it was boiled. Just very soggy. As a former server and a caterer of 17 years, I know theses are simple fixes and it can be done. Maybe with some time, it will eventually come together, but for now, I was disappointed that my bill was a wopping $80! Maybe a soft opening with half off pricing would have been a better idea to get up to speed?

Very chaotic. Was not even able to get a table with our reservation. Based on our seats at the bar, and the hour we sat there and we were only able to get a water and one drink that wasn’t even filled to the top of the glass, I would recommend focusing two bartenders on just the bar also don’t put dirty glasses at the same spot you are putting drinks out. The flow of the restaurant was done very poorly. I feel terrible but I know I’m not the first to feel and or witness this. For an “opening weekend” you should be out of food/drinks.

I recently dined at The Craftsman Restaurant, and my experience was a mix of highs and lows. The standout feature of my visit was the excellent service provided by the staff. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, and the attentive and friendly service continued throughout my meal. However, I was a bit disappointed with the limited availability of menu items. Unfortunately, several options were unavailable, which was a letdown. I understand that ingredient availability can vary, but it was a notable inconvenience. The atmosphere, while not extraordinary, was decent. The restaurant had a comfortable ambiance, but it didn't particularly stand out compared to other dining establishments. In summary, The Craftsman offers a pleasant dining experience with top-notch service. I would have enjoyed it even more if there had been a wider selection of menu items. Despite this, the overall atmosphere was comfortable, making it a reasonable choice for a casual meal.

This was the second day the restaurant has been open. This is their fourth store operating in the Phoenix area. A hard reset is in order. Bar service was poor. Overall service was mediocre. Waited 16 minutes for three of four drinks to arrive. Two vodka tonics with no lime. The vodka martini was yellow in color and tasted very sweet. Olives were requested, but were told “sorry we are out of olives”. The drink was returned and taken off our bill. The fourth drink (an old fashion) arrived about five minutes later, making it awkward to do a timely toast. There was no cherry or orange slice in the drink. However, the taste was very good. After requesting fish and chips for our entrees, we were then told they were out of that item. Very surprising for a restaurant on opening weekend to be this unprepared. BTW, Fry’s grocery store is next door to this restaurant. They have olives, cherries, oranges and white fish. They had dozens of employees briskly walking around. Mostly empty handed returning to the kitchen. Tables were bussed taking only a few dishes or glasses at a time. Tables were wiped with the same towel that was retrieved from the floor. They are clearly not ready for their customers.
