Old-world charm, culinary innovation, and hyper-local produce...The Healesville Hotel in the heart of the Yarra Valley is always in tune with the seasons, making it a year-round fave for locals and tourists on the winery trail. Beyond the Edwardian building itself, the restaurant is a stunner when it comes to rustic and honest cooking.
While there’s traditional pub fare on offer in addition to some fancier dishes like roasted wandin quail and slow roasted berkshire pork. The menu rotates weekly, though you can count on just-plucked-from-the-garden herbs and produce making an appearance. Treat yourself to a hospitable and heavenly lunch or dinner at Healesville Hotel, it will be a dining experience to remember.

We had a beautiful meal at the Healesville hotel last night, food was amazing and really friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful ambience and nice and warm on a winters night. We will be back again soon.
My wife and I have been here a few times over the years. Food is consistently excellent. Very happy!
The food was delicious, however thought the menu selection was rather limited, one of my group was looking forward to having a nice steak !
We were overcharged $13 for our bottle of wine, am sure this was a genuine error made by your staff, nevertheless these errors shouldn’t really occur.
Overall a great night with a beautifully decorated space.
Delicious food with very good choices. Very attentive friendly staff and pleasant warm atmosphere
A lovely lunch in this wonderful old dining room. Not busy, so quiet. Very attentive staff. Interesting menu, but very expensive oysters and light on vegetables with main courses.
Beautiful produce treated with respect and presented amazingly with portion sizes and value that made this meal a more than memorable meal.
Incredible ambience, attentive staff plus a menu that’s smart and not trying to be too many things.
Smart ideas, great skills on show here a MUST visit if your in the area.
We will most DEFINITELY return and share again their hospitality abilities
We had a lovely leisurely Sunday afternoon lunch at Healesville Hotel. It is our 2nd visit and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food & wine was great too.
Lovely meal touch on small side otherwise we’d go again
My husband and I had the Beef Brisket and the Braised Lamb Shoulder for mains. The food was divine and just the right portion. The desserts were as equally scrummy! Service was great. Would come again.
Pleasant surrounds... not too busy ..the staff were very friendly and helpful
The whole experience was excellent and we will do it again soon.
Lovely!! Nice, quite and warm. Food and wine delicious.
The set menu was of great quality. We enjoyed it thoroughly and thought the cost was reasonable for the calibre of the food. Would not hesitate to recommend.
A beautiful room with lovely food and attentive staff.
A wonderful lunch. The set menu offered excellent value for money and the food was outstanding. We choose local wines by the glass. Staff were attentive and helpful. A memorable experience.
Healesville Hotel is a very well remembered spot for special occasions. The dining room staff are prompt and attentive, without being intrusive. Food is of a very high standard. I enjoyed succulent slow cooked lamb shoulder and my dining partner was very pleased with the Barramundi. She commentd very favourably on her Creme Brulee as well. The small range of wines by the glass suited our meals well and there is a larger wine list as well - comprehensive without being intimidating!
Beautiful lunch, delicious food and great service. Highly recommend!
Really beautiful old hotel and great food. The only downside was having to wait a very long time for our first drink while staff talked to each other instead - it wasn't busy. But, the staff that night were young so can't fault them too much, friendly and helpful otherwise.
A beautiful almost fine dining setting! Service was lovely... wine & beers good.
Food was tasty but menu was very small with the regular ‘pub grub’ items particularly as main course, which we found quite surprising - given the setting. A lovely hotel with great staff!
Very good quality food even on the limited menu. Excellent value.
Really tasty limited menu and great service from attentive and friendly wait staff.
Great place, holds a special place in our hearts. Food was very good indeed, brisket melted in the mouth! Service was a perfect mix of friendly and helpful but not too over attentive. Great to be out of the suburbs.
Lovely pub.....and great place to catch up with friends.
Nice lunch, delicious braised lamb and crab and coconut salad. Good service. The only negative was a very noisy group of women diners who screeched and ruined the ambience for us and the other tables. We couldn’t get out fast enough but will definitely go back!
A nice day to travel to the hotel
Indoor ambience was a bit flat
Fixed menu was disappointing and overpriced
Loved it! Food was amazing and the set menu was well priced. Good wine selection. Staff appeared a bit inexperienced, but enthusiastic and helpful
Excellent food in a pleasant dining atmosphere and friendly efficient staff.
Missed the oysters
And a drink
But was a busy night w little staff
We have eaten here before so it was lovely to get back. Shame it was so quiet as it did not make for an interesting ambience. The set lunch menu was okay but would prefer the option of an a la carte menu but understand why restaurants do this. The salmon was lovely but the radish salad was not that enjoyable. My husband had the lamb & it was delicious. The desserts were also delicious. Staff helpful & friendly.
Very tasty thoughtful food with lovely staff and a delightful dining room.
Food was really good however the cheese platter was very disappointing. 2 very small (and tasteless) pieces of cheese with bread, jelly and 6 dried grapes for $24. Not value for money
Wonderful historic hotel decor greeted us as soon as we entered.
We were seated and the set menu was explained.
The meal was relaxed and the drink waiter only approached when our glasses were empty. Nice.
All courses were delicious. Slow cooked lamb was so moist. Dessert my favourite.
The burgers were inedible, they said they were trying a new meat supplier. We did get refunds and the service was great.
Good food in a nice relaxed, Covid safe setting- thanks guys
A 3-course set menu and no a la carte, all of them are quite basic
Food was lovely but only a set menu. Given no prior warning so had to pay a fairly heft price for a 8-year old to celebrate her mother's birthday.
We had a wonderful lunch here over the weekend. The food was utterly delicious, had the 2-course lunch at $55 which felt like real value for money based on the quality of the ingredients. The waitstaff were professional and warm and very much contributed to making our meal most enjoyable. Looking forward to returning soon.
It's as if Covid19 never happened. Everything up to the usual great standard.
Our restaurant of choice on easing of restrictions to 20 people .
Very well organised for all the new rules and regulations they have to adhere too certainly much planning behind this so very impressed.
Although it was only a small set menu it got the taste buds dancing . Well done chef !
The duck was perfection plus not to mention the dessert with chocolate sauce .
Our waitresses were friendly and helpful .
Overall success 10/10
Great staff, lovely open fire place and delicious food. Very pleasant lunch.
