The two course deal was reasonable value, food average not memorable. Wine excessive at £55 for the cheapest SB on the menu which was nothing special. Far too noisy, but staff were attentive and willing but it always worries me when beef is alleged fresh but I'm told it's against the law to serve it rare. The implication is hygiene issues.

Average food. Nothing particularly interesting on the menu. 45 min wait for Beef Wellington which was also average. Ambiance so so. Can easily give this a miss. Much better options in London.

I was really disappointed with this restaurant. we had to wait about 20mins for our pre-booked table, and when I went over to ask when will we be seated, they said ‘oo, we forgot about you’. Then, our food was cold when it eventually arrived so had to send it back, which took a long time to return.

We were seated fast and hoped it to be a good night. Unfortunately, the waitress sat us in a corner near an old doorway entrance which sectioned us off from the whole restaurant and was very drafty. The waiters also use that space as a walk way to enter the main restaurant seating area where all the booths were so there was constantly people waking past our table.
Staff seemed to be in a rush to get orders and barely took notice to refill our drinks.
Food was mediocre. Expected more from a celebrity chef restaurant. The chicken wings were tasty, burger was nothing to brag about and the duck leg confit was salty and slightly dry. We ordered from the Love January menu and I’m glad we did, I would not pay full price for the food. The attitude from the staff when and after we asked to order from that menu wasn’t nice - made us feel silly for even asking. Don’t offer a deal and get frustrated when people come for it.
Overall, we had high hopes but were disappointed. Sadly won’t return.

I went to Heddon Street to celebrate a birthday - we were a group of 7 and we had the free-flowing prosecco lunch offer. The service was really exceptional, they were very generous with refilling our glasses and even extended our stay at the table and continued to serve us. We had one issue with our food which was resolved quickly and the manager came to apologise - we were very happy with the whole experience. I would definitely recommend.

We booked the set menu offer for a late lunch. Overall everyone was very pleasant and friendly with the exception of the young lady who "greeted" us who was bordering on rude. I smiled and explained we had a booking but her response was curt and unfriendly to say the least. We weren't handed the offer menu initially but it was provided upon request. The food was good quaility and the service and value for money was excellent. It was pretty noisy but then it is more of a casual style restaurant and it was a Saturday. We would probably return but I hope the attitude of the blonde lady on reception was just a bad day blip.

The January deal is very good value but the staff are clearly sick of it and that told in the presentation and overall service. Usual Ramsey experience, good quality food but when you’ve added wine, pre-dinner drinks and coffee into the bill it’s still an expensive night.

We opted for a bit of January madness and had the 2 course for 2 for £30 deal. The food was of good quality for sure and the price I would say did fit, however do not expect large portions. If you are really hungry then go for a different menu or have the burger. The staff were great and very knowledgeable, we were really happy with the advice we received on the wine we ordered. The cocktails were fabulous, we will visit again. Other note, apparently Ziggy Stardust had pictures there but I could not see any sign of this in the restaurant!

The restaurant was great. Loved the decor and the vibe. The food really let it down. Seemed cheaper than most restaurants we visit in town so thought great but the price reflected the portion sizes so you just got a tiny meal. I paid £20 (still not a total bargain) for 6 ravioli which were ‘warm’ and def not up to scratch in my opinion. Dessert was a TINY ramikin of some sort of cheesecake thing which was absolutely tasteless and cost £5. Just felt a bit like they were taking the mick. Just being honest. I normally only like to give good reviews.

We had the January set menu, which turned out to be good value for money. Portions are large and food is good so it's definitely an option if your budget is tight.
We got seated upstairs which was quieter than downstairs and better for talking.
Service was very good and professional.

Went for dinner with the "Love January" option (2 courses £15, and an additional £5 for another course) and I'm very happy we did, the food was really really good, and despite the set menu is smaller than the a la carte one (which is normal and fair of course) there's still a few different options to choose from. The staff took care of us very well too, overall a pleasant night and would definitely go back.

Food was really salty both duck confit and mash potato surprisingly because we used to have such great experience here. We had the love January deal but the food wasn’t great. Tbh the deal was worth the money but I feel like the food was not up to their normal standards. Cocktail and dessert was good.

Service was good, but we were seated next to the back kitchen which was not very pleasant as many people were walking up and down. The food presentation was not the best (to be honest it was messy). Well, it’s only 15pounds for 2 course meal so I guess we shouldn’t expect much.

It was my second time at The Heddon Street kitchen.
I was there with my brother. The food was delicious, unfortunately the service was not what I was expecting, as the first time I was there it was great. We ordered the beef wellington and nobody came and check if everything was 'ok' until the very end. The waitress was not very welcoming and friendly, and again I was expecting a better treatment considering the previous experience I had!

Nice restaurant - the food was good but not great. For a celebrity chef restaurant - I wanted it to be outstanding. I got the Sunday Roast special and my wife got the chicken dish. We just wanted it to be special - and it was just ok. Sorry Gordon.

It was 5 of us and we all ordered steaks. Only two people were satisfied with their meal.
I can honestly say, my steak was the worst piece of meat I have ever had. It was dry, burnt and tasteless.
Was left on the plate and no one even asked if everything was ok.
The food was mixed up as well, with getting on the table what we didn’t order.
The starter, which was potted beef was very tasty tho.
In overall disappointing, been to many of his restaurants, and never experienced such a poor food quality or service.

A nice, vibrant venue. We ate off the Love January menu. The food was very well presented, but for the most part tasted very bland. The mushroom flatbread starter was like eating dry soil, and the baby gem lettuce served with the duck leg was decidedly uninteresting. The chips were more like roast potatoes and, at £5 per portion were very overpriced, as were all the side dishes. From a starting point of £20 each for three courses, with a £26 bottle of wine, two sides and two coffees, we ended up with a bill for two people of £98 (including service) for a very mediocre meal, which was a shame as we'd had high hopes!

We went for the January menu, lovely food. Caesar salad excellent. Strongly flavoured with parmesan. Then the burger, huge with bacon and monterrey jack cheese. Didn't enjoy the triple cooked chips though. Huge wedges, no seasoning. Carafes of wine were lovely. My friend had the mushroom flatbread which was excellent and the duck confit. Great staff, especially Laura. Very friendly service.

Overall disappointing experience. If I were Gordon Ramsay, I wouldn’t attach my name to this establishment. There was nothing excellent or memorable. I would only suggest coming here for cocktails as the food lacked depth and flavor. Most disappointing was that my colleague said the fish and chips lacked any flavor, and she left hungry. The chips were big and crunchy, but didn’t make me want to go back for more. A little seasoning or salt goes a long way. It was the first time in a while that I left food on a plate. Spend your money elsewhere.

Arrived early so had cocktails in the bar area. The cocktails were excellent. Then after we were shown to our table which was nice , just it was very poor lighting in the whole restaurant so difficult to actually read the menu . Extensive wine list which was nice and the food was well presented and tasted delicious. I would definitely go back again and would recommend it to my friends and family.
