Dessert menu was uninspiring - basically just ice cream and a very small pot of choc mousse that’s too sweet.
Thank gord it came as part of a deal - there are better places around at the same price.

Sadly, the food on the set summer menu was pretty bland. Pasta was flavourless; burger was competent at best. Quite disappointing.

The restaurant exceeded my expectations. The decor and ambiance were very relaxed. The food was excellent and very good value at £19 for 2 courses. The only reason that this review is not outstanding is due to the fact that service was very slow at times...Having said that, we weren't in a hurry, so it wasn't a serious problem.

Great location.
We dined at Heddon Street on 3rd August at 6pm.
The server looking after us was great and the lady who served us wine was good too. The great disappointment was the lady who served our food - no table manners and plates were just dumped. I complained to our main server as this was not acceptable.l Kale salad as starter was tasteless. Gordon Ramsay's summer menu was not that great at Heddon Street Kitchen.

Our waiter (Jon?) couldn’t do enough for us and even had my half of the beef Wellington cooked slightly longer as I’m pregnant.

Ambiance was great. Kids eats free is an added bonus. Food was okay and you need to asked for ice as the weather is a bit hot. It’s an okay restaurant.

Great food and fantastic service. The only downside was the smell of diesel fuel I assume from delivery idling trucks. The staff was aware of the smell and it seemed to be an ongoing issue. The gasoline smell was so strong we were not able to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather and with the restaurants shutters open the smell wafted in from outside. The restaurant faces a small alleyway lined with other restaurants and the road leads to a dead end much like a mews. Wasn't thrilled to have the exhaust smell alongside our meal.

But we sat far enough back that it he oder wasn't constant and we still enjoyed our meal.

We had a great birthday meal pre-theatre. I had an amazing burger and my friends had the duck leg that was extremely succulent.

We dined on the set menu. Good value for money. Food was tasty, portion sizes were good and the place has a lively vive. My only criticism is some of the dishes were excessively salty, including the side salad.

Service was terrible. We had to hunt for our waiter all night. Empty glasses were left on the table as well as some dirty plates. Not up to the usual Gordon Ramsey standards for sure.

Good food and service. Music a bit loud so on a table of six we struggled to hear each other. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Relaxed restaurant in busy Heddon St. Service was excellent, attentive and accommodating. Food was very poor. Vegetarian options were minimal and the two i chose - Kale salad followed by pasta were soggy and tasteless. I would have returned both but as we were in a rush there was no time. Had the service not been as good, I would have been more upset. The rose wine as part of the offer was excellent and one of the best wines i've had as part of a fixed price menu.

We were a group of 5, the service was poor with a long delay until lunch was brought to the table.
Our main dishes were dry and not good.
I ordered pasta from the menu and I was very disappointed.

Food was poor quality- very disappointing. We had the pre-theatre set menu and could have made better at home. The cocktails were dreadful- we sent the first ones back and the second was tiny with limited alcohol. The service however was very good and they managed our complaints well so we will probably go back and give it another try for that reason alone. It’s amazing that Mr Ramsey has built a brand on criticising other restaurants- perhaps he should spend a bit more time and energy on his own quality control...

Expect beef Wellington would be better in the Wellington week. Yep, rough execution (not even medium rare) and crust was even broke.
The sides are pretty good and worth a try.

Good food with service mostly focussed on hard sell than guest experience. Once we ordered and what it looked like there was no more sales opportunity we were left alone with nobody attending the table even when we had empty drink glasses.

Food was great, service not at the top of what we were expecting from a Gordon Ramsey restaurant. We waiting quite long for our drinks, almost 15 minutes for a bottle of wine and 2 cocktails. The time we were ready to place the order for food they told us there was something was missing, nothing personal but I expect to be advised when I start to have a look at the menu and no at the last. We order also some ravioli but the waiter forgot to told us there was no more left and instead to told us they bring a portion of linguine with the same sauce, what a shame! We asked why and then they told us there was no more and we send back. Without saying anything they bring for us a medium burger that my friend left almost all because she doesn’t like medium but she prefers well done.

The food was fantastic and the staff was very nice and considerate. We had a vegetarian with us so the staff made sure we are aware of what is included in the food we chose, without us asking for it. We also enjoyed the live music, it created a lovely ambience.

I had emailed to confirm they would be showing the Royal wedding. They replied they would be so i made the booking based on this. They did not have the television set up and when they finally got it working after the wedding had started the television kept cutting out and turning off the whole way through the wedding disappointing for such a big event. I also requested my order a certain way this was written down by the server but ignore and the food came as on the menu not as requested. It was not busy so one would assume service would be of a good standard. Disappointing I will not be returning.

Meat was not medium cooked as I ask

The meal was particularly good and the service during the meal was excellent. The staff realised that my party of 3 were engaged in conversation and so left us to chatter. It was at that point there was a change of staff after which we were totally ignored. We failed to draw attention when we wanted to pay the bill and it took a remonstration with a member of staff to obtain it. We received an apology and the removal of the service charge. Such incidents spoil the occasion and this was no exception!

Went to Heddon Street Kitchen with a friend for dinner and really love the food and atmosphere here. We did the 2 course menu and except that they charge extra for the side dishes (which I think should be included in the price) then I think the choice and value of the menu is good. The staff is also really nice and attentive - so will go again.

A bit unremarkable. I'd been for breakfast and was impressed. It seemed less impressive for atmosphere for our dinner booking. It was not very busy, which says is all for a Saturday evening. Food was OK, but nothing special. Service was good.
