Service was non existent. Food was good but not great as was expected. The best part was definitely dessert
We all thoroughly enjoyed the food and the ambiance. However, the waiting staff were lovely but never wrote a thing down in front of us and unfortunately consistently forgot things or got them wrong. So perhaps the old fashioned method of jotting things down needs to come back to ensure we get our order as requested. Otherwise a great evening and better we sat upstairs as a little quieter. Thanks
Our initial order came quite quickly, the burger was good the curry ok the fish was poor on the fish and chips, it had no taste, the service from there was poor the plates from the mains stayed on table for 20mins and we didn’t get to order anymore drinks or dessert due to wait! I expected better!
It's a place for tourists rather than locals. The steak was expensive and disappointing quality.
It was an early doors dinner and although there were tables downstairs available they shoved us upstairs where there was zero atmosphere
Fries were cold, burger was average. Gordon Ramsay would not be happy with the dish that was delivered out.
It was great to be able to sit outside under the heaters and to see the restaurant busy again..
Food quality was good and service very pleasant. When we came to pay the bill, I had to go and find somebody to settle it as the waiter was taking an order for a large table and there did not appear to have a back up.
Great place for breakfast - well priced and decent sized portions
Wifey to be’s birthday so brought her to London and treated her to dinner here. It was amazing just need an excuse to come back for something else now. As we live over 70 miles away.
Birthday celebration - fun ambience but food was just ok and it felt like they are understaffed.
Nice food but very disappointing service. Many staff disinterested or inattentive. Several errors with what was ordered - incorrect wine, bottle of water didn’t arrive, red wine served in white wine glasses. Expected much much more
Damn fine food!
Nice location in Heddon Street, outside sitting is rather pleasant. But the food is very mediocre and definitely overpriced for what you get. I don't think I will be returning.
I went to Heddon Street Kitchen for my birthday dinner and the night was nothing short of amazing. Our waiter, Chris, was extremely polite and made great cocktail and menu recommendations. He provided some of the best service I’ve ever received. Everything tasted absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend!
Fab meal post the London Marathon. Even got to sit with Gordon and he very kindly got us drinks to celebrate!
Long wait for our table. Noisy dining experience. 45 mins before our drinks arrived. Low staff levels and generally not a brilliant experience. But we had a good dinner. Food is good but I think we expected more being a Ramsey restaurant. Nonetheless thanks Heddon St Kitchen.
Wonderful service, great atmosphere, beef Wellington pricey as only 3 pieces between 2 but very tasty. Overall a fabulous time
Our waitress michaela was great good location and a good time was had
Simply the best meal we have ever had. The food, the service, the atmosphere where all brilliant. We will definitely be coming back very soon.
Gordon Ramsey needs to sort out his own kitchen nightmare!
Seriously, we are a fan of Gordon and his restaurants, been to Heddon Street numerous times.
Salt and pepper squid was straight out of a box into a microwave ( for £9 you would expect better) main course duck salad (£17.50) was a plate of watercress with a few crispy bits out the bottom of the pan. Burger was very average. Might as well have gone to TGI Friday ( would have been a quarter of the price) Sorry Gordon, the prices here have increased and food standards considerably decreased. Won’t be retuning here.
Great food and remarkable service.
Great location just off Regent Street. Efficient and unhurried service, burger was average to be honest. Partner had pork belly and said it was excellent.
Amazing service, great atmosphere , lots of gorgeous people, delicious food. Ceasar salad was just the best. My friends had amazing sea bream. Can’t wait to be back.
Lovely dinner, but forgot roast potatoes!! Service good!
Lovely food and friendly service. Great for families
food was very good, the staff very nice, the only downside is that the food took forever to arrive to our table.
A bit pricey for what you get.
Food was very bland. Cannelloni was ok my roasted cod was not that flavourful and definitely not worth the money. My friends husbands steak was passable and my husbands sea bream he described as ok and not much to it. The only thing I loved was the sticky toffee pudding. The service was below par in that the starters arrived after the main course was served, they apologized and took it off the bill but it’s hardly the point when you would like to have a few starters to go with your drinks. The worst part was we ordered three sticky toffee puddings and two were served to us and for some strange reason the other one was served to the table behind us. It sat there for a couple of minutes before they realized it was for us. They then took it from that table and put it on our table. At this point my friends husband hit the roof. How is that acceptable to have other people breathing over the dessert, especially in covid times, and then serve it to us. Just gross. He gave the waitress a piece of his mind and told her to get us a new one. I felt sorry for her and she was pretty shocked at the outburst but it was a totally unprofessional way to have that dessert passed from one table to another. We will never go back there again.
The restaurant was packed and buzzy. Good atmosphere for a birthday celebration. Excellent menu, lots of choice. However the service was terrible. Starters arrived before we saw any drinks. There were not enough staff for the number of people eating in the restaurant and the staff were very inexperienced. Food was ok but pricy for what it was. Not the high class experience I was expecting but we did have a fun evening.
First time at heddon street kitchen. Nice atmosphere, service was helpful and friendly and food was first class
Great food, prompt service and amazing venue. i would eat here again
Visited last week for my girlfriend’s birthday. The service was slow, however the waiter was very nice and polite. It was obvious they were understaffed for the number of bookings. The drinks were pretty expensive which I guess is to be expected. I had the steak which was £40 and it was nothing special at all to be honest. Overall I just found the experience disappointing for the money. Will put it down to experience and certainly wont be going again. There’s far better quality and value to be had locally.
Food was excellent. Service was friendly and good. However, we were seated outside and it appeared that there was only one waiter for the entire area. The result was that it took over 25 minutes just to order drinks at the start of the meal. Another 45 minutes or so to order our starters and main course with the starters arriving about an hour and ten minutes after first sitting down. The first bottle of wine was finished before the starters had even arrived (and not through drinking to quickly!) We were fortunately not pushed for time but on any view the service was far to slow.
Overpriced. The food is average and some are even below average. Disappointed since I expected a lot from Gordon’s restaurant.
Wonderful table outside on the patio for lunch. Food was amazing and the team was very nice and helpful.
Once again everything was brilliant.
We enjoyed our anniversary meal and wine.
The Nyetimber had been stored correctly and the Barolo was superb with the main course.
We will be back soon.
Great venue for a catch up with friends. The sea bass and cod were excellent. We decided to go for a cheese board and this was good - a selection of biscuits might have been quite nice.
There were other dishes worth trying so we will return..
Party of 6 including 2 vegans. Pleasantly surprised to see a vegan roast on the menu but what turned up was nothing like the picture taken from the Facebook page. Lots of nuts and very little nut roast. Not good hence rating but all other food, wine, ambience and service good.
Dined on Sunday Evening with my Mum, had the pork off the Sunday Roast and it was one of the best sunday roasts i'd ever had! My only critique was that the roast potatos were a bit on the tough side but other than that was exceptional. Sticky Toffee was emense. Service was top notch, definitely will return.
Food was good, service was ok but was kinda put off for us to be moved on our spot when there were guys next to our table who's been there much longer before me nd my guest had a seat.
Food was good, though not exceptional. Unimpressed by staff not wearing face covering but that's my fault as I should have asked about their covid safety measures before booking.
Great food, lovely ambience.
Lots of wines and drinks !
