We visited heddon street kitchen expecting the amazing signature dish from Gordon Ramsey’s (beef Wellington) myself and my partner both opted for the Wellington. We have never been so disappointed! Especially from a gordan Ramsey restaurant there was no flavour or seasoning what so ever the nicest part of the meal was the portion of chips we had to order to go along side the Wellington as the mash was not enough and also flavourless. So disappointing would not recommended for the money I’m sure you could visit a better restaurant
Great food. Simple food but full of flavour, artfully presented. Un fussy; unpretentious but high quality
Really liked Heddon Street Kitchen, the food was tasty enough, atmosphere was great, the staff were very friendly but needed prompting at times. Good for a business lunch but might not go there socially.
We ordered two salads, had two glasses of wine each and fresh mint tea to finish and the bill came to £110! My superfood salad was 95% kale with a few nuts and a tiny amount of avocado. I’m not sure what my friend’s duck salad was like. She offered to pay and I was so embarrassed at the size of the bill when it came, as it had been my choice of restaurant. Really unimpressed.
Seated with a reasonable wait time as we were stood waiting behind a party who had not reserved a table. Food and drinks orders were taken at the same time which resulted in the starters arriving before the drinks (2 cokes, 1 water for the table and 1 cocktail - nothing requiring an enormous amount of time), had to ask for the bread with the soup starters. The sirloin steak ordered well done was very fatty throughout and pink in certain parts. Sides were good. Desert was the highlight of the meal - chocolate fondant was delightful. Given the quality of the service however the 15% enforced service charge was not warranted. The staff seemed to be overstretched despite their number. Overall disappointed given the expectations of a Gordon Ramsey restaurant.
Fantastic food and service - a big thanks to (Hungarian) Chris our Waiter who was excellent !
Great food, fantastic staff and service.
Always a great evening.
Music was a little to loud
Great restaurant with good atmosphere and service. Music a bit on the loud side which makes diners speak very loudly so overall quite noisy.
Food was very good.
Expected a lot more from a Gordon Ramsey restaurant.
Enjoyed the atmosphere but food was quite average. Service was great.
Great service from the team at Heddon Street kitchen. Good cocktails too
Food was cold and roast potatoes resembled frozen potatoes.... not what you would expect from a GR restaurant.
I think Gordon Ramsey should visit and experience some of the restaurants that bare his name.
I had a view of the kitchen & staff - they were arguing, clearly not on top of orders and it showed in the standard of food and service.
This was a food chain experience with 4 star prices.
All show, no substance.
Really good food and service, staff really friendly and food was very good
Food was good. Service wasn’t great and it wasn’t very busy however the quality of food and drinks made up for it. Would recommend and will go again.
Beautiful food as per usual. Whatever you are paying Tim the Sommelier, double it. His expertise enhances the overall experience. Thanks.
It took over 90 minutes to get our food and it arrived it drips and drabs. We were a group of 11 but the ridiculous the time difference between meals being served. My soup arrived cold and when I complained they took it away an came back with another soup that was slightly warmer..very frustrating. We had a lovely waiter though, seemed like he was working on his own!
Always good. The tuna tartare starter remains a star. The staff are lovely and the location excellent for shopping/window shopping. If I had one note: the rice with the curry could have been fluffier and better separated.
We had a fabulous work's dinner.
Alex was our waiter and he really looked after us - a very funny guy - engaged with everyone round the table and kept us fed and watered all evening. Food was amazing. We will be back.
Music was way too loud
Average food at high price. Expected more
Very pleasant experience. Great good with excellent quick service from the staff.
Quite young and family vibes.
Over priced food!
Foood was great , but service was not the best and the waiter that was serving and taking orders for our table our table stood there to chit chating with another staff for 15 mins before he came check if we were alright . To the point We thought he was a customer having a drink with his friend . Felt like he didn’t care either from his face expression..
Not really what I expect on the day I celebrating my 30th bday .
Had a wonderful afternoon, great food lovely ambience. The staff were polite and attentive.
All in all, we had a lovely experience.
It was our leaving dinner.
The service was so long. Our son wait more than 1h before to get the pasta. The only positive it’s kids eat for free.
The food was not good honestly.
We saw the meat in the dryer fridge then I decided to go for a steak, no flavour honestly. The starters was okay but not as it should be.
Burger were okay.
We are disappointed and leave a taste of I don’t know…
No attention. The lady discover at the entrance our booking…
I don’t recommend to anyone for a date or even a friends meeting, you can find a better place quiet, faster service and better food.
+ the bill was not clear as the vat was added 2 times + service charge for more than £80 … crazy expensive for the quality.
Great breakfast location, great service and ambience! Smashed avocado!
Nothing to write home about. OK for family dinner, hamburgers, fish n chips etc
We dined at Heddon St prior to going to the theatre with our children. The restaurant is contemporary and dimly lit which was lovely for evening dining.
Children eat free with any paying adult and the food was sized perfect for them.
We ordered the pardon Peppers and at least half where spicy- so not for the faint hearted.
We also ordered wine, but the service was a bit slack with topping our glasses up, other tables where topped up but not ours. Would the bottle of been close to our table we would of done this ourselves ( not a problem) but the bottle of wine in the bucket was set away from our table so we had to get up and go get the bottle.
Would highly recommend an Espresso Martini to finish
Just a visit with a friend for a first time visit to london
An awesome meal with our six year old daughter. Her meal was free of charge with our a la carte menu choices and everything was delicious served promptly and a welcoming smile. What more could we have asked for? Lovely and will be back again!
Very good food and good service in a relaxed atmosphere. Good for families- a varied menu- and groups. Very expensive wine list.
I found the service to be incredibly poor. The front of house ladies were lovely and what one would expect for a nice restaurant however unfortunately they were not serving. We were sat upstairs as we were a big group booking, which I understand can be stressful. However the waiter who we predominately had serving us was extremely rude and not at all helpful, he came across as incredibly snobbish and on many occasions I double took the way he spoke to a few of my friends. We had wine on the table which we had to continuously request to be topped up as they wouldn’t leave the bottles on the table and trying to get the waiters attention for these top ups was a mission in itself. The actual table we sat on the was situated against the back wall and pushed right up against the wall and when being seated we ourselves had to negotiate dragging the tables out ourselves so everyone could actually sit down. The food was very nice however because of such poor service and the attitude of the waiters I would definitely not recommend this restaurant if you are looking to celebrate something special- as we were.
It is very good
Vegetarian breakfast was mediocre at best.
Really nice place. Staff is Polite, and the service was very good. We had burgers, and it was soooo good.
The music in the restaurant was way too loud. It was hard to hear anything else but music and people trying to speak louder than the music. Too bad, cause the food and place is really cool
The butter chicken was sadly bland. Service was great.
We had a delightful meal at Heddon Street Kitchen with our team. Most people had the beef wellington which was cooked to perfection and so tasty! I would highly recommend. The staff were very friendly and great at keeping our glasses full and team members happy. There was lots of positive feedback and all around was a fabulous night!
