A few things missing off the plates that were listed on the menu but otherwise the food was very good. Kids eating free all day, every day is great. Service was reasonable. Different waiters and waitresses throughout the meal so couldn’t build any rapport. A lot of staff but didn’t all seem interested in the people dining. We were sat with plates ready to be taken away for a while. Overall a good but not great experience
Food was mediocre at best and yet is quite a pricey place, and with Gordon Ramsay’s name we definitely expected better. The service and ambiance was very nice though.
I was expecting it to be a little stuffy but the atmosphere was fun if a little bit noisy.
Food was good quality and the service was very good.
Overall a pleasant experience.
Lovely food in a great location. Service was friendly and attentive.
This was our first visit here as a family of four with two young children. Amazingly, kids eat free which was great. And their meals were great quality which was an added bonus. The place had a lovely feel to it, and is lovely and clean. Chris our couldn't have been more helpful. The food was great... hubby had a chicken ceasar salad and I had soup with the truffle fries. Puddings were equally scrummy. Great location, just off Regent St. We will most definitely be back.
Had a really great family breakfast setting us up for a day of shopping at Hamleys and others! Service was great and the food was superb!
Excellent service, with a great atmosphere & the food was amazing. Would highly recommend & will definitely return.
Food was fresh and the F&C was fantastic. The service was a little slow as the restaurant was full but she was very accommodating and polite. The sticky date pudding was sensational!!
Birthday dinner. Welcoming staff. Lovely outdoor venue. Great athmosphere
Great food and staff, highly recommended
Service is always what stands out here - we received complimentary prosecco, which was lovely. Very attentive but not "too much". Last time I had the ravioli which was delicious, this time I had sea bass which was okay.. Lovely atmosphere and decor. Would go back
Service was very poor, our waiter got our order wrong twice. The breakfast food was very overcooked and tasted like cardboard. Overall we were happy to pay the bill and leave sooner rather than later from a very poor experience.
Amazing! Both the service and food were exceptional. The location was great. Would definitely recommend and will be going back!
Good food and service but absolutely no idea why there was really loud thumping music playing. Server couldn't hear me and I couldn't hear him (and I don't have a hearing problem)!
Ambience and Service was great at Heddon Street Kitchen. However where I thought it was lacking was the food and value for money. I definitely think some of the dishes were very mild and didn’t have that wow factor, presentation was good however and overall okay meal!
Nice table. Portions were pretty slimline for the dishes we ordered. I have been before and it's not always the case. Nice ambience and waiting service was attentive but not intrusive. Value for money? Not so great when I consider the bill and portions...Overall good though and yes I would go again - just order something different!
Great meal and mid week treat. We had the beef Wellington. Whilst we were a bit surprised when he’s got the bill as we misread that the price was per person and we got 3 slices of Wellington between us, it was delicious.
Staff were great and attentive and the atmosphere for a Monday was perfect as they sat everyone at the front of the restaurant. My one critique would be that the steak knives were incredibly blunt and it made the Wellington impossible to cut. For such a tender meat this was a bit disappointing (especially after seeing Gordon fly off at a member of staff on a programme on the Savoy about knives not being sharp, I was surprised about this here!).
Otherwise I’d highly recommend and we had a great evening!
Fabulous service from start to finish.
Relaxing ambience in prime location.
Unbelievable food, everything was delicious and I’m sure we could’ve ordered anything off of the menu and it would’ve been phenomenal! Incredible meal out.
Restaurant gave us complimentary celebratory gift and desserts 😌
I had a very enjoyable lunch with friends at an outside table. The waiting service was very helpful and friendly and our food was delivered in good time and was well presented. My Caesar salad was excellent as was the main, Beef Wellington, which was perfectly cooked.
Great service and food-the squid and the Caeser salad were amazing! Free bubbles on arrival to celebrate England making the final was a really nice touch too! Will definitely be back
This was the morning after my birthday and I was looking for somewhere credible to have breakfast that would cure my hangover of the night before. Anything with such a prestigious name like Gordon Ramsay attached to it immediately catches my eye and thought Heddon Street Kitchen would be ideal.
The standard of service and food were both as bad as each other. £14.50 for a breakfast that looked like my niece cooked it. I estimate they get about 12 portions out of one regular sized Heinz baked bean can, in total I had about 8 beans. The bacon was terribly stringy, fatty, and difficult to eat. The whole time I was eating I was imagining Ramsay on kitchen nightmares slating the chef for this absolute monstrosity.
I had a busy schedule for the day, so asked for the bill promptly. 20 minutes later still no bill, so I decided to go in and ask for it, to which I was told it would be bought straight out. Another 10 minutes went by and I’m now late for my next plan. They then done something extremely kind and bought me out a scoop of ice cream as it was my birthday, however I had to make the waiter aware that I would just like my bill as I am in a rush, which still took another 5 minutes.
Overall terrible experience, will definitely not be recommending or returning.
We visited on a Sunday lunch time.
Lovely atmosphere and friendly service.
A little disappointed by the Sunday roast, potatoes not crisp but very dense, quite dry. Not note worthy. I had the burger which was delicious. My son had the pasta meatball (kids) but the quality was not what one would expect. Overall ok, but disappointing versus expectations and price. Wouldn’t rush back.
The food wasn’t tasty at all - we had fish and chips and they were bland and the batter wasn’t tasty.
Food was really really nice and not badly price for location! Venue was slightly too loud to have a nice chat with your partner. Main was brought to us while we were in the middle of our starter so felt very rushed to eat and get off the table even though we were allocated 1 hour 30 mins
Fantastic service and great quality food, for special occasions. Group and family friendly, free kids food was a big plus
Amazing food, potion sizes were ample and service was great.
Nice decor and athmosphere, pleasent service and good food.
Service was good but food was average. We had roast dinners and all of the potatoes were hard. Limited catering for gluten free options and the knives didn’t cut the steak. Carrots very salty and veg limited portions. All in all, disappointing.
We tried the duck salad and the famous beef wellington - both dishes were below average and definitely overpriced.
The service was very average too. I wouldn’t recommend it. There are much better restaurants in London.
I hardly ever post restaurants reviews, even if I’ve had a mediocre / bad experience, quite frankly life is too short. However, I was so disappointed after my experience at Heddon Street Kitchen I thought I’d pipe up for once. If you have little to say to your fellow diners, this may be the place for you. The music was SO loud, not only could I hardly hear my friends speak, I could feel the bass in my chair and forget about understanding what the staff were saying. I’m not adverse to loud music, and who wouldn’t like to go out dancing at the moment, but this restaurant is not a club, or a bar, and doesn’t market itself as such. After asking for the music to be turned down slightly, there was a lot of nodding from our waitress but the music seemed to go up a few notches. In normal circumstances we would have left at this point, however it was my brother’s birthday dinner and it’s slightly difficult to be spontaneous these days … in retrospect fish and chips in the park may have been a better option.
After what seemed to be like an age, we finally got moved to a table outside and ordered. The starters were mediocre and the main steaks were cold on arrival and fatty. We ordered a chateaubriand for two, which was £80 - I was aghast at its small size. If you want a good steak, I suggest you head to Berners Tavern …. We decided to make an exit after our disappointing mains and headed somewhere else for dessert and more drinks.
I would add that the waiter and waitress that served us outside were lovely but unfortunately the ambience and the food were terrible and I will never step foot in this place again. This restaurant completely misses the point and has forgotten what makes a good restaurant - great food, ambience and service allowing people to spend time with friends and family.
Food was good quality and tasty, forgot to bring our fries with our Chateaubriand but as we ordered the cabbage (which was just delicious) it was probably a good mistake for our diet. Music was excellent but too loud and even our two daughters agreed so not a middle aged moan. Plenty of staff on hand to serve and help but maybe a little disorganised as our drinks hadn't arrived before our starters were brought to us.
Great atmosphere & excellent food
As the weather was great we were offered a table outside which was quieter than inside! Service was great, very attentive, friendly and available. Food was yummy; it was great to be out and eat food cooked for us!
I several Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants and this is my second time visit Heddon restaurant as well . I’ve had beef Wellington at the Savoy grill and this is my first time having beef Wellington here ! I must say they are slightly different fillings but both good ! Only downside was that my bf had allergic reaction ( not severe but a rash ) from the salt and pepper squid’s sauce . It was his fault for not mentioning his allergy ( I always mention my allergy as I have a severe one ) but it would have been nice if the sauce details were mentioned on the menu .
Food was very nice, the music was a bit too loud though
Always a lovely experience.
Lovely fathers day meal.
My son loved his fish and chunky chips!
The roast beef was cooked perfectly and the pork crackling was crispy- as expected!
Had a great father’s Fay brunch with my daughter. She lived pancakes.
A twist of supermarket ready meals except the ready meals are better value for money. Gordon Ramsay has got a nightmare of his own at this place. Will never return. The easiest money he’s even made off me for that food. I feel robbed
