Menu is good and varied. Beware Beef wellington over priced. The dessert is good especially the ice cream bar. Outdoor seating available but would need booking at busy times.

Where do I begin... this restaurant experience was quite honestly the WORST I’ve ever had!

The menu I found online about the restaurant, online (not on open table), indicated it had more Italian selections than it did. When we expressed our concern with the menu (35 min in), only after ordering drinks (which hadn’t been delivered yet), and explained we had 4 kids under 16 who weren’t really able to find something on the menu, the rather rude server barked back with disgust that we wanted to leave.

We ended up staying, only to find the food wasn’t very good. In addition, we had a CHILD with us who is gluten and dairy free. We inquired about GF/DF selections for her, and we were told we would be accommodated with a GF pasta with grilled chicken and NO SAUCE because the sauce had dairy in it.

When her meal finally arrived, 20 min AFTER all the other meals arrived (did I mention this child is 8), and after the kitchen had “forgotten about it”, it came out with non gluten free pasta and with the dairy laced red sauce.

All in all the experience was awful! The serving staff was rude to say the least. The food was over priced and SEVERELY under seasoned. I’m going to go as far as calling #gordonramsey out for being a fraud based on the “show” he puts on for the television audience. Clearly he DOESN’T know how to season anything AND let me tell you- the beef Wellington was too rare and under seasoned!

Don’t waste your time going to this restaurant!

Great location and lovely outdoor areas in quiet mews. Drinks are pricey though and came to more than our actual food bill. Food was excellent!

Decidedly average.

Started off with promise, lovely smiley host. Buzzy atmosphere, nice decor. Unfortunately little down hill from there.

Table was right by the door, so I felt like I was in a through fare.

Waitress seemed to want us out from the get go asking if we had decided as soon as she turned from the hostess stand to grab the water jug to fill out water glasses. Hadn’t even had tome to look at the menu titles.

After that service was slow. My friend managed to get half the way through her Sunday roast before the horseradish she asked for appeared.

Veg on both dishes was delicious, but both the cod & the beef average. Friend said the Yorkshire pudding was underwhelming.

Unlikely to recommend or return, unless you have children, when so many great places nearby, especially for Sunday lunch when there is a Hawksmoor nearly next door.

Children’s offering was so good, as evidenced by the lady on the next table who ignored her son the whole time in favour of her phone who could fret not, as he was throughly entertained by what looked like a fantastic kids treat box included- so much so neither of the pair seemed to notice he was uncomfortably close to my friend as we tried to catch up.

The separate room we had was a really nice touch. Service was great and the team were really lovely. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals although my burger had a touch too much cheese. The salmon starter was to die for! As was the tuna tartare. We’ll definitely be back.

Lovely for a pre-theatre meal. The menu is quite expensive but that’s to be expected for its location. The food is delicious and the staff were really accommodating and friendly. If you’re going out for an occasion, it’s a great spot to eat.

The lunch deal at Heddon St Kitchen is incredible value for money. The food and service are Ramsay quality, and in normal portion sizes. I had the superfood salad and the burger, and came out completely full and delighted by the flavours

The food was lovely but sides a little expensive- £5 for a few mouthfuls of greens was a tad excessive.
Main gripe is the phone call to confirm booking. The reason I use Open table is the fabulous convenience and not having to pick up the phone. If restaurants aren’t happy to believe open table customers will turn up they are just best not to be on there.

We were four friends so we got two beef Wellingtons. Anyway, the lady said it would take 45 minutes to get the Wellingtons, but we waited for an hour and then it came after many talks with the waiters. However, the waiters’ attitudes were nice (the bearded man with long hair). If I could change two things about the Wellington, I would make it more portions (not only 3 slices) (5 is better). And get Gordon Ramsay to make a Wellington where instead of mushroom thing between the pastry and meat, it would be mashed potatoes. I know that changes the dish, but maybe change is good sometimes. 3/5

I travel to London for work from the USA almost every month. I always plan to eat at Heddon street at least once during my visit. This restaurant hits all the marks for a great place. Convenient location with outstanding atmosphere. What sets it apart from the other restaurants are the excellent staff and incredible food. I have tried most everything on the menu. The steaks are delicious,
Lamb cutlets are just perfect and all of the Sunday roast dishes are outstanding. However my favorites are the Beef Wellington, Butter nut chicken curry and the burger. For starters the gnocchi and meatballs are incredible. And the basic chips are always cooked perfectly. They are crispy on the outside and almost mashed potato creamy on the inside. Last weekend for dessert I had the chocolate Wellington. It was a special and well worth trying. The lava cake is so good too with the salted caramel ice cream.

All of this is served by a staff that seems to know just when to stop by and check on you. They are the ultimate professionals.

As a bonus I was at the restaurant for Easter dinner a couple of years ago and thought one of the guest looked familiar. It was the owner Gordon Ramsey with his family having dinner. He went to each employee and said hello and when the other guest in the restaurant realized it was him he was very kind and accommodating to take photos with them. His kindness and compassion was really nice to see.

I tell all of my friends that visit London to try this restaurant. It’s always worth the visit.

We went post theatre dinner to a nice restaurant but we were disappointed. We were rushed for our orders n the food was served immediately that did not bode well for a restaurant of Gordon Ramsey’s stable. We ordered a bottle of Malbec which was quite pricey. We ordered sea bass which was pretty good but not hot. My friends ordered pork belly n cod, both were just okay not much flavour. Been to other Ramsay’s restaurants but here the staff were more interested in closing the place, then why take bookings for 11pm. Overall the ambiance seemed more like a prison than a restaurant & pricey for the food served.

Apart from a long wait to get the attention of the bar waiter at the start, we had a great evening. The varied menu and wine list meant there was something for everyone. Well-presented and delicious sea bass and an amazing creme brûlée cocktail were the highlights for me. The bill soon adds up, especially when you’re having cocktails. I would definitely go back when I can!

We had a great table outside for a long lunch on a sunny Friday. The lunch menu offer is very good, the food was lovely. The wine is very expensive though. The service was excellent, the staff are friendly and attentive. The restaurant didn't accept my Open Table reward cheque which was a shame as they were not on the list of restaurants who are not participating. The manager gave us a free drink as an apology.
I would go back here its great.
