I would absolutely never do it again!
How do I even summarise my experience, the following serves as highlights of it.
-We waited 45 minutes for our table staff were rude when we asked about how long it would take.
-When we were seated staff were rude, menu was put in front of us and then the waiter walked away, he did not come back.
-Another waiter came to us after 15 minutes of us sitting at the table as he wanted to pour Champagne, we requested a non-alcoholic drink by choice which seemed an issue.
-Our drinks came 40 minutes after ordering.
-When it came to ordering food, as we requested non-alcoholic drinks the waiter assumed we would not want any pork items, it came across discriminatory, his attitude was offensive. By choice we do not drink, NOT due to religion or the colour of our skin.
The food was gross, over rated.
The atmosphere was hostile and uncomfortable due to the customer service. I would never go back there and would never recommend it.

Myself and my wife were really looking forward to celebrating our anniversary here. We requested halal meat and a window seat before our reservation. Received a phone call 2 days before our reservation, mentioning they could not provide halal food (even though it has been made possible by other customers).

Upon arriving we were not given a window seat, we requested this and the lady said this is not possible at the moment but she will try and sort out us out shortly. Bread was provided and then it was almost as though we were forgotten about by waiters, who were running around the place. After finally ordering and eating our mains, we saw 3 empty window tables. we again requested to 3 waiters to get a window seat. All said they would come back with an answer. The first lady who seated us came back, I believe her name was Silvia? said she was not able to provide us a window seat as the kitchen is closing, and started stuttering. We asked why this even matters, she gave us a rubbish excuse about how because people from the bar wish to eat & that she will try and get us a window seat shortly.

We sat there and finished our food, while no-one took the window seats. To top it all off, they gave us a chocolate flapjack bit the size of my small finger saying 'happy birthday' even though it was no-one's birthday. It shows the lack of organisation and how abysmal the service was.

We didn't receive a card machine for our bill for 15 minutes even after trying to flag down multiple waiters, they looked at us and walked past us. My wife was clearly upset she could not get a window seat for the view and the poor service.

Don't expect me to spend £150 on a meal and not expect good service. Save your money and go visit the Shard.

Food was amazing! The view was spectacular. Price was more than reasonable.
Waiter was asking for wine selection within minutes of sitting down. Rushed us through ordering. Entre arrived shortly after finishing appetizer. Upon completion we were “encouraged” to go take our wine and go upstairs to the lounge. Very rushed. In and out in one hour. We went upstairs and then had to wait for a place to sit!

Again, the food was amazing. We’ll definitely be back. Just give us more time next time please!

Very disappointing! Their staff need immediately training on hospitality and etiquette.

The place is nice for the view. Unfortunately, the captain of service crews was rude and impolite and the same accounts for the waiters. They do not even know from which side to place dishes and from which to remove them, nor clean the table. A big disaster!

The food is ok but nothing out of the ordinary. Especially for the prices. It lacks originality and flavours and leaves much to be desired for the ambitions of the locality.

Tip: watch out! We reserved the dinner special and the waiter did not aknowledge the offer. At the end we paid the full price for almost the same menu. Scam!

Food was nice, but staff were slow in the bar to serve us drinks. We waited for 15 minutes before I had to go up to the bar and ask.
Also slow on coming round for the drinks order when we first sat down, we had to ask for the wine list.

Other than that the food was very nice and the view great etc.

I did not know that I would get brunch at 1:30 pm. The "homemade" (why the quotation mark in the first place on the menu???) did not taste of ANYTHING and the accompanying skinned tomatoes did not taste of anything either. The bravette on toast did not taste of anything either and the meat was hard to chew. The bread as starters was great and the chocolate ganache was very chocolatry.
Overall, I will not recommend the brunch which I thought would be lunch.

Service was terrible it was a kind of faulty tower experience. Luckily we were with friends so just had a laugh about it. The food was mediocre and the place is so badly decorated now it’s a shame as it used to be a great location. It’s a tourist trap now. We would not be back

Such a disappointing visit. Despite arriving on time our table wasn’t ready so we were asked to go to the bar where we were offered a complimentary glass of champagne while we waited. When the table was ready they came to collect us and give them their dues they’d given us a window seat. The menu was great, something for everyone however the food seemed to arrive very quickly after we’d ordered. Our starters were just about warm enough but we sent our mains back as they were just too cold. When the food did arrive it was delicious and thought has obviously been put into the menu.

Would I return?? Well the views of course are very impressive, particularly from the bar where you can wander round and spot the city’s landmarks. I just feel it needs focus on polishing the restaurant elements. Perhaps give it 3 months and see if things improve in that time...

Very quiet on a Wednesday lunchtime and yet felt somewhat rushed as informed on the day that they had to close the restaurant due to an event that evening... we could have sat in the private dining but chose not to. Ordered sides - chips as informed vegetarian but later told after eating a couple that they are cooked in the same oil as a pigs head!

I do have a special diet and whilst they did try to accommodate me - I had given previously plenty of notice of my requirements my main course was a small portion of peas and beans.

Disappointing.

Impressive views and iconic building ! We even went to the bar area at the very top at the end of the service which was definitely a highlight ! Food was good, in terms of quantity and taste. Would recommend booking with an offer or a set menu as the a la carte options are quite pricey. Overall great experience !

I booked Helix for a friend's birthday. We were seated promptly and tended to. Food was good, as you would expect.

The view was somewhat disappointing as we were perched right across a couple of highrises that blocked pretty much any view there might be. That said, we were seated next to the window, which I appreciate.

The decor feels slightly spartan and austere, but the place is relatively quiet.

Although I would expect a bit more polished service, the staff were great and attentive and we were left wanting for nothing.

Overall, it's a very good restaurant, just not as memorable as I had hoped.

Yet another example of the present City trend for restaurants from the "build it high enough and they will come" school of thinking. Restrictive menu only 9 dishes across the entire menu encompassing 3 courses. Food itself was mediocre at best poor at its worse. But a pretty view which I am sure will continue to draw in the crowds. But with so many restaurants with a pretty view will one of them please give some thought to the food as well.

Oh, Searcy! You know how to disappoint. A starter of pressed chicken on a bed of bar snacks, and then a main of overcooked fish with mayo on the side, and more bar snacks underneath! Oh, and one pea shoot on the fish. A truly pathetic dinner. But the view is nice, which I'm sure is what you are banking on as the attraction.

London has no shortage of sky-high dining options these days, but the Gherkin is by far the best one. I have not been aware that Searcys gave a complete refresh with the launch of a new restaurant and bar called Helix and Iris - they were only opened to the public last July! We have given both of them a big Thumb up with intimate dining, massive sky views and attentive staff. One of the best meals that we all had - in par with the one in San Sebastián of northern Spain.
