Paying tribute to the former gardens of Covent Garden, a glass roof encapsulates the mezzanine of Henrietta. Terracotta, oak and marble sit alongside flora & fauna atmosphere to delight the senses.

Had a lovely time at Henrietta Bistro this evening. The cocktails were amazing, I had the house special cocktail (that apparently takes 48h of preparation!!!!). The food was exquisite, very neatly presented and of course super tasteful. I had the Burrata with freeze dried strawberries and basil, the beef Tartare with basque anchovy and raw mushroom, the Chipirones, the tuna tartare with tahini & truffle, and the grilled Galician octopus.
The service was to perfection, super friendly staff and overall a great atmosphere. I’ll definitely will be coming very soon and will recommend to anyone who is looking for a special time.
Henrietta Bistro is a standard Bistro with consistent food/ service quality. It's not fantastic or amazing or exciting. It's average to above average. If you're a big group of people with different food choices, this is great. But when I go out for dinner, i'm usually looking for something more exciting.
Relaxed atmosphere with plenty of sharing options and good wine list.
Very nice place to meet up and catch up with friends. The food was good.
Not everything was quite to my taste but the best dishes were sensational and I will definitely be back. The whole group really loved it, cocktails were first class, beef tartare was one of the best I’ve ever had
A great find in Covent Garden. Carefully sourced food cooked to order, with a different twist. Relaxed and fun. Forget about 'hotel', it's a bistro. It's small so best to book.
We had an excellent meal, the food was really fantastic. Fresh, interesting and full of flavours. Service was very attentive. Loved the setting.
Great plates of food in a decent room but pretty poor and slow service - the waitress really didn’t know the (very short) menu. Not her fault, she hadn’t had any decent training.
LOVED IT! CREATIVE CLEVER WELL WORTH THE VISIT - creative and clever cooking that was packed with flavour
One person doing the service. Large selection of coffees. Food selection is nothing extraordinary. Food was good. Eggs royale. Had to ask for water. Had to ask for sugar. Had to ask for salt and pepper. Would not go back
A small plates restaurant. The food was never less than good and was at times exquisite. Service was lovely. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet so it might not be difficult to get a table. Get one: highly recommended.
Fabulous food, great wine list and chilled vibe. Perfect!
Terrific food, kept ordering more! If the background music was less intrusive, that would be an improvement though.
I had seen reviews of Henrietta's and wanted to check it out for myself. I really wasn't disappointed. The food alone was so flavoursome and delicious! Plus the cocktails were delightful. I would highly recommend.
A nice place but empty. More suited to a social rather than business meal.
A wonderful dining experience- amazing food, ambiance and drinks!
Inviting, friendly and sincerely attentive staff make this boutique hotel and its restaurant a must.
The menu changes regularly and the team at the Henrietta quite obviously take great pride & joy in presenting their offering and ensuring that you enjoy the experience to the most. A varied, comprehensive wine and cocktail list pair perfectly with locally sourced ingredients and the passion that is clearly evident in the culinary offerings.
Do yourself a favor and go. Now.
Fabulous restaurant. Super food. Excellent vibe, attentive staff and good playlist. Started with cocktails at the bar and then sharing plates for the meal. Slightly confusing wine list but helpful sommelier. Sensibly priced food. Will return.
Good food spoiled by the tapas model. It all tastes great, and is beautifully served, but the portions are very small. It would make a perfect tasting menu. What they encourage you to do instead is to share everything, even the dishes that were never designed to be shared (try sharing a single octopus tentacle coming with just a teaspoonful of a smart sauce, or a single grilled mackerel, between 3 or 4 people). And the food comes all at once so you never have a chance to taste any dish properly on its own.
If you want to enjoy this place, don't share. Order 3-5 items (one from each section of the menu plus a dessert), and ask to cook everything in sequence. And be prepared to spend about £60 per person sans alcohol.
What a great place to have a cocktail and share a few apps! Food was wonderful and loved the intimate dining experience.
New York Times review was spot on. We enjoyed atmosphere and meal. Excellent location for lunch visiting the National Gallery.
Currently one of the best restaurant in London. Brilliant in every way.
We went to Henrietta Bistrot for the first time and really enjoyed the creativity of the food and the freshness of the ingredients. The menu brings some classic dishes from the Basque Country in the form of tapas which is great for sharing with friends/family. The pastis was very good but I was a bit disappointed that there was no Basque cider on the drink list (maybe in the future?). Finally we didn't have any dessert i was surprised not to find any Gateau Basque or Ossau Iraty with Black Cherry jam, which are very traditional from the area. I didn't understand why there was a Corsican cheese with walnut instead. My friends were very impressed but coming from the area, I was hoping to show them more traditional dishes.
Fantastic dinner and drinks- the staff were very friendly too.
We went to Henrietta during their first week of re-opening. and then again the following week and we felt we had not tried the whole menu! Great venue with trendy bar (lots of interesting gins), we recognised some of the great dishes from the Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels... the Octopus was fabulous, the Cote de Boeuf to die for, amazing foie gras and plenty of adventurous wines to match the menu. The staff was very attentionate and we truly enjoyed sitting by the kitchen chatting to the chef about his new menu. A very special evening!
Looking forward to coming back.
We loved the food - the beef was so good we barely talked while we ate it. The best we have had for a long time. The staff were super friendly and very knowledgeable about the wine. Thank you for a lovely evening.
The service was quite slow and the food was ok but small portions and the food was tepid.
Second time I’ve dined at Henrietta, great ambience and great food
Great food. Awful service
The food was definitely good, as were the cocktails. And the service was friendly, which is extremely important.
Such a lovely surprise for brunch! It's definitely a place we'll return often. The food was excellent, great service and not too pricey. Their set lunch menu looks great so definitely going to check that out too!
Really outstanding food, every dish was absolutely delicious. Little pricy, but great for a special occasion
A disappointment. The best thing about the meal was the wine.
Great review from Infatuation which led me here - sadly the food table service was poor and the starters took way too long to arrive - seated at 20:30, starters arrived closer to 22:00
We came for a pre-theatre dinner at 5:45pm and confirmed our 7:30pm show time with the waitress upon arrival. At 7pm our entrees still had not arrived and it was obvious the order was either never put in or the kitchen somehow didn’t receive it. Our food was rushed out at 7:10pm and we had 5 minutes to eat. Instead of doing the right thing and not charging us for any of the meal, they thought bringing out a free glass of wine at 7:10pm and taking only the beverages off the bill would make up for the disastrous service. Truly a nightmare, and a very expensive one.
My wife’s meat was significantly undercooked and when told about it, they told us that was how they serve pork, I was able to point out that wasn’t true since I had gotten the same thing. Waitress stored our bottle of wine across the room and when we asked for more, she poured only one glass and said she shouldn’t pour since the sommelier was supposed to do that. If only one person can pour the wine, why leave it across the room?
The food was very good quality that screamed well sourced ingredients, and the service was excellent.....but, one of the chefs has a habit of licking his fingers constantly, could be rather off putting if your a delicate sole, luckily I am not.
While visiting London, we wanted to go somewhere beyond the usual places recommended for tourists, and a local friend suggested Henrietta. We were not disappointed! It is a lovely, cozy spot, tucked away on a small street very close to the theaters. From the moment we walked in we were treated like old friends by the bartender Nicholas, and the rest of the staff. The drink menu is creative and fun, and the dinner menu, while small, was full of good choices. Being from the US, we were not as familiar with some of the ingredients on the menu, and our waitress was very sweet and patient with us, knowledgeably walking us through the menu. I must mention that during our visit to London, we have done extensive research on where to find the best chips in London, and Henrietta’s chips are by far the yummiest we found! The steak was cooked to perfection, and seasoned beautifully; the boneless quail dish delicious! We will come back to London just to go back to Henrietta’s.
The restaurant was lovely, the food was flavour driven and me and my friend were warmly welcomed. Staff was friendly and very knowledgable. Bartenders served us great cocktails. Definitely recommend this place for a Friday night out.
Amazing brunch food. Great service, it got busy but they never made us felt rushed. Will come back for sure.
