the place is cosy, well situated ,warm and welcoming. The staff are friendly and efficient . The menu is small and not well described and the waitress didn't really explain things very well. There was only one vegetarian option which wasn't very exciting. The food was attractively presented and perfectly well cooked so why are we waiting for BUT..... It is extortionately expensive!!!! We only had one glass of wine each and no deserts or coffees and the bill came to £168 ... total rip off . We were stunned . They had charged £15 for 3 small portions of vegetables which were not imaginatively done and £15 each for those glasses of wine , £3.50 for a minuscule piece of bread. We left feeling totally punched in the stomach rather than that cosy glow of satisfaction . Never again !
Really nice lunch. We took the flat breads and it was Amazing !
The wine menu is great ! Try the Blanc Ivoire from Chateau Soucherie it was delicious !
Atmosphere much better than stated by others. Pleasant venue and great food
Love Henrietta - has style, comfort, charm, ambiance and lovely staff. We had great food - flatbreads pre-theatre, then later, an excellent steak and chips for him and delicious roast cod with chestnuts for me, plus madeleines to die for. Couldn’t have been better.
A great pre-theatre fix for this bustling location. Bar with seating available for drinks & snacks with a small open kitchen firing out dishes to a small downstairs seating area. Food was full of flavour, with great presentation. Service was happily informal, and who can disagree with a basket of freshly baked basket of madeleines with chantilly for dessert?
We attended on New Year's Eve - a second visit to the Henrietta. The team made it a lovely evening. Unfortunately although some dishes were superb, the steak didn't sit well in a set menu and I'm afraid the dessert was poor and lacked the finesse of the rest of the dishes.
Despite these issues it is a great place to eat or to meet for a drink. A buckwheat waffle won't put us off and we are sure to be back!
Excellent. Nicolas gave us a great wine recommendation. Service was perfect. Food was outstanding.
Creative, delicious food in a stylish setting.. well worth the trip.. welcoming, friendly staff, too..
We had a disappointing Christmas date night at Henrietta. After all the rave reviews we were expecting something truly amazing. What we got was average and under seasoned. It was a shame as the size of the bill reflected a truly amazing dinner, not the ordinary one we had. We can only guess that the normal chef was off for Christmas.
Food portions were tiny and although in the moment not great tasting
My only recommendation is theclafoutis dessert which was fab
