Just how Henrys came to get its name is a bit mysterious, as it is a topflight, slightly formal Cantonese restaurant. Bright and spacious with a relaxed atmosphere, Henrys is decorated in yellows and reds, with Chinese music playing gently in the background. It is very business-entertainment oriented and attracts a professional crowd. What's cooking? Just about every one of your favourites, from sesame prawn toasts to mixed dim sum to won ton to crispy aromatic duck served with pancakes - and those are just the starters. You probably already know what you like, but we do recommend the steamed seabass or dover sole with ginger and spring onions, and the sizzling grilled sliced fillet steak Cantonese style. Many veggie dishes and five set menus.

Food was average at best, mainly due to it being rather tasteless....and it wasn't exactly cheap either.
Waiters were attentive and helpful, however in a very robotic and removed way..

Great food with excellent service.
7 of us had one of the set menu choices, there was lots of choice and the quality was very high.
Moderately expensive but ok value.

The food at Henry's is exceptional, a well put together menu with some really great touches.
The staff are very attentive and despite our late reservation time they were very patient.
The fixed menu option was varied and good value.

I had an enjoyable trip to Henry's Cantonese Restaurant in Birmingham with my family. The starters were excellent, great portion sizes and very tasty. My family and I enjoyed sharing prawn toast, spring rolls, fishcakes and spare ribs. Our favourite main course was the sizzling duck with spring onion and ginger, this was a delightful dish. We were disappointed by the chicken curry, which lacked flavour in our opinion. I wanted to experience a good chinese meal and overall I felt I did this.

Very nice buffet. There was a period of the majority of the dishes being empty but they were eventually brought out.

We dined at Henry's in Birmingham on a busy Saturday night, and as usual the service and the food was exceptional. The waiters and staff were attentive without being pushy, and the dim sum and monk fish that I ate were fantastic! A thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all.

A place for people who love real, big plates of good food. The decoration is great and I'm sure when the place is full it's a hoot, very attentive friendly service, toilets a let down though.
