Nice Fathers day sunday lunch, a tad bit pricey for Newcastle but was to be expected.
Starter was nice, Main course was nice but Roast Potatoes were poor imo
Best thing about the place was service and Ambience wouldnt mind going to try the alacarte menu
The service was very nice and efficient but the food was poor and bland. I have eaten here before and the food was very good but the Sunday lunch was not.
Food was lovely and the staff outstanding well presented and very polite. The only down side was £35 for a Sunday lunch was a bit expensive. I know it was Fathers day maybe this was the reason. But I couldn't fault anything else.
A lovely Sunday lunch.
Very nice setting, pleasant staff and lovely food.
It was a lovely evening. This was my first time in Hibou Blanc and it was great. We were served by lovely young man who did everything to attend to our needs eg. ask for a certain shot and cocktail. The room had a warm welcoming feel and I will definitely be returning.
Tremendous good and cooking. Lovely staff. Lovely environment.
We sat outside for about 2 hours before our meal and the staff and service were first class. The meal itself was superb and our Belfast waitress was fantastic. Will definitely return.
The best Chateaubriand I’ve ever had! Excellent attentive staff without being over the top and a lovely atmosphere, we will definitely be going back!
Great to relax in the beautiful bar before some delicious food with attentive and friendly service, another great evening in Hibou Blanc.
Slightly disappointed with quality and cooking of my steak, which is unusual as food normally 5* all the way
I’ll put it down to a one off glitch so will be back as love this place
A special occasion restaurant with a beautiful dining area, attentive and thoughtful staff and delicious and beautifully presented food.
Another stunning meal. I often find, even with great restaurants, that their Sunday lunch offering can be mediocre - this is not the case with Hibou Blanc. The meal was beautiful.
Enjoyable Sunday Lunch get together after lockdown.Staff attentive. However one of party is vegetarian & felt main choices on £35 Sunday menu poor. The cheese tart was chosen but was very average ,had soggy bottom & was really tasteless - not on par with the beef roast which was delicious.
All starters & puds fab.
We had a fantastic experience at Hibou. Staff were all so attentive and helpful. Food was excellent quality. Will definitely be visiting again. 100% recommend.
We arrived and were put in a small room which was terrible. We had booked to come months ago so we’re very disappointed. I spoke to the manager and she was excellent, she arranged for us to move and gave us a free glass of Prosecco each. We couldn’t of asked for more and we will definitely be back. Thank you
First visit to Hibou Blanc for a couple of drinks and it was fantastic. Decor and atmosphere in the bar was great and we received excellent service from the staff!
Beautiful setting and the staff are really attentive and really nice. The drinks and cocktails are amazing
Good setup and great setting
Excellent food and very friendly and helpful staff
Lovely restaurant and extremely attentive staff
Choices for vegetarians were very poor and over priced. The onion tart was delicious (but steeply priced at £18 and it only came with a few lettuce leaves).
Deserts were a bit disappointing off the lunch menu (2 of the choices were clearly pre-made refrigerated options).
Not quite as wonderful as I expected but still enjoyable! The nice atmosphere, decor, lovely cocktails and friendly staff made up for the food disappointment
Had a fantastic 2 hours enjoying the sun and a couple of beers on the outside terrace. Fantastic ambiance and staff were all lovely polite and friendly .
Absolutely beautiful bar and restaurant the food was fantastic but pricey. We will definitely be going back.
The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble fir them.
Table outside, great in the sun and for watching the world go bye. Some of the best cocktails in Newcastle, classic negroni's are awesome. Great new bar menu nibbles.
Fantastic restaurant and wonderful place. Friendly staff who made us feel very welcome.
We ate there last night and I honestly could not fault it, excellent food, great service, great venue, real napkins lol and value for money. Its now on our go to list.
Building and decor are excellent.
Portions of food too small but very tasty.
Amazing!! Service top notch and cocktails stunning 100% reccomend
Stunning surroundings, stunning cocktails and menu amazing, can’t wait to visit again
Excellent as always, lovely place to sit in the sun and enjoy a drink. Atmosphere was very relaxed and the table service was spot on. Staff all lovely too.
I had this fishcakes to start and the lamb Sunday lunch for mains, it was delish the curry Mayo and lime worked perfectly together. They were very accommodating organising us a table in the sun after we had food. Highly recommended.
Fabulous evening would 100% recommend, the food and service was amazing.
Great food and service as always, can’t recommend this place enough, a hidden gem, you will not be disappointed
Great ambience and setting - service was a bit slow
Absolutely beautiful food. Always a fantastic experience.
Ben made us feel very welcome. 1st rate cocktails. Lush venue.
Outstanding food and exceptional service surrounded by beautiful decor.
A lovely place to choose for a special occasion with amazing food and wine. Looks unassuming from the outside but very nice interior.
The service was excellent and the food and wine choices were great. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was excellent. Wuold highly recommend.
Food was excellent and the waiters good. Quite pricey and would have hoped for more attentive service if pitched as one of the more expensive restaurants in Newcastle
Fitted out to a high standard and should imagine a nice atmosphere when full. However the really disappointing part was the “welcome”. Maitre D was collecting payment from other customers which is fine, but continued to chat and ignore me on arrival. Became uncomfortably embarrassing as other guests commented on how rude she was. Finally seated by a waiter but doubt we will be back if you are treated as an inconvenience on arrival. Shame as could be good and a welcome addition to Newcastle
Great place, just what we were looking for. will definitely go again.
