High class food and very knowledgeable and service-minded staff. Very nice athmosphere.
Perhaps the music can be turned down slightly - or changed to a bit more lounge-like.

Overall a very pleasant experience. We chose the set lunch menu for simplicity which was quite decent. Only wished there was a bit more dessert choices
The bread was fantastic and food excellent, presentation very good. Service was attentive without being over the top
A relaxed and casual dinning atmosphere at the same time refined and calm.
We will definitely return

I had high expectations but unfortunately the flavours weren’t there. The combinations were a bit strange in general and in stead of lifting the dish it just was weird. As an appetiser I had courgette in 2 servings which was beutiful but didn’t taste much. As a main course I had the octopus, once again a beautiful presentation but the combination of flavours were not good, though the octopus was very well cooked. The desert I had was elderflower sherbet with crumble etc and the icecream was ok but the crumble and gooseberry on the bottom did first of all not go well with the elderflower flavour. And Alain the gooseberries has a very chemical flavour.

Outstanding food! The taste evolves as you eat the course, the presentation is just fabulous and the portion size is right! I highly recommend the mackerel for starter (if you're a fish fan, of course) - can't describe exactly how it was cooked but it's absolutely delightful! Amazing customer service! We were there for my wife's birthday. I left a note about the occasion when booking on OpenTable. Those notes are usually ignored by the venues but these guys brought my wife a card from the chef and put a candle in our desert, without me ever asking for that explicitly. Great wine, great ambiance - I just couldn't get enough.

The place is really a thing, and the service exceptional. I liked the food, however, I was more impressed with their customer service, staff kindness, and the atmosphere is really British and makes you understand why London is famous for its food scene.

Very attentive service, nicely polite and quick without the rush and snootiness you experience in some Mayfair establishments. Both starters - pea ravioli and crab tart hit the spot. We shared the rib-eye. Slightly over fatty cut. The onion rings though were genuinely outstanding. Artichoke - meh ! On the deserts, we couldn’t decide so tried three. The donut was pretty good - though had it been freshly cooked like Sexy Fishes it would have been exceptional. The lemon tart, exactly as described. The acorn cake - nice theatre, but apparently better with the red rum. Spectacular wine list

Very fine, and fresh breads. Mackerel tartar was not only Delicious but also worthy of the Phantom of the Opera mist effects. The bed of seaweed underneath completed fine mackerel with its fragrant note. The Octopus was very tender, and fine.

We had afternoon tea on a busy Friday. I have been told by the staff to start with the sweets first and finished at the savouries. I found it a bit weird. My favourite item on the menu was the chocolate hazelnut tartlet. Scones were okay and the sandwiches were VERY dried and blend. Note that the teas come without tea leaf so you don't get refilled. Hide Ground is busy and crowded, much prefer the space downstairs (Hide Below)

I had high expectations for Hide Ground for dinner, but for me it failed to deliver. I'll start with what I liked about the restaurant. I felt the ambience and service were both excellent. The restaurant's decor and attention to detail I found pleasing. I liked the napkin holders, comfortable wood chairs and other dark colors and wood. The interesting staircase caught my eye as soon as I walked in. We were promptly seated after coat and umbrella check and had several staff members helping to serve us. They were friendly, attentive (filling our water, folding napkins if we left the table, checking in), and available to offer suggestions as requested. We ordered the bread basket and found it enjoyable. That is where the positives ended for us and the negatives began. The drinks were underwhelming. My husband and I each ordered a cocktail and they were fine, but nothing special. The entree came almost immediately after the bread, and I would have liked more time to enjoy the bread before being given the main course. We ordered the 50 day-aged short-horn beef rib and were both disappointed. We both felt the steak was tough, flavorless, and fatty. For the price point, this was a huge let down. We both liked the onion rings that came with the beef, but found the other sides to be average. For the price and reviews, I expected much more. I would not recommend this restaurant to others.
