Hinnies Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Have been a few tims to Hinnies now and with each visit the food, ambience and service just gets better and better ! Had 3 course early evening meal each, one alcoholic and one soft drink and the bill for two came to just under £45. The music and interior design are relaxing. Could not fault any aspect of our visit and we will definately return. Give it try and I'm sure you'll agree !!
Our first visit to much talked about Hinnies. Loved the relaxed, but sophisticated, atmosphere. There was a gentle buzz of people enjoying themselves but we could still hear each other to be able to converse. A good range of traditional dishes made selecting difficult! I opted for the divine goats cheese tart followed by the melt in the mouth (literally) braised beef - wow! It was the best I've ever had. Too full for desert so I rounded off the meal with a lovely seasonal mulled wine. Would thoroughly recommend.
Last week we visited Blackfriars, the sister restaurant. What a difference. Everything was excellent from the food to the service and the warmth! Such a change from last week and a lot better value for money! Certainly will go again as everything was fab. Thank you .
The restaurant was surprisingly quiet fore a Friday lunchtime, but that didn't spoil our enjoyment. Food delicious, as always and service attentive. The set two or three course menu is very good value ,with plenty of choice. We enjoyed an excellent bottle of Malbec with our meal. Hinnies is one of my favourite restaurants and I will return!
This is one our favourite restaurants in Whitley Bay. We eat here quite regularly, mainly for lunch but sometimes in the evening and we have never been disappointed. The food has always been of a very high quality and the staff are lovely and very attentive.
An excellent Sunday lunch for adults and children. The sharing fish starter is always a treat and the black pudding scotch egg had a proper runny yolk! The roast beef was juicy and pink(as ordered) and the accompanying vegetables perfectly cooked. The children's menu offered a good range of dishes, including a roast and was sensibly priced. The service was friendly and attentive, as always. A favourite venue for lunches and evening meals.
1st time visit on a Sunday and it was my wife’s birthday so we had the set 2 course lunch. Great variety of tasty veg with lovely succulent pork and crackling. Very tasty sticky toffee pud and washed down with craft beer and a couple of glasses of Malbec.
A really nice location with great ambience. Super smooth service by efficient staff without intruding. Busy but the operation runs like clockwork. Great value. Will definitely return.
Went there with relatives from Germany. Everyone was impressed with the food which was really tasty and well-presented. Nice booth which was really comfortable and the service was outstanding.
Good selection of drinks both pre and with the meal.
We'll be back.
