Home Sweet Home - Great Northern
Great quality food. Only let down is that burgers are not served with chips.
Had a lovely time. Food was lovely, chicken was delicious. Took our puppy and the staff were so lovely. I can’t remember our waiters name but he couldn’t have been more attentive. Will definitely be going back.
Great location and family/small dog friendly
Fantastic breakfast and cakes!
Great service and the food was lovely. Would definitely go back.
Food was good although the menu didn't list that the dish contained peppers which I cant eat, when it came this was annoying as I had to pick them all out. Service was quite slow considering it wasn't very busy, but would go again as food tasted good and the other people I was with really liked theirs.
Great food and service as always! Would highly recommend
Terrible, rude service!!
The sweet treats on the afternoon tea were delicious however the savoury food was rock solid!! We couldn’t even bite into the bagels.
Fantastic, it’s just good food in a great atmosphere. After you’ve finished you’ll feel like you’ve had a hug, I love it here!
This was our first visit and we could not be happier. The food was amazing , drinks were delicious and the staff could not do enough for us. We will 100% be coming back and recommending to friends and family !
Great food and the special party room was an amazing added bonus - perfect for a hen!!
Very expensive for what it is. Can find cheaper elsewhere for same quality of food
Great place, amazing chicken, couldn't do enough for us!
First people in the door in the morning, all the staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. Avocado on toast was sublime
Always great here. Just wish they’d bring back the cheeseburger hash!
Took the kids to Home Sweet Home for lunch and they loved it! Already asking to go back. Staff were really friendly and great experience all round.
Very poor portion of the food, not really worth the price. Customer service can be significantly improved. Moreover, two different menus for outside and inside are ridiculous. I won’t be back.
The veggie breakfast was huuuuuge and so nice, one of the best veggie breakfasts I have had :)
I love home sweet home and I'm hoping Sunday was just a blip - but service was incredibly slow (despite the fact that I had booked a table), and when food did come the taste was ruined slightly by the luke warm temperature of the food. One of my friends also was very sick after the pancakes.
I have had many much more pleasant experiences at home sweet home so like I said, I hope my last visit was just a blip.
Great food and great service. The waitress was brilliant but I didn't catch her name.
Staff take plates whilst other members of the group are eating. Food is below standard, dried waffles and over fried chicken. Eggs are buttery and over flavoured. The prices are sky high for frozen reheated food.
This place never lets us down, top quality service and food, would recommend to all.
Great food, great service and a really nice place to spend an evening with friends.
I used to love Home Sweet Home it was one of my favourite restaurants- now since the menu change I think it’s all gone a bit down hill. Menu is a lot smaller and our burgers where quite bland. Service was top notch but food itself was just a let down!
Food was fantastic as always, as was service(our waiter was called Hunter.) Will definitely be returning again.
Food was great - good quality and portion size. Not cheap, but happy to pay for quality.
Service was efficient - seated promptly, asked for drinks quickly and delivered within a reasonable time. Same with the food ordering.
Nice atmosphere, busy (it was Father's Day) but didn't feel rushed.
Would have been nice to receive a "Goodbye" or "Thanks for our custom" when leaving but that was the only flaw in an excellent brunch.
Great brunch after completing the half marathon with a free pint! Server wasn’t too sure on menu items which was a bit of a negative but he went and checked anything quickly enough. Had the chicken and waffles which were great!
Staff attentive and professional. Food as always devine and arrived in a timely manner despite it being very busy
It was really good but our food took ages to come and there was a mix up with my sons food as they realised they weren’t doing that dish. When it finally came mine was cold and my eggs were hard I’m guessing mine was left waiting while they made my sons because of the mix up
• HAIR IN FOOD
• POTATOES UNDERCOOKED
• STEAK UN-CHEWABLE
USUALLY A REALLY NICE PLACE TO GET A BREAKFAST BUT UNFORTUNATELY ON THIS OCCASION I COULD'NT EVEN EAT MINE. SERVICE WAS A LOT SLOWER THAN USUAL DESPITE IT BEING QUIET.
Vegan meal was overpriced for the ingredients that were in it and the amount of food you got. Flatbread with cauliflower as the main ingredients totting up to £10....would have expected more.
Meat meals didn't have a lot of meat in them, mainly all fries. Was ok but wouldn't eat there again.
Take away cakes are delicious.
Very well looked after, particular shout out for Joseph who sorted a delicious cake out at short notice.
The food was good but the service was very slow. We waited nearly half an hour to pay with the plates on our table, just a bit annoying really.
Lovely little spot for brunch in particularly (although they do run an evening menu with a bar licence).
Range of food was perfect, from traditional English breakfasts to edgy unique offerings and also the more lean choices.
We had to wait 15 minutes for our milkshakes which was a shame but the staff informed us of this at the time of ordering anyway.
My only criticism would be that the sourdough toast could’ve been warmer and given it was only a two meal order, had expected better.
Nevertheless, a cracking spot and will be back again. Long live the brunch.
Went to home sweet home on Sunday 31st, mother’s Day at 3pm and I must say, the service was amazing, couldn’t fault it in any way. The waiter who was looking after us was really nice and made sure everything we got was great, I think his name was Ky. He was a really lovely guy, and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had when eating out. Would definitely be coming back and I would recommend home sweet home to anyone, Thankyou!
Had one of the best eating out experiences here. The food was great but the best part of the experience was out waiter Ky. He was absolutely amazing, making sure that we felt welcome, had everything we needed and made great conversation! He is definitely one of the best waiters I’ve had in a long time!
Great food. Staff were lovely and friendly. Food was quick, will definitely be back.
From being seated at 6pm, when we had booked for (good start) it was 45 minutes until our starters arrived, then a further hour for our main courses. Whilst it was clear our waiter was doing his best the delay seemed to be elsewhere (the kitchen?). The restaurant was busy, but not full. It was disappointing to have to wait so long for our food, which was really nice when it arrived.
sat down straight away- service a little slow and muddled but it was packed to the rafters, so it was understandable - wrong fries brought with one meal- exchanged immediately, with apology. all food piping hot.
Love this place kids always want to go 😍 I’m always happy with the food
