    We went there mainly to hear the live music. I booked a table at 8:30, and the music began at 9:00, so we were able to get our orders in before it got too loud. The food was nothing to rave about. Not bad, just not great. My husband had the steak and ale pie. It was average. I had the grilled halloumi salad (two sad strips of halloumi, with an okay salad) and the haggis meatballs (I was underwhelmed). We had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Again, not bad, just not great. The music was good, which is why we were there in the first place, but they could up their game on the food and become as well known for their food as for their music.

    Made reservation based on other reviews. Sadly disappointed. One showed us our table and took order. Another brought our food and yet another cleared it away. That was the only time they came to our table. Never got more water to drink, one of the steaks were over cooked. Couldn't get anyone to come to address it til we got our bill. Nothing was done about it. The tables around d us were asked how their food was and checked on, but we were not. Service charge automatically added, but didn't get any real service.

    It was a nice experience, great service and good food. There was a very loud table of guests next to us, found that a bit irritating , hence we left early , othere wise we would have enjoyed the band at 9pm

    The vibe was decent, the service was poor, our order took forever to be taken. Food was decent. I had to ask for a glass of water thrice and wait 20 minutes before I got it myself. The music was just ok.. nothing that was described in the reviews and what we actually came for.bI dint find value for money at all.

    Great pub food with a fantastic atmosphere. The team at the pub were very helpful but not too in your face. Food came a good pace and was well prepared. Add in live music and it makes a great place to spend the evening

    Loved the food. Loved the vibe and we even had a Jack Black look alike serving! The only disappointment is that they wouldn’t give us their haggis and gravy recipe! ♡

    A very lively and loud place. Great if you are looking for a crowded, fun atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Food was ok and prices decent. Not ideal if you want a quiet and great quality meal but for fun, excitement and great service, it’s brilliant.

    Lovely food, drink and service at Hootananny’s. Could not fault anything while in the place. Did get a bit crowded towards the live music time which did make us leave but would come back.

    The food was delicious and although I had to leave before the live band came on they splayed a lot of really good folk via speaker. The staff were all really friendly as well!

    Great service. Reasonable selection of appetizers, mains and desserts. The preparation and presentation of the food that we ordered was impeccable. Coupled with a great bar and live entertainment, this is a real "must go" place.

    Vegan options available and food tasted fresh with great flavour. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We also got a very nice welcome at the door when we arrived. Music was great too!

    Some staff were hard work when it came to ordering drinks. We received the wrong drink order and the waiter was not keen on changing it. We had been there for a good hour drinking the same drinks. Music was excellent to start, however the second singers were not right for the venue and time of night. Although they were good it wasn’t the right vibe after such upbeat music. Good atmosphere in the pub and excellent covid plan, seated only and table service. A really good night all round.
