Delicious food, plenty of options both for meat eaters and vegetarians. Excellent cocktails.
I eat here at least once a month and I've never been disappointed.
A lovely evening all round, despite the weather. Thanks
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, although it's a small restaurant they catered to our party of 10 very well indeed, the plates arrived to the table steadily. Good value for money, would happily recommend to anyone.
Three visits under my belt, tried various different things from the menu. All have been excellent.
Love this place. Food is always a delight and freshly prepared. A novel way to try several dishes via the 'tapa' type availibility of several dishes.
Only disappointment was the lack of Keema on the night. Told it is not a popular dish in Glasgow. Please put it back on!
Overall the food was delicious and the desserts were to die for!
If you do not like pink meat avoid the lamb and duck selections. We were told the meat for these could be pink to well done. I would suggest almost raw to whatever would have been a better guide for diners. The scallops were over cooked and slightly rubbery. The chicken offerings were first class. To clarify all the food was delicious just a bit too undercooked to our taste in some dishes.
We didn’t feel rushed until near the end when we were told we may have time to order dessert. Glad we did order dessert as it was delicious, but was concerned whether we would be allowed to finish before being asked to leave. Overall we were under 90 minutes from entering to leaving. They run a tight ship here, so be prepared!
Really enjoyed the small plates. As other reviewers said, the duck breast was great, but also really liked the full range of options especially the Masala aubergines and the spinach and paneer pastry. Recommended.
I love the food and relaxing atmosphere in Horn Please. I wasn't the biggest fan of their squid dish but still I enjoyed it. The food is amazing and I recommend the duck.
The food here is quite different from the majority of Glasgow Indian restaurants, this is not about filling you up and testing you capacity for chilli heat. The food here is much more refined and utterly delicious. Each plate burst with different textures and flavours and the presentation of the dishes much closer to fine dining than a typical curry shop. The service, delivered by a single front of house server, was unbelievably efficient, much better than many better staffed places. There will always be a place for a Glasgow curry, but if you love Indian food and want something a little different, do try Horn Please, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!
Excellent food & service. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Visited here after a recommendation & will definitely be back. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived & our host was very lovely & gave us a bit of history about the restaurant & name. The food was delicious & we thoroughly enjoyed it.
A great surprise! excellent cocktails/ gin selection- the food came in perfect portion sizes! Loved the potato curry and fried bread it came with
I used to go the Horn Please in Melbourne which is probably the best Indian Restaurant in the city. The Glasgow version, just as good! Food was exceptional and so was the service. It’s a bit different but thats why you should try it!
Fabulous food and service as always. Top notch tapas including chicken tikka, lamb and potato curry, bread pakora, minced lamb, scallops and the best parathas possible.
Impressed with the quality of the food and very much enjoyed the tapas deal with cocktails! Definitely somewhere to visit soon again ⭐️
I love horn please. The food is incredible - so different from other Indian restaurants but definitely fulfills a craving for Indian. The staff are super efficient and friendly and the atmosphere is great. Ticks all the boxes for me
Absolutely fantastic food, staff, value for money.
Really enjoyed 1st visit, was a recommendation by a relative who loves it and has been 4/5
/5 times..my rating would be 4.5..we loved the variety of small plates and sampled around 10 different dishes, all were good and 3/4 were a surprise and delicious..everyone seemed to be chatting and enjoying their meals so felt both buzzy yet intamite..bill was a little less expensive than I thought itwould be..will defo visit again
My friend and I had a wonderful time with wonderful food and friendly, polite, attentive service. It got a little bit busy at points for the staff but we were enjoying it so much I didn’t mind. I will definitely be recommending Horn Please to my friends and family.
Lovely Indian food with a twist. Good service and ambience. Highly recommend!!!
Absolutely first class food and brilliant service. 11 out 10.
Excellent small sharing plates and the waitress was very helpful and informative.
First time trying indian food in "tapas" style. Loved it. The flavours were amazing and it was great being able to try so many different dishes. Waitress recommended 6 dishes (3 each), but would say 4 dishes + naan bread would have still been more than enough. Wasn't complaining though as each dish was amazing and would have struggled to choose only 4 anyway! Will definately visit again when in Glasgow.
Food and service was excellent. Our server made us very welcome from the moment we entered the restaurant.
Unusual, interesting and very good dishes combining often unexpected ingredients and flavours. An Indian aesthetic but a global palette. The music was wonderful.
Brilliant find! The food was delicious and authentic. The drinks were great value. The service was outstanding. We loved it. Highly recommend.
Really tasty food and attentive service. Not bad value either. Space is not great. We were a group of 5 and, because of how the tables were arranged 2 of our party could only leave the table by disturbing other guests. But will definitely be going back.
Whilst the food was tasty, the portions were too small even for tapas. Service was slow and we had to remind staff of our order. Very disappointing.
The food was as delicious as on previous visits and service friendly, efficient and helpful - we will certainly be returning and have already recommended to various friends and family
Curries were very good, but the paratha and puri were not the with of £2. For a normal person he/she could eat 4-5 puris as it's very small for the amount we pay. Service was very bad since we had to wait for 40 minutes to get the food on table after ordering.
Yes! Loved the food and cocktails. Already recommended to friends!
Great food service good new. Location small but pleasant atmosphere
Smoked aubergenes were outstanding. Wasn't convinced about the cocktails being served in random array of recepticals. The drinks themselves were delicious. I would have liked rice or a bigger bread for getting the last of all the yummy sauces. Wasn't wild on the mini poppadums, they almost tasted a bit bitter. Accompanying dips were great though. We booked last minute and got a table right by the door. Fine for me but the partner was basically sitting in the doorway. He didn't actually care. Food came quickly espite it bei g busy. I felt it was higher end price for what it was. I would go back.
Our 2nd visit in a couple of weeks, and the food was every bit as excellent as the first time. The service is excellent, and the value for money just amazing. Highly, highly recommend.
Good Indian food with a twist! Third visit and food has always been very good. Tapas size plates- scallops/sea bass /baby aubergine dishes amongst my favourites
Took over an hour to be served first course. 1 out of 3 of the tapas dishes i ordered was inedible. Wasn’t even offered an apology when i told waitress.
They seemed to be understaffed.
I love this place. Brunch was delicious, a little different to what we were expecting (it wasn’t executed as well as their a la carte dishes) but will still be regular customers.
Service was excellent as usual. Just wish more people will go and try how good it is.
The food was truely oustanding - quite possibly the best Indian food I have ever eaten ?
Absolutely loved it , food was lovely girl was rushed off her feet but really pleasant considering the mela was on . I’d definitely recommend . Nice to have something different from the usual Indian fayre round about .
We didn’t know what to expect, as many of the descriptions were unfamiliar, but every single dish was excellent, and we’re already planning a return visit.
