One of my favorite places to dine out. Clean restaurant & bathroom, friendly waitresses who go above and beyond, and food is well presented and delicious. All good from my point of view!

Food was good, had fish sandwich, will request no cheese next time. Always happy with our experience.

Horse and Carriage is a great local restaurant. The staff is tremendous, curtious and friendly. The restaurant is very clean and we feel safe going there during Covid.

The food is excellent. It is a bit pricey, but we go weekly to support everyone. We want to make sure that when this is over the restaurant is still here.

I had my favorite swordfish piccata. As also it was delicious! Started with a candy cane martini which was so good! The staff is amazing.

The food, service, and ambiance has kept me as a regular customer for over 20 years.

First reservation cancelled on Thursday because of snow storm. Made another reservation that night and got it for the same time we had. Worked perfect because we got our Gillette light show tickets honored as well.
The restaurant itself was definitely Covid-19 prepared and that put us at ease. The fact that we were supporting a Non-chain restaurant made us happy. Well the Chef and all the staff made it even better. Perfect portions and presentation and our waitress was very attentive but not overbearing to make us feel uncomfortable or in a rush.
Thank you for a great time and we are definitely talking up The Horse and Carriage. Please don’t change, Patriot Place has nothing on your establishment! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

I still cannot make a 4:30 pm reservation. I know there are empty seats. There is something wrong with the reservation process for 4:30 - 4 is OK and 5 is OK. So I make it for 5 and show up at 4:30. That is how I know there are seats at 4:30.

This local restaurant is always reliable for wonderful service, great food, and a very friendly atmosphere - it’s one of my favorites. The staff recognize you when you come back, and our server this day (Linda) even remembered what I like to order! There are many long-time favorites on the regular menu, and there is always an extensive list of specials. This was my choice for my first dinner out after a 14 day precautionary quarantine, and they really hit it out of the park!

The specials are very delicious. The Prime Rib melts in your mouth The wait staff are pleasant and efficient and the drinks are not watered down.

Nothing fancy as far as decor, but the food is scrumptious! Never a bad meal!

This is the second trip here in a week. Amazing service and a comfortable feel. We love the food and I will go back every week if we can.

Great casual place in Norfolk with super food and great atmosphere. A local spot that has been here 20+ years and the locals love it. Menu with great variety but get the fish!!

The room was very cold, left our jackets on the whole time. Our waitress was apparently overworked because the other one who was supposed to work with her called out sick. It definitely affected our service a bit. When you request another beer and soda but you only receive one beer that's a problem. Had to ask more than once for the soda and only then received it at the end of the meal. That shouldn't happen.

Overall experience was fantastic received excellent service prime rib was very tender and flavorful nice to go to a long time favorite family restaurant this is our second dining experience here. We surely will return here in the near future.

Roast beef dinner was excellent ... wish there had been an alternative veggie selection besides carrot. Front seating area is very quaint. Wish the fireplace worked.

Shared Timmy Mac and cheese as app for 4, awesome as always. Meals of chicken Marsala, fried clams with onion rings and fries, and Parmesan crusted haddock were all mouth watering and delicious as always!

Always enjoy our dinners at Horse and Carriage and food is very good. We have been dining there for many years. Never had a bad meal there and service is great.

Excellent dinner!

Continues to be our favorite restaurant. We both had the Shrimp Teriyaki special. It was outstanding, Service was wonderful as usual. Even after many years of going to the Horse & Carriage we are never disappointed. The menu is continually changing with weekly specials that are delicious & innovative. Looking forward to our next visit.
