Took my two daughters here for a special meal, the food was fantastic and the staff were very attentive and polite, would definitely recommend the Singapore fried rice and satay chicken one of the nicest dishes i have had.
Did not enjoy the food at all. The spring rolls were nice but the chicken seemed very tough. When the main arrived it did not resemble what we ordered. The chicken seemed processed almost like nuggets I would buy from Iceland. The liquid it was swimming in had no flavour what so ever. We wont be back!
Lovely food, well presented and, while not cheap, good value for money.

Good meet at door. Table looking out to sea great view. Staff very attentive but not intrusive. Food visually good and great tasting. Cocktails nice maybe a tad expensive very good coffee to finish off will be back.
Portion sizes were very small for the money and the tables were not very spread out.

I am gluten free and had little choice ordered chicken in plum and pineapple sauce there was no pineapple or plum sauce just stir fried chicken and veg a complete waste of money certainly not cheap
The food was absolutely disgusting, extremely disappointed. We had 3 individual meals and they were all disappointing. Bland, poor quality and for the the cost of the meal you expect better quality.
Even though this was highlighted when we paid the bill, nothing was acknowledge. I wouldn’t recommend it or return.

Under the current circumstances the food and service at Zen were excellent.
Nice meal, however waited over 45mins from sitting down to be asked if we want drinks, and food order. This was unacceptable really when we had a table booked and their was people who were behind us in the queue who were finishing their starters and had drinks before someone had been to even ask us if we want any drinks or food order etc, and even then was only when one of our party raised the issue with one of the wait staff. Otherwise was a nice night and lovely food. The service needs to be improved with the outdoor seating due to covid restrictions, I feel they have crammed too many tables in at a cost of good quality service, but I get that they have lost time and custom to make up. Wouldnt put me off going again, but would probably wait until restaurant formally opens inside.
We arrived at 5pm, the manager sat us at our table. We then waited 15 minutes for someone to come and take our drinks order. We then waited a further 15 minutes for someone to ask us if we wanted food. I then said We didn’t want food and we were told she would need to move us. We then waited a further 10 minutes, at which point we still didn’t have any drinks so we got up to leave. As we were walking away, the waiter then tried to force us to pay the bill for drinks we never paid for, to which we refused. The waiter then huffed and puffed and stormed away. Terrible service and would never go back!
Lovely food, still.hot.wven though outside. There wasn't any heat lamps next to us but thankfully the sun was out. Overall really enjoyed it.

I brought my dog as it has always been dog friendly. We sat outside but were told that if we sat on the left hand side we could order from the full menu but couldn’t take the dog, if we sat on the right we could take the dog but could only order bar food (chips etc). Had my little niece and there was nothing suitable on the bar menu. Said to the staff that their rule made no sense, both seating areas were the same, just 6 foot apart. The same staff were serving in both areas, the food was coming from the same kitchen etc. The staff seemed lovely and apologised profusely but said they were the rules. Got food eventually, tasted of nothing (not due to covid!), got out quickly and went for an ice cream downstairs (where the dog was allowed to be with us!).
It was far too cold to sit outside in the open and enjoy a meal. I realise you cannot do anything about the weather but the rest of the diners were under cover in the gazebo but we weren’t offered the choice to be seated in there.
It was just great to be out, the restaurant have gone all out to make everything COVID secure, great food, excellent service and staff are brilliant. Counting down to our next visit in a couple of weeks! Keep up the good work 👍
£20.75p for a very very mediocre meal - 1 pint Pepsi, 1 egg fried rice, 1 honey chilli chicken - not value for money at all
Booked late (actually in the queue) but placed in a table within the marquee which was really nice and warm with the weather outside being cold. Not sure if this was pot luck but turned out a great location. Food was fine, service was quick (almost too quick) but overall with such a late booking couldn't fault it.
Everything fabulous, food fantastic as always, lovely service. Only issue we had was the guy who was front of house wasn't very pleasant. Very abrupt with us when we had trouble with the track and trace and when we weren't sure which way to go for the ladies room. We laughed it off but he let the place down which was otherwise a great night.

First time visiting with my partner and 5 month old. We were running a bit late as we struggled to find parking so of course I rang up to let them know we’d be about 15 minutes late (shouldn’t of been an issue!) I was spoken to so rudely by a man who said “so you’re 10 minutes late and going to be another 5 minutes?” I explained the situation and he then hung up. I’ve worked in hospitality for 7 years and I know, as would anyone, that this is not the way to speak to your customers! When we arrived the only man working was the manager which makes this even worse as it was obviously him who I had spoke to on the phone. A manager should definitely not be speaking to customers like this. We were then sat in an area of the restaurant that was right at the back where no other customers were sat!! There was plenty of nicer tables further at the front and I feel like the manager sat us here as punishment for being late?!?! If I wasn’t breastfeeding then I would have pulled him up on this but since we wanted a quieter area then we just sat there. The service was slow to being with, I think we had been forgotten about as we were so far back. The food was nice and the rest of the staff were great. But the way I was spoke to was out of order and to be honest he’s lucky he even had our custom after being spoke to like that before even arriving! We spoke to the manager at the end about the poor service we had received and he didn’t seem bothered in the slightest! Lovely restaurant with lovely views but the owners should be choosing more carefully as to who they let run this place!!! So disappointing.
Ordered shredded beef but was terrible waitress took it off the bill but not great apart from that was lovely
