Delicious modern Greek food in beautiful setting and fun atmosphere.
Great service, great food, great music
Food was fantastic for a set menu! Best taramasalata I have ever eaten 😍😍😍😍. Definitely recommend for pre / post theatre dining 👍🏻
Good food, nice music, awful service. They must realise they do not have to do with young teenagers denying access to the upper club level telling you lies in front of your face, such us :" the ones who are surpassing you have a reservation", as I have been there before and you don't need a reservation in order to go to the upper bar.
A very exciting 21st birthday celebration meal. Very knowledgable staff and a very tasty food. Late evening music was energetic. Would recommend
Expensive with very poor service - they needed our table back at 10pm Which they told us continuously and at one point our waiter literally pulled plates away from us as we were still eating. Would not recommend.
I really enjoyed my evening at Hovarda, it is expensive for the amount you do get. But the food tasted lovely. The atmosphere was lovely, it was an older crowed and great music.
Perfect for a girls dinner, stunning restaurant, the service was really great and good value as we dined from the set menu. Thank you
It was an Excellent night out for us . Thanks a lot!
Really friendly staff, beautifully decorated, great toilets, good set menu unfortunately food was just a let down. The squid was so chewy, I couldn’t bite through it and the pasta was just plonked on a plate with the sauce on top.
Love it! Food, service, atmosphere on point. Wish there was more space for drinks after though!
The food at this place was just amazing! Octopus in particular was delicate and delicious. Even the other Mediterranean dishes were exquisite. And it’s in a lovely central location, with great vibe and extremely polite and attentive service. The only issue was the extremely loud music from the club upstairs after 9:30/10pm. As if they don’t want people to dine after that time instead they want them to move to the club upstairs. I’m sure it was fun for some people though. But for us, we enjoyed the food and ambiance downstairs a lot more.
Amazing food and the staff were very attentive even though we were on the pre theatre menu deal.
The music was definitely too loud - they must resolve the problem of the tables below the balcony with DJ bar upstairs. I like energetic restaurants but at Hovarda it is impossible to have a conversation if you end up in those tables.
I really enjoyed the service, food and drinks but when the bill arrived for 2 people no starters or desert just a few small tapas plates each a bottle of wine and 4 tequilas chasers at £255 I thinks ridiculous. I definitely think the food is way overpriced.
Good food and interesting decor but wine per bottle is expensive.
I thought that horvada was well the money. I thought that the staff were welcoming and friendly . The atmosphere was spot on . My daughter and I both had a fantastic starter and main course from the brunch menu. They also brought us some bread while we were waiting for our food . I would definitely come back again and recommend it to friends and family !!!
Great experience. Loved the food, cocktails, and music
Slightly overpriced for what it is (comfort Greek food). Also, restaurant’s menu doesn’t include VAT for some reason so we were quite surprised to pay extra % in addition to stated prices and service charge.
We loved the place. The food was really nice (I specially loved the sea bass and the Turkish eggs). Deserts were delish as well.
Bueno para probar pero muy caro. Lleno de gente guapa. La comida bien. Una rara combinacion de griego y turco (y sashimi!?). Servicio atento.
Beautiful beautiful setting, we had a great time here. Food and service were perfect. Will definitely be back. Thank you for an awesome afternoon Hovarda!
People upstairs was too young .
Irene is lovely!
Great food, wine and service - always a good choice
Nice venue, not very busy at lunchtime and very quiet. We went for the special korean vegan pop up menu which was very unusual
Hovarda is a beautifully ambient restaurant bar. We went at lunch so it was very quiet (we were the only guests for half of the meal). The staff were perfectly polite and attentive. The chef in residency was Jay Morjaria - the food was exquisite, perfect balance of flavours and beautifully presented. I would highly recommend both.
The atmosphere was really great! The service was brilliant
Pre-theatre menu was interesting and delicious. Service started well but was over-familiar, seeing our clean plates: “I don’t need to ask if you enjoyed it, you obviously hated it, haha!” We still had half an hour before the theatre so we ordered dessert but then, despite few occupied tables, the service paused. After half an hour we had to chase the dessert and it was found immediately. That server said, “sorry it wasn’t ordered by me”. The food was excellent and the first two courses delivered quickly, so the very slow dessert was a disappointment. I would go back again.
Overall a good evening that was ruined by an extremely rude employee called Elina.
Instead of ordering mains which were quite pricey for each dish we recommend ordering a bunch of mezzes to get a taste of the menu. Visually the restaurant is stunning, but the prices on the menu do make you think ouch. We enjoyed our dishes, and the service was quite pleasant. Overall this is a place to go when you want to splash the cash and a bit of a treat.
Horrible service.
We booked for 5, had a table for 4 (with 2meter hight men) and they would tell us it’s normal and we can leave if we don’t want to stay.
No one would clean our plates after eating, cocktails would take 20-25 minutes to come, we would ask three times for salt and olive oil with the grilled fish (it never came) etc.
250 pounds per person you would expect much higher quality.
Really nice place with good food! We have been only for bottomless brunch but we were really happy by the service
We went for the pre-theatre menu and whilst most of the food was lovely (the spaghetti pasta was not up to scratch but they did remove it off the bill after tasting it themselves) it was dead inside at 6:30pm. It did start to get busier around 9:30pm so I don’t know whether it’s more of a late evening eating place. Good if you want a quick quiet meal before the theatre or a date night.
Very nice staff & ambience during New Years Eve dinner.
I have had enjoy and had an Excellent and Great time
Very good service and food. Will definitely come there again!
Awesome dinner at a favorite
Amazing food, great menu, incredible choices and flavors. Service is outstanding, from reception to final closure. Thank you for a memorable dinner.
Amazing atmosphere and great music
Food was 10/10
Hovarda was lovely ambience and nice food, but nothing extraordinary for the price, which was a shame. Otherwise we enjoyed it very much, group of 4 friends for dinner and drinks.
Fantastic pre-theatre menu and food is delicious. Only negative is it's way too loud to have an easy conversation because there's a nightclub upstairs and the music is blaring. We also didn't like being approached at the door outside asking why we're entering. I understand this is how nightclub checkins work, but for dinner out before theatre its quite off-putting to be approached in this manor.
The service in the restaurant was good and the food was really nice.
Once having finished dinner and continued our drinks upstairs, the service from one of the waiters was absolutely appalling. That experience would really put me off recommending anyone to go for drinks at the bar upstairs.
