Food and service were great. Noemi is simply a credit to the restaurant
An asset that you should definitely keep.
Nice looking restaurant, well presented, good atmosphere. Service was attentive and very good. Food fairly average Mediterranean cuisine and overpriced for what it was. OK for a pre-theatre dinner but there is better food on offer in the area.
Loads of fun. Very good service. We originally had been allocated bar seating for dinner but were quickly changed to a table when requested. The music is absolutely top notch and the atmosphere was brilliant for a Saturday night.
What’s to say and how do you explain the beauty of flavours that is this food. I’ve been coming to this place on occasion since it’s opening and simply can’t get enough. The live DJ is amazing and somewhat loud at times which makes intimate conversation a challenge but perfect for a raucous night with friends. I’d recommend asking the waiters to bring their favourites to have the ultimate experience, but make certain you bring your wallet.
Fabulous fun vibe with some beautiful people - the staff were amazing - food was excellent - highly recommended - music was high energy and funky! Loved it!!!
Amazing food vibe music. Special place for friends get together and drinks/ food was also uniqur
The place looks great, the food is great. The service was the only thing that was greatly lacking in this restaurant.
The waiters were not communicating with their customers, I ordered a watermelon and mint drink 3 times and they kept bringing me another type of juice, because they did not have watermelon any longer and did not communicate it to me.
Moreover, they would bring dishes to the table without mentioning them, their name and place it to whom ordered it.
The blonde waitress was definitely not trained properly either as she didn't answer any of our questions regarding food and drinks and seemed confused.
Service therefore was super slow. Two dishes that we had ordered came after 40mins!
I didn't realize I would be seated at the bar while booking on open table
Great ambiance upstairs !
Front of house needs to be more gentle. When booked for a table and get a return that’s been confirmed please arrange that table to be seated.
We had a lovely dinner to celebrate our anniversary. They surprised us with a lovely dessert and a candle to celebrate which was a very nice touch.
Lovely interior and wonderful concept having a DJ on each night.
We left early so didn't enjoy it to it's fullest but I imagine it has a great late night party vibe.
Food was tasty and authentic and a very pleasant wine list.
Hovarda is sumptuous in gold and teal - an incredibly cool restaurant and beautiful place to mingle. The food was good and looked fantastic but the size of the mains was a little small. Good to have some Greek wine options.
Amazing food, great environment, fantastic Music! For me its the place to be in London !
The food- good, though portions are suprisingly small considering both the price and the recommendations we got from stuff (she recommended 4-5 starters and couple of mains for four people, don’t get tricked, the main is half or even one third of usual dish size in most London restaurants). We were meeting with friends, mainly to talk and exchange news. One of our friends is 9 months pregnant. There was very loud in the room, mostly because of the music playing. We asked the stuff if they could turn it down a little, because a) it was making our pregnant lady uncomfortable and b) it was literary impossible to talk, we could barely hear each other. The manager sent over to us said that not only they won’t turn it down, but also it is going to get louder, as there is a club upstairs and they turn it up when enough people gather upstairs. Also the waiters couldn’t take the order properly, I assume for the same reason - they could not hear us.
In short: food- great, waiters service - great, manager service and attitude to customers - really dissappointing.
Food took forever to arrive. Had I cancel one starter because the 1kg fish arrived before one of the starters. Food was nice and so were the staff. Music was too loud
The service needs to be addressed urgently.
Lack of knowledge and professionalism from almost all the staff. We had to wait for drinks (even still water) for a long time even between courses.
The ambience, food and service was great. We will definitely be back.
Helpful staff, excellent location. Pre-theatre set menu is very good - main course portions not huge, though delicious. So we had puddings, which were outstanding. Excellent wine list, with interesting Greek and Turkish wines, as well as others. A really helpful sommelier. Greek/Turkish coffee an excellent finish. Altogether well worthwhile - we shall go again.
Really good looking restaurant with a great vibe (playing Ibiza style music), option to order mezze (sharing dishes) which gives an opportunity to sample a few different dishes and great service.
Very unpleasant experience
Food and service was amazing.
Will definitely go back
The venue is lovely and service is good. But the food is not good at all.
Great atmosphere, very very tasty food and service was very quick. Everything has explained very well.
Upstairs was much fun and great coctails with amazing music.
My only negative comment is, while we were dining we have been interrupted by our lovely waiter so many times, he was helping us for sure but after a while that was a bit much.
Food: it was okay, it was served lukewarm and it won’t be a dish to remember. Overpriced.
Cocktails: The hovarda cocktails combinations of flavours do not seem to work. Even classic cocktails were not prepared as they should e.g. martinis are served in small cups..i’d rather have a martini in a ‘martini’ glass. Overpriced (even though I would have been happy to pay the premium had the cocktails been good)
Bar: There was a bit of crowd surrounding the bar that later turned into what seemed to be more of a uni students party.
The staff were moving fast and carelessly among people e.g. there was broken glass on the floor as a result of this.
Positives: The place is beautifully decorated and the bar area is really pretty
Best food i’ve eaten in London in a long time. We went for the lunch menu and I had squid followed by chicken. Absolutely delicious. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Only downside was we were the only ones in the restaurant on a Weds lunch time. I really hope word gets out on this place because the food was exceptional. I’ll definitely be heading back.
I had a dinner with a friend on Sunday evening. Great food and cocktails. Kudos to chef-bartender Lukas! The food was also exceptionally good. Everything we ordered was delicious ( courgette croquettes are must try). Overall I liked the decor and ambiance of the venue. I will definitely go there again
Great fit-out, great atmosphere, excellent service and excellent food. We had the best seats in the house - overlooking the kitchen which i'd definitely recommend asking for if dining a deux.
Overall I thought this experience was poor. We had to move because the adjacent table was rowdy and ended up eating on the counter near the kitchen. There was no 'single' waiter / waitress dedicated to our table - we must have been served by half a dozen staff. The food arrived in a haphazard way - ie. starters at the same time as main courses. The fare was tasty but pricey. I would be surprised if this place is open in six months' time.
Very good food, service is really nice as well. Overall great, the only problem is the music which is too loud in the main restaurant.
Food is delicious. It is contemporary Turkish and Greek. However, there is nothing really Turkish or Greek only the names of some dishes can be an indication.
Interior decoration is beautiful. Music is too loud..
Service is very unfriendly. Miserable reception. They are taught not to smile or they think they are doing a favour to their clients. Apparently, not trained in hospitality.
If you want to enjoy food only, go at a quiet time. If you are night owl, bar and music is the place to hang around
Service was bad. Waiter counted the money at the table and when we asked for them to call us a taxi because there was a snow storm outside they said it is not possible. Taking into account that the food wasn’t that great, I wouldn’t go back or recommend to a friend.
I eat out very regularly. This restaurant surprised me the food and the service were exceptional. It was a quiet Monday night but instead of the staff being bored and moping around they were devoted to serving the patrons in the restaurant. The food was excellent simple but well designed and executed perfectly flavoursome and refreshing. I’m already planning my next visit.
The concept is very hip. It had a very nice buzz with a good crowd. Dinner downstairs was nice, service was good, food was good, but not the best (had much better Greek food). Upstairs the DJ was amazing it was very crowded. To order a drink at bar was just ridiculous we were sitting at the bar chairs for 45 minutes and never got served. The two barmen were very busy, the bar manager kept looking at us and said just give me a minute, he later saw we still didn't get drinks, so he took our order, then the bartenders would ask us and we said we are fine we already ordered from the manager. Waited even more, then when I got the attention of the manager he had the worse attitude and said the bar is busy... We ended up leaving. Shame...
Amazing food and atmosphere on a Thursday. Great Dj!
All the staff were very attentive. Food was delicious. A relaxed environment.
Visited with a couple of friends for lunch. We initially order hot drinks to chat before ordering our meal however the waiter came over so many times to ask us if we were ready to order, it felt as if we were being forced a little.
Food was very very tasty however the portion size was way to small. The mains course was the size of a starter which was very disappointing.
The food is very nice, but we were rushed throughout the meal. As soon as we sat down our waiter told us we had 2 hours because they had 250 covers that night. From then on in, every decision was rushed and it made us feel uncomfortable. After our meal, then the manager and another person told us that the bar/lounge upstairs wasn't full yet and there was an international DJ playing. When we got upstairs we were promptly turned away as they were fully booked (even though many tables were empty). It was a huge shame, the food was good and the restaurant looks beautiful. Hopefully these are just teething problems and it will sort itself out in time.
we visited for pre-theatre meal - delicious fresh fish, perfectly cooked. Excellent service - overall a really good dining experience.
Very good food, just a little bit pricey
