Really good looking restaurant with a great vibe (playing Ibiza style music), option to order mezze (sharing dishes) which gives an opportunity to sample a few different dishes and great service.

The venue is lovely and service is good. But the food is not good at all.

Great atmosphere, very very tasty food and service was very quick. Everything has explained very well.
Upstairs was much fun and great coctails with amazing music.
My only negative comment is, while we were dining we have been interrupted by our lovely waiter so many times, he was helping us for sure but after a while that was a bit much.

Food: it was okay, it was served lukewarm and it won’t be a dish to remember. Overpriced.
Cocktails: The hovarda cocktails combinations of flavours do not seem to work. Even classic cocktails were not prepared as they should e.g. martinis are served in small cups..i’d rather have a martini in a ‘martini’ glass. Overpriced (even though I would have been happy to pay the premium had the cocktails been good)
Bar: There was a bit of crowd surrounding the bar that later turned into what seemed to be more of a uni students party.
The staff were moving fast and carelessly among people e.g. there was broken glass on the floor as a result of this.
Positives: The place is beautifully decorated and the bar area is really pretty

Best food i’ve eaten in London in a long time. We went for the lunch menu and I had squid followed by chicken. Absolutely delicious. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Only downside was we were the only ones in the restaurant on a Weds lunch time. I really hope word gets out on this place because the food was exceptional. I’ll definitely be heading back.

I had a dinner with a friend on Sunday evening. Great food and cocktails. Kudos to chef-bartender Lukas! The food was also exceptionally good. Everything we ordered was delicious ( courgette croquettes are must try). Overall I liked the decor and ambiance of the venue. I will definitely go there again

Great fit-out, great atmosphere, excellent service and excellent food. We had the best seats in the house - overlooking the kitchen which i'd definitely recommend asking for if dining a deux.

Overall I thought this experience was poor. We had to move because the adjacent table was rowdy and ended up eating on the counter near the kitchen. There was no 'single' waiter / waitress dedicated to our table - we must have been served by half a dozen staff. The food arrived in a haphazard way - ie. starters at the same time as main courses. The fare was tasty but pricey. I would be surprised if this place is open in six months' time.

Very good food, service is really nice as well. Overall great, the only problem is the music which is too loud in the main restaurant.

Food is delicious. It is contemporary Turkish and Greek. However, there is nothing really Turkish or Greek only the names of some dishes can be an indication.

Interior decoration is beautiful. Music is too loud..

Service is very unfriendly. Miserable reception. They are taught not to smile or they think they are doing a favour to their clients. Apparently, not trained in hospitality.

If you want to enjoy food only, go at a quiet time. If you are night owl, bar and music is the place to hang around

Service was bad. Waiter counted the money at the table and when we asked for them to call us a taxi because there was a snow storm outside they said it is not possible. Taking into account that the food wasn’t that great, I wouldn’t go back or recommend to a friend.

I eat out very regularly. This restaurant surprised me the food and the service were exceptional. It was a quiet Monday night but instead of the staff being bored and moping around they were devoted to serving the patrons in the restaurant. The food was excellent simple but well designed and executed perfectly flavoursome and refreshing. I’m already planning my next visit.

The concept is very hip. It had a very nice buzz with a good crowd. Dinner downstairs was nice, service was good, food was good, but not the best (had much better Greek food). Upstairs the DJ was amazing it was very crowded. To order a drink at bar was just ridiculous we were sitting at the bar chairs for 45 minutes and never got served. The two barmen were very busy, the bar manager kept looking at us and said just give me a minute, he later saw we still didn't get drinks, so he took our order, then the bartenders would ask us and we said we are fine we already ordered from the manager. Waited even more, then when I got the attention of the manager he had the worse attitude and said the bar is busy... We ended up leaving. Shame...

Visited with a couple of friends for lunch. We initially order hot drinks to chat before ordering our meal however the waiter came over so many times to ask us if we were ready to order, it felt as if we were being forced a little.
Food was very very tasty however the portion size was way to small. The mains course was the size of a starter which was very disappointing.

The food is very nice, but we were rushed throughout the meal. As soon as we sat down our waiter told us we had 2 hours because they had 250 covers that night. From then on in, every decision was rushed and it made us feel uncomfortable. After our meal, then the manager and another person told us that the bar/lounge upstairs wasn't full yet and there was an international DJ playing. When we got upstairs we were promptly turned away as they were fully booked (even though many tables were empty). It was a huge shame, the food was good and the restaurant looks beautiful. Hopefully these are just teething problems and it will sort itself out in time.

This is a new restaurant and well placed for all the theatres. Traditional Mediterranean grills and dishes with excellent fresh fish, grilled over a wood fire. Not cheap but reflected in the quality. Very attentive service.

I went with some friends to try the new restaurant that it was highly recommended. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. At the beginning, everybody was on the top of us which at some point it was a bit annoying . Then it was like half an hour of silence and before we ask what has happened with our mains , the waiter came to inform us that the mains will be arriving soon without explaining why there was so much delay . Food was below average , portions were small and not only that we ordered prawns that to our surprise they were cut in half just to show that there were too many . When you pay £12 for a starter even if you don't want to offer a lot of prawns at least don't cut them in half . To sum up: very slow service, food could be better, overpriced. There are restaurants in London better than that !!!

The waiting staff were enthusiastic in their attempts to be attentive, but unfortunately went so overboard it was difficult to have a conversation with our friends without being interrupted. The food was well prepared and the flavours were lovely, but the value for money was appalling, we ended up eating again when we got home we were so hungry, this needs to be seriously addressed. I am not one to complain but I will definitely not be visiting again.

We did not have an enjoyable time at Hovarda. The main reason being that the staff were continually asking us if we need anything/ could they remove plates. Almost as soon as finished our glass of wine, the glasses were removed. It left us with the feeling that we were being rushed and that they wanted us out as quickly as possible.

Couldn't fault it. It's one thing to have amazing food and okay service but to have both is amazing! The food is beyond perfect, every mouthful! And made even better by our waiter, an enthusiastic guy who was really helpful in helping us select our dishes. I'm a foodie and just about only try plcs once and move on, but in this case was about to book another reservation at hovarda and decided to write this review here! I highly recommend it. I also suggest sitting at the bar for a better experience as you see them prepare your food. Loved every bit of it, great food, great ambiance and soooo unpretentious! Food, staff and ambiance are what make it top notch!
