   Hugo’s has great drinks and service and I will keep coming back. My only complaint is the food comes out cold quite often. I’m not sure what’s going on between the kitchen and the food coming to my table, but every time I dine here I’ve had that problem. The food tastes great but the timing needs to be improved.

   At the end of the night, we were really disappointed in the service and experience that we had at Hugo’s on our anniversary night. The food was excellent, however, the service was sub par. I think the wait staff could be a little more attentive, especially when there are so many of them walking around and not a lot of customers in sight. The service can be a little faster as well. We sat around way too long waiting for things. If people choose to spend a special occasion at your restaurant, it would be nice to have things go as smoothly to have a positive, unforgettable experience.

   Hugo’s is always a great place to dine with friends... our group went on a Friday night for my birthday... Great food, great hospitality and great drinks. Hugo and Eric are the best!

   I really love this restaurant! Their wood-fired grill makes any thing of the grill special. They have something for everyones taste. I have had half of the menu and never been anything but impressed. The bone in ribeye on the wood fired grill is perfection! There is only one concern I have, it is a bit loud, if your meeting with people and need to have a conversation, it can be a bit tough...

   Love this restaurant! The food is always great and because I’m celiac it’s easy to eat here since most of their items can be made gluten free. I can even eat the corn chips because they’re baked and not fried. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere.

    Always like Hugo’s. Wish they offered at least a few happy-hour food items. Tried the Red Snapper Ceviche for the first time as my meal along with the Tlalpeño. The ceviche was good but probably best as a shared appetizer. The first bite was the best but started to feel like a can of tuna fish by the end and not really in a bad way—just the consistency. Too much of a good thing! :) Why’d you get rid of the bowls?!? 🍲🤷🏻‍♂️ Will definitely return again... and again... and again...

    Phenomenal food every step of the way! The warm salsa rojo was unexpected, but still tasty. We had snapper ceviche, black paella, and the half rack of lamb. It was insanely good, and the service matched the food! Will absolutely be back.

    Staff was nice enough to seat our party of 6 in the back room since the main dining area was extremely loud! Most everyone enjoyed their meal. I wish you had something on menu that was milder for those of us who have sensitive stomachs. Waiter suggested brisket enchiladas but they were too spicy for me.

    The food was quite good but the service left a lot to be desired. We saw the server infrequently, had to flag him down, ask for the check... It turned what could have been a great evening into a less than stellar experience.

    Food was fantastic and creative. From Mexican avocado toast to Wagyu carne asada. The margaritas are delicious as well. And the service was outstanding- polite, knowledgeable, attentive, but not overbearing. It's my new favorite in Irving.

    On a nice day, opt to sit outside on the patio! This is a hidden gem with delicious options! This is a true Mexican/Seafood meal, and not an over cheesy Tex-mex option. The ambiance is 10/10.

    We had been there several times. When we were there a couple of days ago, they have changed the menu... no more cochinita pibil. New menu is expensive and missing all kind of coherence. $17 for 2 enchiladas or 2 tacos... it doesn't make sense any more. We won't be coming back. They changed 3 pages of food and 2 for cocktails and wines to 2 pages of food, have are apetizers, and 3 full of alcohol beverages.

    My husband ordered the salmon and loved it. I ordered the brisket tacos. They were ok but nothing spectacular. The corn salsa was ok. The cerviche was amazing.
