Humble Grape Battersea
The food was okay but the clams were slightly over cooked. Our main issue was with our server who was quite awkward. We were double booked which was fine but when we asked where we would now be sat he replied ‘don’t worry sir you’ll still be sat within the establishment’ in quite a condescending tone of voice.
Was great from start to finish. Was helped with the wine choice and the meat balls were amazing! Highly recommended.
Nice little wine bar for a get-together with partner and/or friends. Table set-up not ideal for dining so best to go for a glass and a nibble rather than a meal. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Food was poor. Had to wait 10 min to get seated (even though there were only 3 tables taken. Just one staff member. Bill was reasonable but that was it!
Lovely intimate wine bar with great service and wonderful ambience. Both dining levels are up/downstairs from street level so not particularly accessible if that’s a requirement.
First visit to the Humble Great despite living in the area for years. Great food, great wine and nice atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.
Great vibe. Food always outstanding.
Will return. Wine selection great also.
We came here for a get together with friends and had a great night. The service is top notch, staff very knowledgable about the wine and making great suggestions. The food is the real surprise here though. Really gorgeous small plates of food - we had to try everything in the end !
Cool venue and live music on Weds.
Really enjoyed it !
Absolutely amazing food. Excellent wine and a great atmosphere
Benjamin our waiter was excellent. Wine and food (cheese) was also great.
Good choice of wines but the food portions were very small and pricey.
Had the bottomless brunch on a Saturday - £15 for 2 hours of prosecco if you are ordering food (which is also delicious!)
Good atmosphere and good food but expensive for what you get.
Made a last minute booking. Got to restaurant they didn’t have the booking, fair enough but then made us feel like they were doing us a huge favour by eating there. Then put us on an awful table next to the kitchen doors, and staff equipment table, despite the fact there were seemingly at least 4 other free tables. Sat there for nearly 10 minutes. Nobody came to table despite several members of staff walking by us to/from kitchen. Tried to catch someone’s attention to ask if we could move tables but were ignored. We are locals who have visited Humble Grape since they opened and had always found service great -and super friendly in the past. But Thursday evening I did not seem that way. Ended up leaving, on Way out, they offered us an alternative table! Too late.
Great service helpful and knowledgable service . Food was simple and tasty.
We had a great dinner here. Everything we ate was delicious. Service was very good. We didn't know what choice of rosé wine to select but the waitress helped us out and we were glad that she did.
My fourth visit and consistently good. The service is friendly and food delicious, particularly the small plates. My only negative was that the baked camembert was £16 which seemed very expensive for a small dish and was more expensive than meatballs (which were yum). However I highly recommend the Humble Grape and will be returning!
The highlight was the four wines tasting for £10. It was a real bonus having an enthusiastic wine specialist confidentially talk through what we were drinking. Whilst I appreciate the main focus here is the wine, I think the good menu could be a little more extensive. It felt a bit limited in terms of choice. Great ambiance and friendly service.
When staff are clearly fairly new - the (new) manager is keen to impress.
All very forced.
And when the new manager "Takes the liberty" of ordering 2 starters that we didn't want or eat, YOU CANNOT CHARGE FOR IT!!!!!
Wait - oh yes he did.
Used to be our local.
Beautiful wine, good atmosphere.
I'm not sure we will be returning for a while.
