We go to Hunger Pang frequently and it is always awesome.
The waitress was by herself and clearly in the weeds. However, she was super nice and did her best to take care of everyone as quickly and kindly as possible. The food was delicious and she did a great job considering she was having a rough night. It was my second time there and I will be back again for sure.
The food was amazingly good. The waitress was extremely nice and attentive. My friends and I had a wonderful brunch and will definitely be back. This place is a great neighborhood gem.
We have ordered take out before so we were satisfied to eat on site. Our only concern is that dishes tended to be too salty. Desserts were ecxellent
The most amazing food I’ve eaten in a long time!
I plan on going again and again!!
Aside if the acoustics, this place is great!
Food outstanding! Mushroom dumplings delicious, Pan fried noodles with steak, perfect - ceab rice and jalapeño rice incredible (but shrimp NOT large/jumbo).
Awesome place! Delicious food!! I would recommend this to anyone who wants a new take on Asian fusion
It was a good experience. The food was good and service was great!0
Delicious uncomplicated dishes; excellent service, cozy atmosphere.
Excellent food and service with a fairly high noise level.
It was a big group for my birthday. Excellent service.
The food was delicious. Presentation was very nice as well. Its like eating great food at home. The ambiance makes it feel comfortable and welcoming.
This is definitely va place to eat dinner at often.
Medwin the owner, treats everyone like a guest star in his restaurant.
I brought my team here after a day of meetings, the owner took care of us while we sat in the back patio - amazing food and service. A gem!
Hunger Pang is one of our favorite places. Amazing high quality food and Edwin, the head chef and owner, is warm and friendly and greets us like old friends every time we come in. The back patio is a great hidden gem as well when the weather warms up!
The menu is a bit limited here and the food isn’t delicious enough to make up for the lack of variety.
Hunger Pang is an unassuming gem of a restaurant, with great food, welcoming staff and a comfortable ambiance -- at a very very reasonable price point. Every dish was excellent, and very different from each other. The broad noodles were substantial with a silky broth. The wings were the best I've ever had. The chicken was moist, tender and flavorful. It's a delightful find in our new neighborhood.
The place is small & intimate. The owner is a very cool guy. The waitresses are very friendly. The food is fresh & delicious. The mild shrimp jalepeno rice is so light & fluffy. It’s not greasy at all. And the shiitake vegetable dumplings are delicious!
Amazing food. Bok choy was delicious. The viet crepe was outstanding. So many complex and complimentary flavors. Love this place. Even things like the tater tots are out of this world. Don’t leave without the cheese dumplings!
Great food and wonderful service! Would recommend it for a casual and tasty bite
Hunger Pang is our go to neighborhood spot. this time we brought friends who were in from out of town and they were hooked at the Pangry Wings and Veggie Dumplings. the pan friend noodles with shrimp, the rice over shrimp, the Spicy tuna Avocado bowl and the Uncle Guan's chicken with those amazing fries rounded out our individual entree choices...all loved what they had and the always big portions made for leftovers...it is also a nice touch when the Chef comes over and says hello, which Chef Pang always does...he is a great Chef but also a warm and friendly guy who seems to appreciate his loyal customers.
Great night even better food!
Our server was so nice. Food was excellent. Would definitely recommend it. Wings were great as were the pang noodles.
Had wanted out food wrapped up (it was not much), they forgot and we didn't bother to tell them, so that is on us.
We've been going to Hunger Pang since it opened several years ago and love it! The food is always great and so many items to choose from. We love the Pangry Wings, and opt for the classic as my wife shies away from the Chili spice (but plenty of hot sauce at the table, if needed. the fish special is always great and I love the Pang Fried noodles with /shrimp or chicken; the steak is amazing; the tuna and avocado bowl is great if you are trying to be a tad healthier; The Uncle guan's chicken is great and the fries are always to die for. For desert there is this Flourless Chocolate Chili Torte that will met in your mouth and leave you wanting more. It is a small restaurant that started taking reservations on Open Table, which helps on the weekend.
Wonderful experience. Food was outstanding and you never feel rushed but like a valued group of customers. Food is outstanding.
Very good and unique take on Chinese food. Service was a bit spotty.
Great food, awesome drinks, fun times!
We were referred to the restaurant by our Airbnb host as we were staying in the area. Overall the food was average. Aside from that we had terrible service. The server was extremely unattentive and impossibly hard to track down when we needed anything, even though it was a small space....She was occupied with chatting to other patrons, forgot one of our items that we ordered. The manager didn’t seem to care when I told him about our experience. Unfortunately I would not be able to recommend this restaurant.
The lone waitress manning the tables and the bar was horrible and condescending. My fellow diner gave his order to her when she finally managed to get to our table. He then took out his Amex to buy a pair of jeans online on his phone, and the waitress puts her index finger on the card while he’s browsing the online store and says, “We don’t take that!” He replies, “That’s fine. It’s not for you.” He was clearly on his huge phone looking at jeans. When three of the four plates we ordered come out, she says, “Did I forget anything?” We mention the fourth dish, and she replies, “Well, that’s later. Right? This is now,” with both of her hands in the air. Bizarre. She unpleasant to most everyone that came in through the door.
Great experience all around and their food is amazing and GREAT french toast
We only ordered the dumplings, which were....OMG, delicate and set in a baked cheese dish....I just can't explain, but it was perfect with the vinegary sauce. The noodle dish was great - the rice dish, pretty good!
I'm not going to fill out all the options on the check list. Here's the deal. My husband and I have eaten a number of Hunger Pang meals take-out, when we were visiting our daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter (a grandson now on the way!). Always good. (My husband and I average out at age 70.) We ate at the actual restaurant for the first time the other night, the two of us with my two cousins (I think they average out at 72.) The three of us women know our food. (My husband, well, he likes to eat.) We ate out that night to spare our daughter another night of people in her tiny apt. at the end of her long work-day. What a wonderful menu and delicious food! Not surprisingly, even better in the restaurant. And what a wonderful waitress! Great service. We are all a little hard of hearing but had NO problems talking over dinner (as we usually do in NYC restaurants). We all like spicy but have to be careful now that we are older, but that wasn't a problem. "Spicy" at Hunger Pang did not mean obscuring "heat." It meant well balanced, effective use of spices and herbs. We felt we had our privacy but enjoyed joining in with the party at the table next to us when we all discovered shared birthdays going on. Long live Hunger Pang!
Hunger Pang was outstanding on every level.
It was wonderful. Can’t say enough about the food! And the service was wonderful as always.
Owner was warm and welcoming when we came in. Food was great all around. Definitely recommend!
Food is the star here. The pork dumplings with cheddar was amazing, with this fried cheddar crust. Great chicken and fried noodles. Could have used either a bigger plate or smaller portions. When we arrived, the place was empty and the service was great. By the time the food arrived, it was busy and we were ignored. Hopefully they can work out the kinks with the service. Otherwise, we loved it!
