Hurley House Hotel Ratings and Reviews
First impressions were wow but had to get the staff's attention for drinks and menu, but after that the service was amazing and also the food! My friend's were very impressed and we will all be visiting again in the future. I have already recommended to family!
A lovely dining room, on a country road with lots of accessible parking. Staff are all very welcoming and pleasant. Menu is interesting and full of appetizing selections. The bread was wonderful and the meals were served with good timing between courses (we hate being rushed through a meal). The only disappointment was the dessert : the seasonal Yule Log - almost bland, not very nice textures.... just missed the mark in every way. (We didn’t say anything as we didn’t want a negative note on what was otherwise a really lovely dining experience).
This was a different breakfast experience for us. High end, peaceful and service was excellent. Breakfast menus was varied but not extreme, catered for all needs. Food was excellent and a pleasure to eat. Will return.
Yes it is a more expensive choice for a breakfast, but the ambience, quality and service deserved the price.
The Hurley House Hotel came highly recommended to us and it did not disappoint. All dishes presented to us were clearly very carefully crafted and superbly presented, most importantly everything was absolutely delicious. In our party were two vegetarian and two carnivore diners and although the balance of the menu is clearly in favour of carnivores, we were delighted by the creative vegetarian offering. The celeriac, cauliflower and truffle starter was a stand out. The deserts are a definite must, 'the green apple' is a delight! We thought the cocktails were lovely and the wine list is immense so it was an all round thumbs up experience. We thought the bill was very reasonable. If you are in the area and looking for a smart meal out in a beautiful setting don't think twice - my only advice is to book ahead.
Excellent Sunday Lunch with friends. Superb major refurbishment of an old country pub in a lovely setting with outside area and spacious restaurant. The food was perfect and the service was friendly and efficient. I would recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner. It is well located with plenty of parking.
Lovely lunch and very good food, service was quick and efficient, which is what you need when you have a limited amount of time. It was great to be able to sit outside under the huge parasols on what was a beautifully sunny day. Lovely surroundings. All in all a very pleasant experience.
Great food, fantastic service. Although they didn't have a cold bottle of the sparkling wine we wanted, they offered a free good quality alternative by the glass, whilst we waited for it to get cold, which I thought went above and beyond good service. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and the hotel that it is attached to.
As always the Hurley House Hotel delivered amazing food. This place cannot be beaten in the local area for the quality of the food. Regrettably the service was a little less attentive than usual and one of the staff members was not very knowledgeable about the dishes which was a shame as we have always found the staff and service to be exceptional (hence the 4 not 5 stars on this occasion for service) but it was nevertheless a great evening out. We will definitely be back!
Two couples met for lunch - sat outside under smart sunshades. Three of us had the set menu...small portions but lovely and good value; the fourth had courses off the bar menu - equally good food and again good value.
As we left we looked inside for another time and thought it would be comfortable in summer and cosy in winter.
Aside from forgetting to inform me when I had ordered my Belini that they weren't actually able to make me once; thus me being the only person at the table not served a drink. Aside from this the food was fantastic and I cannot fault it.
Everything about our evening at Hurley House was perfect. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, the wait staff were knowledgeable of both the menu and the cooking methods (we had been curious about how they'd achieved the amazing presentation of my husband's dessert), the decor was lovely and the lighting completed the ambience perfectly. We are quite good home cooks so when we eat out we like to be wowed and we absolutely were. The food was stunningly presented with the flavours being perfectly balanced. We will definitely be going back.
Had a lovely time at Hurley House - food was amazing, and nothing was ever too much for the waiter that served us. I completely recommend the fillet steak and to finish on the strawberry pudding that they do!
All in all a great dining experience! Worth every penny! I will be going back again.
Great front of house and bar staff. We did have to wait a few times a little too long to order our drinks from the table but the staff we're all well presented and polite. The vegetarian option was average but having tried the duck and the parfay, which were excellent, I would recommend this venue for non vegetarians.
The Restaurant at the Hurley House Hotel
The food presentation was simply stunning and was totally delicious, deserving many Rosettes. The highly talented Michelin-Starred Chef and his Brigade did a superb of satisfying my overly critical palate. Starters: Gorgeousman had a vegetarian starter (I know right?) of Burned Leeks with Salt Baked Celeriac and I had Game & Fois Gras Terrine with wonderful basket of thin toasted bread crisps. We both then had the lamb which was so unctuous and served with house chips and seasoned to perfection. For dessert, I indulged in a sticky toffee pudding with my clearly cleverer other half opting for the Chocolate dessert which was seriously the most chocolatey of chocolate desserts ever.
Breakfast was lovely, Gorgeous had the traditional and I went for the Pancakes with Bacon & Maple syrup which were yummy.
Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Perfect for special occasions and family Sunday roasts, they said that they were going to be doing outdoor BBQs this summer too. Overall, the best place for a meal in the Maidenhead (and Bray!) area by far.
