Great restaurant ... Quality food, knowledgeable staff.., great attention from our server
We are regulars at Hurley House because we enjoy the food and the choice.
Great food great service great dvening
Hadn't been for some time so was pleasantly suprised by the starter and the main dish for both of us it was all excellent and next time we will try the Japanese. Highly recommended.
Liked the bar area by the fire, went for Sunday lunch which was good but I hear it’s a better evening venue for steak than for a roast
The best Sunday lunch ever
Once again, a lovely meal and well looked after by the staff.
We have been here a few times for Sunday Roast and we really enjoyed it, this time we tried the Saturday menu and were totally blown away! They now have Japanese chefs and we could not believe the quality, it is better than many of the top sushi restaurants of London, although simpler choices. The portion sizes were very generous and you also get complimentary bread so next time we need to pace ourselves to try dessert, as they always sound delicious too!
Only comment is we weren’t offered the lunchtime menu as advertised on line Didn’t ask as only wanted one course
Another lovely evening at Hurley House. Lovely food, great wine and wonderful service.
I have been to HHH 4 times now and can't wait to go again. Each time the service and food have been exceptional. I have eaten from the main menu and from the Japanese menu. Both were delicious. I favour the Japanese! Attention to detail with the presentation has always been good. The bread to start with is delicious. The petit fours are superb especially the marshmallows and the coconut balls. It is also very nice when the manager takes the time to talk to you, gives the whole experience a personal touch. The waiting staff are also very welcoming and work very hard. I have recommended the HHH to a few people already! My husband, son and daughter all love it too.
The Sunday roast was lovely - would highly recommend for dinner!
Great Sunday lunch for the family. Best beef in ages, well served and very nice place to be.
Just everything about this place is perfect
We had a special champagne birthday breakfast. A perfect start to a very special day. Couldn't fault it at all and would highly recommend. Thank you :-)
We went to the Hurley House Hotel for our 10th Wedding Anniversary lunch. Everything from the time that we arrived in the reception area to the time we left was excellent. The food was great and they service exceptional.
A perfect Sunday lunch venue - we love it there! Every member of staff is professional and the food is excellent
Incredible experience in every way. Visited Hurley House for drinks in the summer but we were outside then. Thought we should try the restaurant for my wife's birthday and were treated to a wonderful afternoon. Great food, drink and service. Our 7 year old was made to feel very special. Genuinely a very memorable experience. We will definitely be back.
Everything was exactly as it should be. Service, from having a coffee beforehand to lunch was excellent, friendly and quick.
Food was good, generous portions.
Decor was attractive and the Christmas decorations were tasteful.
Unfortunately I booked 5pm thinking we'd get the main a la carte menu but unfortunately it was the lunch menu so Sunday roast and a few other options which was a shame as we were looking forward to showing our friends and family the lovely menu.
Food was very good rather expensive for a sunday lunch so to speak so a shame as we'd had such a lovely time before. We also got a call from the restaurant at 5.05pm to see where we were and luckily we had just pulled off the road but felt they were chasing us a bit which is always a shame as you feel under pressure and it wasn't busy.
Amazing service. They were so accommodating and helpful. I would definitely recommend.
This is a genuinely great place to eat. The food is fantastic, service attentive but not overbearing, and the setting is subtly opulent and classy. Every detail has been thought of from the bathrooms to the table settings. This is an exciting place for foodies. There is some excellent cooking going on here and is certainly worth a trip for lunch or dinner.
Perfectly pitched for my preference. Tasteful and classy place but not too grand that you can’t relax. Great menu (not pretentious). Nice bar for pre dinner drinks too.
The perfect location for a friends Christmas meal.
Every member of staff was friendly, attentive and welcoming
Our waiters was just excellent, extremely helpful, happy to answer questions and had a friendly persona.
Food was absolutely delicious, well presented, hot and just overall fab
Perfect evening with great friends - thank you
Always enjoy going to Hurley House hotel. Looks lovely with the twinkly lights. Great service, delicious food, plenty of gins, friendly and helpful staff. Need to try the afternoon tea and breakfast next. Fabulous 😀
Wonderful afternoon spent at Hurley House. Food was lovely, my husband thoroughly enjoyed the Japanese options. A very good wine list too. The service was of a very high standard, all staff were knowledgable, friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be going back.
You have at last got it right re the menu. I love the Japanese menu, the sashimi is fab and the Black cod to die for and the men always love the pork belly and cottage pie. Its necessary to offer something different as there is so much choice these days.
The atmosphere in the restaurant could do with warming up, ORANGE CUSHIONS would do it or orange velvet blinds at the windows instead of those funny little cafe half curtains!! There is too much wood, leather and slate, please add some warm velvets, you can always change in the summer months. An open fire in the bar would be good too.
But overall it's a great place to have on our doorstep
A superb meal as always but spoiled on this occasion by a diner speaking constantly and loudly in to his mobile phone. He was holding it away from his mouth and speaking in to the speaker. Another table had to move because of the noise. It was disappointing that no one at Hurley House asked him to speak a little more quietly. It spoilt my evening and clearly disrupted others.
The staff were great, like last time the food was spot on and just great ambiance. I’d high recommend this place to anyone going for a small group. They also offer a semi private section which I used last time and was amazing for me and my family
First time visit to Hurley House and a special occasion. We weren't disappointed, food was excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Décor is really beautiful and we noticed on the way out that they take dogs in the bar - so we'll be back soon! thanks so much Hurley House, we really enjoyed our visit, see you next time.
Lovely place since the refurb and change. Nice staff, great food and dog friendly.
Beautiful decor and garden really tastefully done. Plenty of parking. Christmas decor was very beautiful and festive. Staff friendly. Service was very prompt. Food was tasty and well presented. I thought that the wine list was expensive. One guest asked how much the house white was and was told £32.00. So they opted for a Prossecco which was £35.00. But it wasn't a problem to us as 4 of the guests were sharing it. They did a nice Happy Birthday chocolate touch with Petit Fours, very thoughtful. Would highly recommend.
Hurley House is currently at the top of my favourite restaurants list. Exceptional service from delightful team in the restaurant and food that looks and tastes delicious. Alongside the a la carte menu HH presents a Japanese menu that includes the superb black cod, wonderful and enormous, king prawn tempura and Chinese broccoli that is so addictive, it's impossible not to return for another visit and order it all again. Definitely a food crush that I don't want to get over any time soon. A very special place. Very highly recommended.
I am very impressed with the Hurley House Hotel. The staff are friendly, professional, welcoming and attentive. The food was beautifully prepared, served and tasted delicious. I whole heartedly recommend!
A hidden gem of a place to eat, fantastic food at a reasonable (not cheap) price, great attentive and friendly service, and such a nice venue as well
Good value, good food and a very pleasant atmosphere
A gem. Quality food. Attentive yet not invasive service.
Very lively and enjoyable atmosphere on a Friday evening. Food very good although I wish I had chosen the normal menu and not the Japanese which was a bit limited. The desserts were outstanding. Service very good too.
Very accommodating and friendly staff. Very noisy in the restaurant (busy and bad acoustics) so we moved to their bar area which was nice. Food was very good. Quite pricey. Will definitely return.
What an amazing place. The quality and attention to detail is just lovely and the restaurant is amazing. The Japanese menu is a lovely idea and really amazing food. Something normally reserved for central London. Will definitely be back. Our room was one of the best and hotel deserves its awards.
