Here at iâl Restaurant, we are passionate about creating an excellent dining experience whilst caring for our environment. iâl Restaurant offers only the best contemporary cuisine, produced using a mix of home grown and locally sourced Welsh ingredients. Using the Welsh and European Farm to Fork strategy, we farm our own meat, grow our own fruits and vegetables, and produce our own dairy with our colleagues at Northop and Llysfasi farm. In collaboration with Coleg Cambria, we introduce to you a fresh approach to dining, here in the heart of Wrexham town centre. In light relaxing surrounding, submerse yourself with friends and family in our beautiful retreat. Where the music is acoustic and the lights dimmed, come sample our signature 24 hour cooked beef brisket dish or let us choose for you with our weekly specials. If the sound of that doesn't grab your attention, the smell of our fresh focaccia and sourdough we bake everyday will.

    Ellis Barrie, Chef and owner of Lerpwl, a fine dining establishment based in the Royal Albert Dock in Liverpool, will be bringing his kitchen team to ial to Launch our Guest Chef Evening Events.                                                     We had a starter and a pudding which was lovely- light batter on the black pudding was delicious. Felt there could have been a couple more dishes on the mains. Would definitely recommend and are definitely going to return- nice to have a nice restaurant in Wrexham- we need more!

                                                    A much under used resource within the college and Wrexham itself. It provides a lovely environment to eat, the students are so engaging and the staff are just fabulous. If you haven’t eaten here yet, you should! The food is excellent.

                                                    My wife and I have eaten at Ial twice before and found it very good. On this occasion we were disappointed by the abysmal service. The service staff consisted of a bartender and an indifferent waiter, there being no restaurant supervisor as on our previous visits. I ordered a gin and tonic expecting gin in a glass with a separate tonic, when it arrived, the drink had been mixed and the glass was full to overflowing. Our nibbles were very good sourdough bread and butter. The table had been set with knife, fork and napkin and we used the knives from the setting to butter the bread. The waiter came to take the bread platter away before we had finished and when he finally did remove it, asked us if we wanted new knives, which we did. Starters and main courses were good and well presented. Dessert when it arrived was nicely presented but very cold and hard and the waiter made some vague comment about not removing them from the fridge or freezer in time. The food was reasonably priced and the drinks, particularly the wine were good value. The waiter showed little interest throughout despite the fact that the place was not busy, only three tables occupied. Our disappointment at the poor service probably means that we will not use this restaurant again.

                                                    What a wonderful addition to the food and hospitality industry in Wrexham. We had afternoon tea and it was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the food tasted incredible. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and I love that the staff are being trained in their chosen career. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back. Thank you so much.

                                                    We came for a friend's catch up and belated birthday celebration. I was left to make the decision on where to go so I chose the Iâl. It definitely didn't dissappoint. The service was great, the cocktails were lovely made with fresh fruit. The food was absolutely delicious and really well presented. Both of my friends will definitely be coming back with other friends and recommending the restaurant. Its a truly unique venue to Wrexham and we definitely will be returning.

                                                    Yet again, sampled some lovely food in Restaurant Iâl. Beautifully cooked sea bass and duck. Could have easily eaten a bigger portion. Loved the rhubarb and custard cheesecake! We were sitting next to a table of 12 ladies, hence the noise level! Would have been nicer to be sat a little further away, but this did not detract from the enjoyment of the food. Excellent friendly service as always. We’ll be back!

                                                    Popped here for a meal with my son. The service was very personable, the staff were very pleasant and the menu had good options but wasn't too extensive. We settled for the soup and Welsh Rarebit to start, both dishes were very well presented and the flavour matched the presentation. For the mains we went for the Beef brisket and the catch of the day which was Sea bass. Again, the presentation was really impressive, enough food to satisfy the appetite without feeling like we needed to be rolled back to the car! Everything tasated fantastic (to me), my son enjoyed the brisket but at 13 wasn't for trying the green puree.... I can't recall the name of it, but it was the only thing left on his plate! The desserts were at the same or even higher standard. I gave the Rhubarb and Custard a try, wow. Everything on the plate was incredible, I enjoyed every mouthful. So much so that by the time I'd looked up from my dish, my son's sticky toffee pudding was gone.... I'm guessing he enjoyed that as well! A brilliant experience and already looking forward to a return visit.

                                                    Lovely food, very well served, in a really pleasant and smart setting. It was the perfect setting for a post-match celebratory meal after watching Wrexham AFC win the semi-final and make it to Wembley. We had a spare place at the table because Ryan Reynolds couldn't join us this time as he had to fly back to New York - he missed out on a really nice meal at Iâl Restaurant which was the perfect finale to an excellent day out. Already tried to rebook for a pre-match meal before the next game on Saturday, but unfortunately fully booked.

                                                    Visited on Mothers day 2022 and had Sunday lunch with 3 courses. The choice was very good for all courses. We were greeted and shown to our table and offered a complimentary glass of Prosecco which was a lovely touch and also a large bottle of water. The service was exceptional all through the meal and had interaction from the service team and a chat which was nice ,hearing about what the students are hoping to achieve during their time in the college. Both my Mother and Mother inlaw where impressed by the surroundings and the overall experience. I will definitely be coming back and recommending to my friends. Excellent A*
