Our name comes from the Gaelic word for fish. It’s a wee bit tricky to pronounce, but it’s no bother if guests don’t get it quite right. With delicious fresh produce served by our very own Head Chef, Sean Currie, you'll feel the energy in the way we go about things – our warm welcome, enthusiasm for what we do, and, of course, a splash of Glaswegian banter.

Had lunch and dinner in the restaurant, my lunch was amazing so no complaints however the choice available for my wife was limited. Seems a strange choice of having a seafood restaurant in a hotel and then with only limited non seafood items available. Is a stand alone type of restaurant advisable ? My wife had as a dessert at lunch cheese and crackers. 2 crackers, a portion of cheese that was the same size as a portion of butter, tiny, and 4 tiny batons of apple. Very poor. Evening meal was Rib eye at £48. Quite possibly the worst steak I've had, the steak knife struggled to cut it, I was chewing for ever and we both took about 3/4 of the steak home for our dogs. Very over priced and very poor steak. The staff however were amazing but so many better restaurant options in Glasgow

In summary there were elements of the service that could have been better, but the staff were friendly. The food was very good, but we were only offered a set menu . ( Sunday lunchtime) . The restaurant area itself was well decorated and maintained but it had the feeling of a large “ barn “ or canteen and lacked any character , so overall for the money a disappointing experience.

This was a wonderful night of fine food—curried muscles to die for, baked cod done perfectly, perfectly sautéed scallops and very attentive fun staff! Cocktails were also great! The place has it goin’ on!

We arrived at hotel and stood some time waiting at the restaurant reception desk which was unmanned, lots of staff walked by , no one asked if they could help ,had to go to main reception and was told someone would be with us shortly. Table was OK although a little close to diners on each side, white wine was warm and had to ask for a cold bottle. Water glasses were not routinely filled and again had to ask. I have soda in my wine and it took ordering three times for it to arrive. Food was again OK, the cod scotch egg was the highlight of my meal, mussels were cooked perfectly however the goan curry sauce was lacklustre. Hubbies lamb was again OK nothing exciting. The restaurant lacked any sense of a special night out, it was disappointing. I cannot remember a restaurant when you have after dinner coffees there is no shortbread/ tablet/ small chocolate or some small delicacy. Having previously eaten here ( pre pandemic ) on many occasions I don’t feel that the iasg restaurant provides the five star experience that I used to get. It was pricy and really not worth the cost as I could have been eating OK food anywhere there was nothing that made it a dining experience. We wont eat here again, such a shame as it used to be one of my favourites for a special occasion.

Dinner at this restaurant has been a wonderfull experience. The place is nicely decorated. The food is delicious. Overall the staff is of high care of their customers and at high level of satisfaction. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back for my next stay at Glasgow.

We had a lovely meal to celebrate getting married the day before. The food and drinks were great. Our server was especially friendly, helped answer our questions about the menu and gave us some complementary fizz to celebrate our special occasion with.

Had scallops for the first time and they were divine! Just melted in my mouth. The cod was cooked to perfection and was delicious too along with the cauliflower gratin. My friend had the asparagus to start and the whole plaice for the main. She thoroughly enjoyed both. Would recommend this restaurant, particularly for a special occasion and will definitely return again. My new favourite place to dine.

Our first visit to this restaurant. We had the early evening set menu prior to theatre. Food was very good but what made this visit such an enjoyable one was the brilliant service. Attentive, but not intrusive, very friendly and welcoming. Absolutely first rate. We will be back!

Fish was extremely salty. We had mentioned to the manager so that they were aware, and his response was “we’ve had a lot of people say that, and I also tasted it and agree. It comes pre-salted so nothing we can do”. If that’s the case, remove from the menu or change..? Disappointed with the response given this is a seafood inspired restaurant. No attempt made by management to rectify.

Beautiful dining area, excellent staff although kitchen was slow, the menu needs to be welcoming to a wider public, too many concoctions of ingredients and way over priced for the quality of produce also the wine lost is also over priced with many sections available at other Glasgow establishments at more competitive prices. For such a beautiful hotel their bar/restaurant choice has never been as good as the hotel and spa and the upstairs former bar area also needs reactivated and made more intimate and welcoming.

Food was great but service was below average especially for a 5* hotel and the pricing, with waiters not having enough training for example when an incorrect dish was brought to us and we asked what it was, the waiter also didn’t know what the dish was. Then being brought desert menus before the plates have been cleared.
