Ida B's Table
I really enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant. The food selection was good. Even as a vegetarian I was able to find something to eat. The band/music that was playing tonight was great and added to the good experience. The general manager spoke with my wife and I concerning the Danny Glover portrait in the restaurant, that seemed out of place; although, we both knew it had to have a purpose. Thanks for taking the time to speak with us.
Love the place and the food! The only critique is the music is too loud.
Yes, recommend it, no question. The oxtail dish with root vegetables was excellent. Also had beef marrow with garlic toast, also excellent. All the other dishes sounded very good, would go back just to check them out.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a historic trip down memory lane when it comes to the foods of Black American and African descendant peoples. A thoughtful menu, thoughtful beverage programme and wonderful chef/owner and staff. I love this place.
Had a great date night with hubby
The curry wings were delicious. The salmon dish and beef ribs were great
Love love love Ida B’s. This was my first time going on a Friday night with jazz and the singer was amazing. I hated to leave.
Loved the food and atmosphere. People were very friendly. Live Jazz was totally on point! Loved it. Perfect for a celebration...
Fabulous place! Great food, great service, and great ideas behind it all. Ida B Wells is my new hero.
Ida B's came highly recommended by a dear friend so we were super excited. The restaurant has a very inviting urban vibe with music that keeps you swaying and one of the friendliest, most knowledgeable wait staffs I've encountered in a very long time. The entrees we ordered were a little lackluster, leaving us a bit underwhelmed. But then...DESSERT!! The Peach Cobbler Bread Pudding is E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G!!! Warm, buttery, silky, satisfying, not too sweet, extremely well-balanced with warming spices. If I'm ever back in the area, I would definitely go back for dessert. Bravo!!
Had the pleasure of a birthday dinner with my cousin. It was a Sunday evening. The food was good and the servers were friendly.
Definitely will be back!
Our experience overall was ok. It was our second time in over a year. We had brunch. A large family was seated next to us with children running all over the place ... sometimes that can’t be helped. It was definitely time to go at that point though. Our server was informative and awesome...my husbands food was a bit too salty. We love the concept and love to support Ida B’s but we question our return.
I made reservations for 8:15pm. I was seated quickly but the waiter did a terrible job and never took our order. It was only me and my friend. We waited 35 minutes before finally going to the bar to ask if we could order our food. We saw our waiter constantly go to other tables to service them. We ended up having to sit in the bar area even though I made a reservation to be in the restaurant area. The bar manager told us we had to sit in the bar, since we were ordering from the bar, but we were only ordering from the bar because we were hungry and the waiter was not taking our order even after we asked him in passing if could take our order. He said he would be right there and never came. The manager apologizes but did not do much to accommodate the inconvenience We still didn't get our food until 9:30. This was my 4th time at Id B's and I am extremely disappointed in the service.
Went to celebrate my Wife's birthday a party of 6. We all had a great time and the food was good. Service however was a little slow. The server was nice but didn't always check back with us in a timely manner though. The food like I mentioned was good but slow coming out of the kitchen when we felt like there weren't a ton of people in the restaurant at the time. Even with that, the live music was great and I definitely would go back again.
My boyfriend's birthday brunch was a success. He loved the food and atmosphere. Our waitress was super knowledgeable, attentive, and sweet. We will definitely be returning!
I would be willing to try Ida B's a 2nd time - thus I would recommend this spot to a friend.
Food was great, but the air conditioning was so high we were shivering.
The food was very good, especially the shrimp and grits. The service was just ok. The restaurant was not that crowded but the server was extremely slow and not that informative about the menu. I had to find things out about the menu by listening to what other servers were telling there tables
The food is absolutely amazing! I love the ambiance and the decor representing our African - American History and the live music was awesome!
Beautiful space and the waitstaff and other crew manage it very well.
The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend to others.
The only issue I have is that I think the brunch menu could use a few more options. I found myself choosing between a lot of similar items.
Awesome food, atmosphere, and service as always. Live jazz band was a great touch with great musicians. Peach cobbler is highly recommended. Pair their cornbread with some Chardonnay and it will change your life!
Our meals were delicious and the service was excellent!
Everything was great. Try the catfish sandwich. It is a very well kept restaurant as well.
Food was very well prepared very pleasing to the eyes and to the taste buds very different menu nothing boring at all
Food and serve was fantastic. I will definitely be coming back and bringing a friend.
Excellent menu options, service, location, ambience and pricing.
Ida B's is a total hidden gem. I say hidden because I'm always in the know and learned about it through a temp that relocated to this area and informed me and i'm so glad that she did. I would highly recommend it and the hospitality was so great! I'm ringing the alarm about Ida B's Table!
Our waiter was not attentive and I tried chicken and waffles were very tasteless . My hubby loved the shrimp and grits he best.
I went to Ida Bs for my Sisters 50th Bday and between the hostess and the food we felt very at home and had a wonderful time.
Music was great but VERY noisy - food was good and wholesome and different- would go back and try other entrees
The service was incredible. The live music, phenomenal. We really enjoyed the theme and ambiance. Such a special space. The managerial staff was so gracious as well.
At first i was nervous about the term modern soul food. thankfully once the food came out whatever hesitations I had were put to rest. The food was delicious, i had the smoked fried chicken with greens and fries and my husband the fried catfish with mac and cheese and greens. Did i mention that the food was delicious! We couldn't even eat all of the food, which was sad because I really wanted to try their deserts. The layout was great, waitress was helpful and kind and it was just an all around great place to be. I can't wait to go back.
We celebrated my mother's 66th birthday their and had a great time. She enjoyed the food, the service, and historical ambiance. Definitely a hidden gem in Baltimore!
Lovely spot. Excellent service. A great experience.
This place is one of our favorite eateries in Baltimore. The food is top notch with great value and quality. Service is has always been superb.
My wife and I's favorite restaurant hands down. Amazing food, incredibly warm/friendly staff and great vibes overall.
Absolutely top notch. Must go. Do it now!
Amazing. Best wings I’ve ever had
Ida B’s ambiance is exceptional. It has a casual elegance and was quite the melting pot. There was an atmosphere of a neighborhood restaurant where everyone was interconnected. The food was very good and steady, nothing exceptional but all quite good. The servers were especially attentive. Overall, I loved my experience.
The wait staff was very helpful in navigating the menu. We followed her recommendations and were not disappointed!
Empty restaurant yet slow service. Food was excellent though
