Nos gustó mucho la comida el sitio y el servicio muy agradables
Lovely meal in traditional 'Italian'-feeling little restaurant. Tables well spaced out from other diners (if you are worried about COVID). Very good value for money and convenient for the British Museum - and the London Review Bookshop, which is just opposite.
Great tasting food across the set menu, accompanied by attentive service.
We were the only diners in the restaurant, the menu was lacking as some basic items we asked for were not available, Caprese Salad, Spicy Meatballs, Steak, Panacotta
Nice little independent Italian place in Bloomsbury. The menu has the usual dishes as well as a few interesting additions like asparagus wrapped in prosciutto. Coffee was quite good. Seating is "cozy". In any case, recommended.
food portion was less for the amount charged. Also please do not put this minimum of 50 characters for the review. Short and sweet review at times is enough
The lovely staff cooked escalopine al limone for me despite it not being on the menu and they were excellent at getting us fed as we only had an hour - perfect place to have supper before or after an event at The London Book Review Bookshop as it is directly opposite!
Food was superb, unfussy but full of flavour. Thoroughly recommend. Wish we had this restaurant closer to home !
I had pre-booked Il Castelletto for diner à deux with a friend, wanting somewhere close to the British Museum. The restaurant was very nearby just down a quiet street from the Museum.
The restaurant was very clean and nicely furnished. Service was attentive, the menu had a good choice available and the food was excellent. I really cannot fault it in any way and I hope to be back again soon.
Lovely intimate restaurant lovely food service very good.
The kitchen was closed but we had our reservation through open table and opened the kitchen back up and went above and beyond to prevent our dinner plans from being spoiled. Food tasted homemade and authentic. Highly recommend!
Both of the waitresses were amazing, funny and great to talk to. It was a NYE dinner with friends and they helped our night start off right.
Very nice main course and starter off the fixed price menu. Wine was also nice, however the dessert was frozen when it came back. It was taken off the bill in the end.
Food was good and service was quick. However was hardly service with a smile. Also had to be asked to be moved due to a flickering light bulb that apparently could t be replaced
I have been here before and had great service and food. This time both were mediocre!
We had a lovely dinner, everything was great including delicious food. But their service needs to be improved, our waitress was a little bit unfriendly and hurrying us up during the order, which is not nice.
Went here for lunch with my son. Lovely traditional Italian restaurant serving real Italian food at reasonable prices
Lovely atmosphere, had a groupon voucher, very good deal, good service & food tasty!
An impromptu lunch. Very quiet but delicious pasta and my salad incluse was delicious. Would definitely go again as staff were really friendly and the food was fresh and good value.
Honestly we had the worst food with the worst experience. The staff was incredibly rude.
Service was slow, staff enjoying pop music and flicking her hair. The food was edible but did not wow with presentation nor flavour - could have been a frozen dinner. Left disappointed and hungry.
A hidden gem! The service was excellent, the food was hot and fresh, would highly recommend to anyone.
Great food and service!
The meal was very good. Service was friendly and quick. We will be back for sure.
I'm Castelletto is like the best neighbourhood, round the corner Italian but is helpfully in central London, just down from the British Museum. It is not a large place and the food is nice and tasty
We always come here when we visit the British Museum and are never disappointed. The service is friendly, and the food always very good.
Very nice. Small menu. Quick service and friendly. Convenient from having visited The British Museum.
This is really a stop off point for tourists in the area. We booked by accident, and whilst the service is 'swift', it isn't particularly good. Fine if you are a (wealthy) tourist in a hurry.
We wanted somewhere quiet and convenient after a trip to the British Museum and Il Castelletto was a great choice. The food was good and reasonably priced and the service was excellent. It is not a very big restaurant but that was not an issue for us. It was quietly busy while we were there and at no point did we have to strain to hear what we were saying to each other. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area who wants good, reasonably priced food in what could be a very expensive touristy part of London
Our evening meal was over all a positive experience. It was very quiet and the service was very attentive. Two of the four of us found the food to be excellent. The other two thought their food good but not more. But we would definitely recommend it as a good experience.
They offer the kind of food you only get in that perfect little Italian Trattoria you found in Tuscany. Nothing complex, but well cooked with good ingredients. Stayed around the corner and this was a good way to end the day. We went three times in all and I had something different every time. They will cook almost anything for you if they have the ingredients. Both waitresses were helpful and friendly. Will not hesitate to go back the next time we're in London.
Lovely starter of fresh bread bruschetta and tomatoes and mains of pasta were fine. But dolce latte and pear salad was very poor: two tiny pieces of dolcelatte cheese ! For £4:95!
We asked for a second round of beers but they never came . Still, we were not charged for these,
An ok place but would pass next time
Lovely Restaurant serving authentic Italian food. Quiet on the evening we were there with a party of 4 from Freemason's Hall. Recommended
The food is lovely and freshly cooked. Service is good.
Party of 4 on a Friday night - the staff were fantastic. Quick and efficient service and very friendly. We stayed until late and had not noticed the restaurant was closing and was not put under any pressure to finish our food/drinks. Great experience.
Good value, but a limited and not a very sophisticated menu for an Italian cuisine
Not bad but not memorable.
Without grief or glory.
I expected much more.
Food was a bit disappointing although tasty, service good, ambience good.
Lovely local-feeling restaurant in the heart of London - a real find
Delicious meal and wine, the portion sizes were just right and a great ambience.
the 3 star rating is for the toilets.
The toilets need to be kept clean. They was no toilet roll, the bins need to be emptied and it was generally dirty.
I would recommend the food, but the facilities need an hourly check and clean.
